In order to make the different angles of the viewers get the best visual effects, the paper proposed a lift tilt rotary landscape showcase which can show all kinds with multi-degree of freedom. Showcase uses the electric motor to drive and PLC applications in the system which can be programmed to control various types of mechanical components, to achieve the function of lifting and descending of 4 position, 8 position, and 12 position, horizontal lift and rotating in 360-degree. The test and operation results demonstrate that the showcase meets the specific functional demand of design.

This paper presents comprehensive test measurements for gas journal bearings with damping structures of a bump foil layer and/or a polymer layer. A one-pad top foil forms the bearing surface, under which the bearing structure and a bearing housing are located. Test bearings include gas foil bearings (GFBs), gas polymer bearings (GPBs), and gas foil-polymer bearings (GFPBs). In addition, three metal shims were employed to create wedge effects in the GFPBs. First, static load-deflection tests of test bearings estimate the radial assembly clearance. Second, shake dynamic loading tests identify frequency-dependent dynamic characteristics. An electromagnetic shaker provides flat bearing specimens with one degree-of-freedom (1DOF) vertical dynamic loading. GFPB was measured to exhibit a higher structural damping and lower stiffness than GFB. Lastly, the electric motor driving tests examine the rotordynamic stability performance. A permanent magnet (PM) synchronous motor drives a PM rotor supported on a pair of test journal bearings. As a result, the GFPBs with mechanical preloads enhanced the rotordynamic performance with no subsynchronous motions up to the maximum rotor speed of 88 krpm, and the bearing friction characteristics as well. Furthermore, they showed comparable rotordynamic performance to three-pad GFBs from a past literature, even with larger bearing clearances and small mechanical preloads.

PLC control is basically a computer designed to replace a relay-based system. SMK Negeri 3 Sorong as one of the Vocational High Schools in Sorong-West Papua has an Electricity Engineering Expertise Program that studies PLC mastery competencies, but from observations made by researchers at SMK Negeri 3 Sorong it turns out that it does not have adequate practice modules in the subject of applying PLC to control of industrial electric motors and there are also difficulties for teachers in these schools in providing learning competency in electric motor control techniques, especially in terms of application or practice. The implementation of the module that will be designed and applied is a learning medium that will help the process of practicing skills in electric motor control engineering competencies automatically using the PLC Omron CP1E module. This module is designed to pay attention to several important things as follows: (1). Practice module in accordance with existing competency standards, (2). Easy to use, and (3). Helps the level of understanding of teachers and students in applying it. This practical module is also used to study the working principle parts of the up / down motor control system with the addition of a simulation module of the lift motor work system using a limit switch that detects the presence of the lift box. At the PLC output, a motor power window and lift indicator are used which indicate the lift box is automatically running.

Water supply is a crucial for human lives, not only for daily activities but also for secondary purposes such as for watering garden, paddy fields etc. There are many efforts of human in fulfilling their water supply needs. Most of water supply is provided by using electric motor pumps which in certain cases might increase the financial cost. In this paper, wind energy is applied to pumping water mechanically whilst it combines with solar panel which works to pump water during less wind speed condition. The micro-controller Arduino-Uno is employed to manage the collaboration operation between wind and solar panel. The design concept and construction are presented and discussed. The operation results exhibit good operation performance and could be developed for the real application.
