Exploration and Practice on Learning Field-Based University Basic Computer Course Reform

Learning field curriculum program is a curriculum model in which thematic unit are designed and organized according to the process of professional task and work, which is a core in curriculum development of modern vocational education in German. This article describes the curriculum reform in learning field and its three basic elements in curriculum model concerned. Moreover, taken Basic Computer course as an example, the paper details the whole process of organization of the learning field curriculum model, such as teaching content designing, teaching and implementing.

School-based curricula are seen as the important strategy to facilitate educational reforms and are spread in many countries, especially in Asia. However, the efficiency of developing and implementing school-based curricula in most schools are very low because the tasks those need to be dealt with are very complex and difficult. How to develop and apply the electronic performance support system (EPSS) to simplify the complexity and to improve the efficiency of school" based curriculum development and implementation becomes the important research and practical issue. In our prior work, a web-based computer-assisted instructional planning system IPASS, was designed to provide a set of tools for individual teachers efficiently designing instructional plans. However, the system was dedicated for the design phase of curriculum development and did not support for all participants in different levels of school-based curriculum development working on curriculum analysis, design, implementation and evaluation. This study designs and develops a novel web-based performance support system SBCDSS, to assist the whole process of school-based curriculum development and implementation. The proposed system has been adopted in an elementary school in Taiwan and has received useful feedback regarding the usability and performance support for SBCD. Evaluation results and possible future work are discussed herein.

Mechanical CAD/CAM technology is an important course for the mechanical design and manufacturing major. Its scope has a wide teaching content and discipline span, and is regarded a comprehensive course with strong theoretical and practical characteristics. Theoretical teaching was emphasized in the past to undervalue software operation. Unpractical teaching content directly resulted in student’s insufficient practice after the course. Thus, teaching reform measures were proposed, such as optimizing teaching contents, implementing modular teaching, introducing skill-based software, and formulating typical work tasks. Combined with theoretical knowledge, students used the software as a tool to accomplish designated tasks and reach corresponding teaching objectives. Taking mouse punch as an example, MasterCAM software was used to introduce the specific mode of task-oriented teaching in CAD/CAM experiments. Results show that students improve their abilities of applying CAD/CAM software after the course’s teaching reform. Practical engineering problems are analyzed thoroughly and orderly. Employment quantity and quality of graduates are significantly improved to gain praises from enterprises and achieve a remarkable teaching effect.

Digital Problem-based education and training is held to overcome the discrepancy of student competition so that the education and training curriculum is in accordance with what problems are faced by STUDENTS so that the ability of EDUCATION PARTICIPANTS is in accordance with what is expected. One of the components in problem-based training is a problem-based curriculum based on the needs of the training participants' problems. In order to meet the demands of the increasingly sophisticated times along with the situation and conditions in society, the development of an education and training curriculum is necessary. Its development continues to adjust to the foundation in curriculum development, namely philosophical, psychological, Sociological and science and technology foundations. The development of problem-based education and training curricula also adjusts to the expected curriculum model according to the problems of students, so that the curriculum can produce education and training graduates with the desired abilities. The development of a problem-based education and training curriculum in the end is expected to be able to build professionalism and student problems in responding to challenges in the future. Thus the training will produce graduates, in this case STUDENTS who are professional and competent.

Traditional teaching by making a small 3 d software works to master basic software usage, the project development process is not involved in,through this research based on the combination of learning with working,establish CHINT electric carton packaging,allow students to access to the whole process of an actual project development.Through project-driven,students participate in the design process.The classroom teaching with the organic combination of project development,play an important role in promoting students’ team work、division of the project and a comprehensive grasp of technology,at the same time it has practical significance in the curriculum reform and CHINT electric carton packaging show.

The functional or community adaptation approach to curriculum development for the severely handicapped is described using the curriculum characteristics (1) philosophy and research support, (2) content and sequence, and (3) individualization. This curriculum model is further clarified through a wheel design, a complete curriculum example, and guidelines for I.E.P. development.
