In this paper, in order to understand fully the development of failure mechanism, bearing capacity and seismic performance of the steel H-beams and composite concrete filled steel tubular (CFST) column joints strengthened by outside strengthening ring, in the space zone the effects of changing the axial compression ratio is investigated. A 3D joint finite element model is built up by finite element software ABAQUS, the elastic-plastic finite element analysis is carried through numerical modeling process. The analysis results showed that low axial compression ratio has a little influence on the bearing capacity; with the increase of axial pressure the bearing capacity will decrease in a high axial compression ratio, moreover the failure pattern of joint changes from beam end to column end. The ductility of the specimens is decreased by raising axial compression ratio.

This article researches seismic performance of the joint of cellular steel column and steel beam through simulation of the finite element software. With the change of axial force, we can attain the load-displacement hysteretic curves, skeleton curves under the different axial compression ratio, and then analyze their bearing capacity, ductility, energy dissipation and other mechanical properties. Results show that, the decrease of axial compression ratio is helpful to improve the bearing capacity of specimens. The joints of cellular steel column and steel beam have full hysteretic curve, good ductility and seismic performance.

To reduce the construction cost of the domestic promotion of the new prefabricated concrete shear wall structure system which is promoted in our country. To analyze the factors which can affect the load-carrying capacity and seismic performance of shear wall, including the axial compression ratio, the concrete strength, the reinforcement ratio and some other factors. Among all these factors, the axial compression ratio is the main factor influencing the seismic performance and the section ductility [1]. This paper adopts the ANSYS finite element analysis program, operating a nonlinear analysis on the performance of the precast shear wall when it is with one-way loading, studying the axial compression ratio's effect on the bearing capacity and deformability of the precast shear wall. According to the finite element analysis, when the axial compression ratio is between 0.2 to 0.4 and as it rises, the specimen's bearing capacity and stiffness will increases while deformability and ductility will decrease. Through the finite element analysis, we can provide reliable theory basis for the performance of the precast shear wall when it is with one-way loading.

Nonlinear numerical analysis for the stress performance of frame Side Joint is processed in this paper with the finite element software of ABAQUS. Compared with experimental results, numerical analysis results are found to be reasonable. Then the influence of factors such as reinforcement ratios, stirrup ratio and axial compression ratio are contrastively analyzed. The results show that reinforcement ratios have a greater influence on the bearing capacity and hysteretic performance of the structure, but the stirrup ratio and the axial compression ratio have less influence.

SRC-RC transfer columns are commonly designed as a transition floor for high-rising buildings to transfer from lower SRC columns to upper RC columns. The mechanical performances are studied in the paper using the finite element software of ABAQUS. Nonlinear numerical analyses are made for SRC-RC transfer columns firstly to obtain the relationship between force and displacement at top of the columns. By comparing the analytical results with experimental ones, it is found that the results from finite element analysis coincide well with experimental ones. So ABAQUS software could be used as a supplementary means to simulate SRC-RC transfer columns mechanical behavior. Then the factors such as steel ratio and axial compression ratio are contrastively analyzed. The results show that axial compression ratio has a greater influence on the bearing capacity and hysteretic performance of the structure, but the steel ratio has less influence. Finally, comparisons between SRC-RC and RC columns are also made to demonstrate the mechanical performance of SRC-RC columns further. Conclusions drawn in the study might be useful in practical engineering design.

In order to study the performance of concrete frame columns that reinforcedby assembleinclined web steel truss, with the same reciprocatinghorizontal displacement and different axialcompression. It canbe calculate the mechanical behavior of concrete frame columns and reinforced columns by using the finite element analysis software ABAQUS. Simulation analysis shows that the bearing capacity ofreinforced columnshas greatly increased andpresented a full hysteresis curve. The result shows that the reinforcement method of assemble inclined web steel truss can greatly improve the bearing capacity and ductility of the concrete frame column, and the axial compression is larger, the better the reinforcement effect.

In this article the finite element software was used to analyse the values for compressive strength of X-cor sandwich. During the analysis, the failure criteria and materials stiffness degradation rules of failure mechanisms were proposed. The failure processes and failure modes were also clarified. In the finite element model we used the distributions of failure elements to simulate the failure processes. Meanwhile the failure mechanisms of X-cor sandwich were explained. The finite element analysis indicates that the resin regions of Z-pin tips fail firstly and the Z-pins fail secondly. The dominant failure mode is the Z-pin elastic buckling and the propagation paths of failure elements are dispersive. Through contrast the finite element values and test results are consistent well and the error range is -7.6%~9.5%. Therefore the failure criteria and stiffness degradation rules are reasonable and the model can be used to predict the compressive strength of X-cor sandwich.

The CAD software was used to establish 3D model of frame of dump truck, and the finite element model was established through Hyper Mesh. The stress distributions of the frame in vertical accelerating, turning, twisting and climbing conditions were computed through finite element software when the dump truck was loaded 80t. The result is consistent with the actual situation of the frame, which proved that the approach of finite element analysis is feasible. And we proposed the improved method of the frame according to finite element results.

By using finite element software ABAQUS, the nonlinear finite element analysis of earthquake resistance behavior of T-shaped concrete-filled rectangular composite steel tubular columns is carried out, furthermore, the analysis results and the corresponding experiment results are compared. The results indicate that the calculated value of ultimate bearing capacity is less than the experimental value, and the results of FEM analysis can match the experiment results better, and thus, it can better reflect the earthquake resistance behaviors of the specimens.

The article analysis the seismic behaviors of circular steel tube composite column filled with steel reinforced concrete by the large finite element analysis software ABAQUS, adopted the load-displacement method and aimed at studying the mechanical properties of circular steel tube composite columns filled with steel reinforced concrete under horizontal low-cyclic loading, considering the degree of ductility, capacity of energy dissipation by the steel ratio and axial compression ratio. Under different axial compression ratios and steel ratios, the hysteresis curves and skeleton curves are carried out. Along with the increase of steel ratio, the deformation ability and ultimate bearing capacity are raised, but with the increase of axial compression ratio, the deformation ability becomes worse.
