CCD aerial camera is one of the important means of obtaining the image information on the ground, it is through the collection, archiving, and reading to achieved the images acquisition. As the very large amounts of data of the images, it takes a lot of time far more than analysis and processing when archiving and reading, so that not only difficult achieve real-time detection and processing, but also causing a waste of storage space. Therefore, the research of image compression and other processing technology has become important particularly.This paper use the wavelet coding to get images compression for the problem, and design the image processing system of aerial camera manipulator. This system designed by embedded modular, and ARINC 429 bus to achieve communications between the camera and the aircraft systems, make compression to the images which captured by the camera, and deal with the compressed image as stored, local zoom in and out, etc.

With the widespread using of coins, in order to solve the troubles brought by counterfeit money, it is of great significance to develop a system for real-time identification of coins. In the analysis of image processing technology, the hardware and software in this field, this paper has verified the recognition algorithm in the MATLAB and VC, and it had set up an coin image processing system with the DSP chip as a platform. In this system not only the surface information of the coin can be achieved and processed in real time, but also a practical hardware and software basis for the further application of DSP for image processing can be built.

This paper describes an image processing system that calculates real time information from the combustion process itself. The applications of the system on burner and supplemental fuel adjustment, and ignition trend monitoring are also discussed. Finally, new combustion control based on the image information and quantitative model of the furnace is discussed.

This paper presents a new approach to smart sensor system design for real-time remote sensing. A combination of techniques for image analysis and image compression is investigated. The proposed algorithms include: (1) a fractional discrimination function for image analysis, (2) a comparison of effective algorithms for image compression, (3) a pipeline architecture for parallel image classification and compression on-board satellites, and (4) a task control strategy for mapping image computing models to hardware processing elements. The efficiency and accuracy of the proposed techniques are demonstrated throughout system simulation.

Against the problem on poor quality and inefficiency in the preparation of bio tissue micro array by hand, the one processing system of biotissue micro-array was developed. The application of NC image identification technology was made to carry out auto punching, auto-positioning- embedding, and auto-extracting, etc. The auto preparation of biotissue micro array was completed. The adoption of the minimum squares fitting was aimed at object’s primes to be fitted so as to obtain special-feature parameters to finish accurate position and auto rectification of deviation visual view range in micro-hole image. There by, visual deviation operated by hand was avoided and highlighted the processed accuracy.

Aiming at dealing with the problems of traditional inspection robot, such as low accuracy of path identification, an embedded intelligent inspection robot based on image processing is developed. With uCOSs efficient real-time control ability and image processing technology, the robot can follow the line automatically. The experiment showed that the intelligent robot can identify the path accurately and adjust the direction and speed quickly
