Layered injection commissioning technology has become a key factor to the oil production. For different types of formations, the paper analyzes the absorbent law in different homogeneous formations with different boundary conditions. The paper also creates a composite reservoir model, and then describes changes of absorbent law under coupling effect. The method to do all of the above work is to solve the equation of dimensionless bottomhole pressure in different formation and boundary conditions.

Oil is an important energy and chemical raw materials and strategic materials. Nowadays, the layered water injection test technology become the key factor of oilfield production. According to different types of formation and for the artificial fracturing injection wells, this paper studied the infinite boundary, uniform flow and vertical cracks well, infinite diversion vertical fractures and conductivity vertical fracture wells’ absorbent law. The method to do all of the above work is to solve the equation of dimensionless bottomhole pressure in different formation and boundary conditions. The indicating curve of infinite uniform flow formation, unlimited conduction and limited conduction vertical fractures wells are almost identical, which means that the type of vertical fracture has little effect on the indicate curves of injection wells.

The influence of boundary conditions on the sound radiation characteristic from rectangular plates is studied in this paper. Using an analytical method, the transverse displacement response of vibrating rectangular plates is presented. Some numerical experiments are also done. Five different types of boundary conditions are analyzed and calculated as examples for comparing the influence of different boundary conditions. Rectangular plates under different force points and different thicknesses are also studied for further verifying the influence of boundary conditions.

The article traces the use of flowmeters in the production and processing of crude oil and its refined products. Emphasis is placed on meters used for accounting purposes and wherever possible, the significance of measurement uncertainty at the various stages of oil production is expressed in financial terms. The article concludes that improved measurement accuracy is more likely to be achieved from improved calibration and operating procedures than from the use of different types of flowmeters.

Abstract Nature and technology often adopt structures that can be described as tubular helical assemblies. However, the role and mechanisms of these structures remain elusive. In this paper, we study the mechanical response under compression and extension of a tubular assembly composed of 8 helical Kirchhoff rods, arranged in pairs with opposite chirality and connected by pin joints, both analytically and numerically. We first focus on compression and find that, whereas a single helical rod would buckle, the rods of the assembly deform coherently as stable helical shapes wound around a common axis. Moreover, we investigate the response of the assembly under different boundary conditions, highlighting the emergence of a central region where rods remain circular helices. Secondly, we study the effects of different hypotheses on the elastic properties of rods, i.e., stress-free rods when straight versus when circular helices, Kirchhoff’s rod model versus Sadowsky’s ribbon model. Summing up, our findings highlight the key role of mutual interactions in generating a stable ensemble response that preserves the helical shape of the individual rods, as well as some interesting features, and they shed some light on the reasons why helical shapes in tubular assemblies are so common and persistent in nature and technology. Graphic Abstract We study the mechanical response under compression/extension of an assembly composed of 8 helical rods, pin-jointed and arranged in pairs with opposite chirality. In compression we find that, whereas a single rod buckles (a), the rods of the assembly deform as stable helical shapes (b). We investigate the effect of different boundary conditions and elastic properties on the mechanical response, and find that the deformed geometries exhibit a common central region where rods remain circular helices. Our findings highlight the key role of mutual interactions in the ensemble response and shed some light on the reasons why tubular helical assemblies are so common and persistent.

Supply chain coordination models are developed in a two-echelon supply chain with double sided disruptions. In a supply chain system, the supplier may suffer from the product cost disruption and the retailer suffers from the demand disruption simultaneously. The purpose of this study is to design proper supply chain contracts, under which the supply chain with double sided disruption can be coordinated. Firstly, the centralized decision-making models are applied to find the optimal price and quantity under three cases as the baseline. The different cases are divided by the different relationship between the product cost disruption and the demand disruption. Secondly, two different types of contracts are introduced to coordinate the whole supply chain. One is all-unit wholesale quantity discount policy (AQDP) contract, and the other one is capacitated linear pricing policy (CLPP) contract. And it is found out that the gap between the demand disruption and the product cost disruption is the key factor to influence the supply chain coordination. Some numerical examples and sensitivity analysis are given to illustrate the models. The AQDP contracts are listed out under different cases to show how to use it under double sided disruptions.
