The application of virtual instrument technology to design solar irradiance acquisition system, an ideal combination of software and hardware, is aimed at collecting, storing and analyzing data of external temperature and solar irradiance.The data proves helpful in assessing whether the solar energy resource deserves to be developded economically.The system is reliable and has been verified by simulation software proteus.

Near earth surface can be seen as viscoelastic medium. It’s important to collect VSP seismic signal in near-surface.This paper proposed plan designed for VSP seismic data acquisition system based on virtual instrument technology. This design applied the characteristic that the virtual instrument technology has strong capability in single processing and more abundant, distinct expression to VSP acquisition system. This design makes the acquisition system simple, expand easily. And it provides a practical and useful testing tool to logging exploration of near surface project.

Engine running plays very important roles in a turbo-shaft engine production and maintenance. Traditional computer aided testing is just work as a data acquisition system to measure parameters and control some devices. In this paper, a CAT system is realized based on VXI and virtual instrument technology, which also communicate with the PLC, the ECU and the dynamometer, to provide a centralized information system for a turbo-shaft engine running. Multi-functions are realized to assistant users before, during and after experiments.

Ethernet based on TCP/IP is a standard open network, which promotes the development of data acquisition in the direction of network. Data acquisition and processing systems connected by Ethernet make the data acquisition terminals (lower computer) and processing control center (upper computer) from integrated to discrete. Separate data acquisition terminals can realize miniaturization and modularization and increase the flexibility of the application. A new type, low cost, high precision data acquisition terminal based on ARM processor was designed for solving the problem of complicated structure, big volume and high cost of traditional data acquisition system. Combined with the technologies of network communication, a data acquisition PC system based on virtual instrument technology was designed by LabVIEW.

Design of a monitoring system based on virtual instrument technology for a simple bridge. This paper discusses the bridge monitoring system structure, software and hardware. The system can realize functions such as data acquisition, real-time data display, online analysis, offline analysis, data management and so on. Therefore, the monitoring system can be applied to a variety of bridges. The presented monitoring system has an important guidance meaning and practical value for bridge monitoring.

This paper centers on the design and installation of a robust photovoltaic (PV)-based microgrid data acquisition system (DAS) that can monitor different PV systems simultaneously. The PV-based microgrid consists of three solar systems: off-grid, hybrid and grid-assisted systems, each with 3.8 kWp located at SolarWatt park, Fort Hare Institute of Technology (FHIT), South Africa. The designed DAS is achieved by assembling and connecting a set of sensors to measure and log electrical and meteorological parameters from each of the three power plants. Meteorological parameters use a CR1000 datalogger while the electrical output parameters use a DT80 data logger. Calibration was done by voltage signal conditioning which helps to reduce errors initiated by analogue signals. The designed DAS mainly assist in assessing the potential of solar energy of the microgrid power plant considering the energy needed in the remote community. Besides, the simultaneous monitoring of the three systems ensures that the outdoor operating conditions are the same while comparing the logged data. A variable day and a week, data were used to verify the reliability of the system. The back of the array temperature was observed to be 42.7 °C when solar irradiance was 1246 W/m2. The ambient temperature and relative humidity were obtained at 21.3 °C and 63.3%, respectively. The PV current in all three systems increases with the solar irradiance and is highest around midday. The results obtained show that the designed DAS is of great interest in PV system developments.

An efficient data acquisition system for electronic automatic transmission test, which makes use of American NI’s data acquisition card, is designed based on Virtual Instrument. The data can be collected by the data acquisition system include automatic transmission oil pressure, solenoid duty, as well as engine speed ,turbine speed ,output shaft speed and throttle degree,and so on. The key problems of the system design are measurement method of automatic transmission solenoid duty, signal conditioning circuit design and multi-signal acquisition synchronization. Test platform is North-Benz dump truck 2627K (Its power-train assembly is replaced), of which transmission and engine use respectively HD4070PR electronic automatic transmission and BF6M1015CP electronic diesel engine. The automatic transmission shift control strategy and oil pressure characteristics of clutch or brake etc can be analyzed through test data acquisition.

Based on the analysis of the testing automatic transmission (AT), the AT’s solenoid valve control signals conditioning circuits and revolving speed F/V converter conditioning circuits are designed, and the data acquisition system is designed based on virtual instrument. The system is composed of the PCI-6024E data acquisition card, signal conditioning circuits and computer, and the acquisition procedure is programmed in graphical language LabVIEW. Finally, the data acquisition system has been verified on vehicle test bench which loads ZF-Ecomat 6HP500 AT. Controlling signals of switching solenoid valves, duty cycle signal of proportional solenoid valve, accelerator aperture signal, oil pressure signals and speed signals are collected, it turns out that the data acquisition system has good feasibility.

The paper introduces the status of rolling bearing life testing machine in China first. Then, the paper mainly focuses on the design of vibration signal data acquisition system for rolling bearing life testing machine. The system is developed for a rolling bearing manufacturer based on Labview with perfect functions according to the requirement of the customer. The rolling bearing manufacturer can set up different measurement time and time interval for data record to carry out test according to the requirement of its customers. The developed vibration signal acquisition system is not subject to testing machine, which can run only that the sensors are installed on the measurement locations of testing machine. The developed system can be used for different rolling bearing life testing machine, so it has good application perspective in future.
