At present, the demand for high-tech practical talents in China is increasing. It is particularly important to concoct a teaching model, which adapts to the national new engineering construction strategy based on the current situation of college computer learning and teaching, for computer courses. In view of the existing problems in the teaching of computer courses, there is a transformation from process-oriented to result-oriented in this study, combining online information teaching and offline classroom teaching as well as proposing a hybrid teaching model based on the OBE concept. This article assumes the public basic computer course for engineering majors as an example to explain and summarize the hybrid teaching model based on the OBE concept from the whole teaching process.

This research is motivated by the reality in the field which shows that adult learning that must prioritize the characteristics of the assumption of adult learning is a program carried out by computer course instructors at the Kurnia Computer Training Course Institute (LKP). In the course of the course, learning is usually directed at adults at the Kurnia Computer Training Course Institute (LKP) which is categorized as quite applied. This can be seen from the learning provided by the instructor to adults well and the supporting facilities and infrastructure. The purpose of this study was to find out (1) a description of the application of the assumptions of adult learning experiences in the implementation of computer courses by instructors (2) an overview of the application of the assumptions of adult self-concept in the implementation of computer courses (3) an overview of the application of the assumption of adult learning readiness in the implementation of computer courses by instructor. This type of research is descriptive research which was carried out at the Kurnia Computer Pesisir Selatan Training Course Institute (LKP). The approach used in this research is quantitative. The population of the study was the participants of the computer course of the Kurnia training course institution (LKP) which amounted to 15 people. The sample amounted to 15 people using saturated sampling technique for sampling, meaning that the sample was taken as a whole, namely 100%. Techniques in data collection using written statements (questionnaires) and data collection tools in the form of a list of statements. The data analysis technique uses the percentage formula. The results of this study indicate that: (1) The description of the application of adult learning assumptions by computer course instructors at the Pesisir Selatan computer course and training institute (LKP) seen from the sub-variables of experience is categorized as quite applied. (2) The description of the application of adult learning assumptions by computer course instructors at the Kurnia Pesisir Selatan computer course and training institution (LKP) seen from the sub-variables of self-concept is categorized as quite applied. (3) The description of the application of adult learning assumptions by computer course instructors at the Kurnia Pesisir Selatan computer course and training institution (LKP) seen from the sub-variables of learning readiness is categorized as quite applied. It is suggested to other researchers to develop this research with different variables so that it can deepen the study of the assumptions of adult learning.

Developments The world is currently faced with the phenomenon of digital disruption, which is a situation indicated by the movement of the industrial world or job competition that is no longer linear. In the field of courses, currently there has also been an online course service that can be accessed via the web/page. One is a Learning Management Systems (LMS) based course that allows instructors and/or students to share material, submit and return assignments, and communicate online. The research method used is research and development using the product development concept from ADDIE which consists of 5 stages, namely (1) analysis, (2) design, (3) development, (4) implementation, and (5) evaluation. The results of research and development of a Learning Management System (LMS)-based computer course model that has been tested on PAUD teachers and education staff show that the practicality of this model is very well implemented by instructors and can be applied by course organizers. The results of the course learning in the trial can improve the skills of PAUD teachers and education personnel in the office application computer course program.

The purpose of the present study was to examine areas of interest and information seeking patterns of Israeli 12th graders who engaged in research work for their final research paper, an optional partial requirement for obtaining an official matriculation diploma. A detailed questionnaire, based on former studies was disseminated in high schools all over the country, yielding 200 usable questionnaires. Main findings: topping the list of chosen topics were the humanities (44%), followed by the sciences (33%), and the social sciences (24%). Considerable differences were found between girls and boys. Girls preferred topics from the social sciences (mainly sociology) and from the humanities (except history) while boys preferred scientific topics. Most respondents had a computer at home (93%) which was usually connected to the Internet (78%) and they had taken some computer course in the past (70%) although a considerable proportion, more girls than boys, did not make use of them. Gender was found to be significantly associated with the chosen field. Taking a computer course and use of home Internet were found to be associated with searching the Internet in the process of information seeking while working on the final paper. A home computer connected to the Internet was associated with the use of formal and informal information sources. The school library was the most-visited one followed by academic, public and home libraries. However, a considerable proportion of the respondents reported no or few visits only. Most respondents reported receiving only little or no advice and guidance regarding the library and database searching. When guidance was provided, it usually consisted of a single-session on a personal basis. Guidance given by a teacher was frequently face to face, with the student more likely to use an OPAC, while when given by a university teacher it was usually in front of a computer, followed by lesser use of OPACs. In summation, although most students were aware of powerful new IT tools, their use is not as prevalent as may be assumed, mainly due to poor or inadequate guidance.
