Non linear resonance usually resonates in network which is consisting of ferromagneticcore. When distributed capacitance calculated form circuit breaker; mainly circuit breaker and cablecapacitance; after switching and opening the network feed apparatus, magnetization current on ferromagnetic core jump to saturation. Duration of ferroresonance is deeply relying on capacitance, and itwill be decaying by disembarking total store energy. Although, ferroresonance commence by switching circuit breaker off; protecting relay and other protecting schemes have no reaction, because thelast protection step for saving a device is a circuit breaker. There is no reported method to mitigatedisruptive phenomenon; which elder publication focus on the explosion of capacitive transformer, melting of power transformer core lamination and arresters problem. This work is tried to dampingferroresonance and reducing devastation effect on the apparatus. While, protecting devices is useless, fault point topology mutating by FACTS to control and decrease this phenomenon. FACTS deviceis settled at the upstream of apparatus to improve power quality, is switched on at initiating momentresonating. Modeling and simulating of ferroresonance are done by the actual value of transformerand other power system related devices extracted by UTM-TNB.

Optical Current Transformers (OCTs) and Optical Voltage Transformers (OVTs) are an alternative to the conventional transformers for protection and metering purposes with a much smaller footprint and weight. Their advantages were widely discussed in scientific and technical literature and commercial applications based on the well-known Faraday and Pockels effect. However, the literature is still scarce in studies evaluating the use of optical transformers for power quality purposes, an important issue of power system designed to analyze the various phenomena that cause power quality disturbances. In this paper, we constructed a temperature-independent prototype of an optical voltage transformer based on fiber Bragg grating (FBG) and piezoelectric ceramics (PZT), adequate to be used in field surveys at 13.8 kV distribution lines. The OVT was tested under several disturbances defined in IEEE standards that can occur in the electrical power system, especially short-duration voltage variations such as SAG, SWELL, and INTERRUPTION. The results demonstrated that the proposed OVT presents a dynamic response capable of satisfactorily measuring such disturbances and that it can be used as a power quality monitor for a 13.8 kV distribution system. Test on the proposed system concluded that it was capable to reproduce up to the 41st harmonic without significative distortion and impulsive surges up to 2.5 kHz. As an advantage, when compared with conventional systems to monitor power quality, the prototype can be remote-monitored, and therefore, be installed at strategic locations on distribution lines to be monitored kilometers away, without the need to be electrically powered.

In this paper, performance analysis of power system network is carried out by injecting the inter-turn fault at the power transformer. The injection of inter-turn fault generates the inrush current in the network. The power system network consists of transformer, current transformer, potential transformer, circuit breaker, isolator, resistance, inductance, loads, and generating source. The fault detection and termination related to inrush current has some drawbacks and limitations such as slow convergence rate, less stability and more distortion with the existing methods. These drawbacks motivate the researchers to overcome the drawbacks with new proposed methods using wavelet transformation with sample data control and fuzzy logic controller. The wavelet transformation is used to diagnose the fault type but contribute lesser for fault termination; due to that, sample data of different signals are collected at different frequencies. Further, the analysis of collected sample data is assessed by using Z-transformation and fuzzy logic controller for fault termination. The stability, total harmonic distortion and convergence rate of collected sample data among all three methods (wavelet transformation, Z-transformation and fuzzy logic controller) are compared for fault termination by using linear regression analysis. The complete performance of fault diagnosis along with fault termination has been analyzed on Simulink. It is observed that after fault injection at power transformer, fault recovers faster under fuzzy logic controller in comparison with Z-transformation followed by wavelet transformation due to higher stability, less total harmonic distortion and faster convergence.
