How to efficiently select Web services that can best meet the requirements of consumers is an ongoing research direction in Web service community. However, current discovery systems support either WSDL or OWL-S Web services but not both.Through the automatically collected WSDL files and the OWL-S web service related matching mechanism, the idea of transforming various existing web services on the Internet into a service cluster of similar homogeneous , then we can create a service search engine successfully and at the same time the search space can be reduced. By means of providing a mechanism for matching the characteristics properties of relevant web services, we can put them all together into a group which can be found and applied.

Tourism information are scattered around in the Internet and are provided in many websites. To search for a particular information, for example, as a hotel information, the users need to look through the search engine and browse to many related sites to find the best possible hotels according to the requirements. In this paper, we address the use of Web service compositionThe method to combine Web service calls to integrate results from many Web services. The QoS can be used to determine the selected services and query results. Considered services include hotel service, airline service, traveling service, etc. The experiences in the service integration are discussed.

Web services are emerging as a major technology for building service-oriented distributed systems. Potentially, various resources on the Internet can be virtualized as Web services for a wider use by their communities. Service discovery becomes an issue of vital importance for Web services applications. This article presents ROSSE, a Rough Sets based Search Engine for Web service discovery. One salient feature of ROSSE lies in its capability to deal with uncertainty of service properties when matching services. A use case is presented to demonstrate the use of ROSSE for discovery of car services. ROSSE is evaluated in terms of its accuracy and efficiency in service discovery.

In recent years, the number and size of Web services on the Internet have a rapid development. Industry and academia start to study the web service. In Internet resources, if the web cannot be found, the web service will become meaningless. So for web services, large-scale managements and problems are the keys of the study of Internet service resources. This paper studies large-scale distributed web services in network resources based on SOA architecture ideas. It also designs the unified management and organization system of ideological and political education which treat the ideological and political education as the content. It proposes SN network resource service model of ideological and political education. With the development and popularization of the Internet today, the study on Internet resources of ideological and political education in this paper provides a theoretical reference for the innovation of the ideological and political education.

Purpose The success of web services involved the adoption of this technology by different service providers through the web, which increased the number of web services, as a result making their discovery a tedious task. The UDDI standard has been proposed for web service publication and discovery. However, it lacks sufficient semantic description in the content of web services, which makes it difficult to find and compose suitable web services during the analysis, search, and matching processes. In addition, few works on semantic web services discovery take into account the user’s profile. The purpose of this paper is to optimize the web services discovery by reducing the search space and increasing the number of relevant services. Design/methodology/approach The authors propose a new approach for the semantic web services discovery based on the mobile agent, user profile and metadata catalog. In the approach, each user can be described by a profile which is represented in two dimensions: personal dimension and preferences dimension. The description of web service is based on two levels: metadata catalog and WSDL. Findings First, the semantic web services discovery reduces the number of relevant services through the application of matching algorithm “semantic match”. The result of this first matching restricts the search space at the level of UDDI registry, which allows the users to have good results for the “functional match”. Second, the use of mobile agents as a communication entity reduces the traffic on the network and the quantity of exchanged information. Finally, the integration of user profile in the service discovery process facilitates the expression of the user needs and makes intelligible the selected service. Originality/value To the best knowledge of the authors, this is the first attempt at implementing the mobile agent technology with the semantic web service technology.

Web services are programs which perform some elementary business process of an application and are distributed over the Internet. These services are described, discovered and executed using standard languages WSDL, SOAP and UDDI. Proliferation of web services has resulted in intense competition between providers, which provide the same service. To survive in such a competitive environment, they need to advertise the quality of their service. Web service description language does not provide support to describe quality attributes. Recently, DAmbrogio proposed QOS model of web services based on a meta model of WSDL. In this paper, we present a platform to advertise QOS as declared by the service provider. This tool generates a WSDL file from Java code along with its quality of service attributes. It accepts Java code and a file containing quality attributes. These attributes include reliability, availability, and operation demand and operation latency. These attributes are included in WSDL file as a content of description element.

This thesis proposes a single and scalable web-based model for grid resource discovery for the Internet. The proposed resource discovery model contains the metadata and resource finder web services. The information of resource finder web services is kept in the repositories that are distributed in the application layer of [sic] Internet. The resource finder web services will be discovered by sending queries to the repositories in a similar way as the DNS protocol. The underlying technology for implementation of the two architectures of this model is introduced.

With the large number of web services now available via the internet, web service discovery has become a challenging and time-consuming task. Organizing web services into similar clusters is a very efficient approach to reducing the search space. A principal issue for clustering is computing the semantic similarity between services. Current approaches do not consider the domain-specific context in measuring similarity and this has affected their clustering performance. This paper proposes a context-aware similarity (CAS) method that learns domain context by machine learning to produce models of context for terms retrieved from the web. To analyze visually the effect of domain context on the clustering results, the clustering approach applies a spherical associated-keyword-space algorithm. The CAS method analyzes the hidden semantics of services within a particular domain, and the awareness of service context helps to find cluster tensors that characterize the cluster elements. Experimental results show that the clustering approach works efficiently.

Web services introduced the means for integrating and sharing business processes via the Internet. WSRP’s (WSRP specification version 1, 2003) goal is to extend the integration further by providing a framework for sharing Web service presentation components. WSRP specification formulated a standard protocol, which enables all content and application providers to create Web services, generate their presentation faces as HTML fragments, and offer them to the consumers to be plugged into their local portals.

The need for the utilization of information via the internet , making the flow of information exchange through the Internet increased rapidly . This makes the need for very high bandwidth availability . The development of the software could not be separated from the need for it . In large-scale distributed computing environments , which are sought bandwidth utilization as efficient as possible , because the availability of Internet infrastructure does not run as fast as the need for information exchange space.Web services allow two applications to communicate with each other despite the different application platforms . By using Web services , the Java platform applications can communicate with a PHP application platform . In designing applications based on android Zoopedia will utilize web services to access data in a web -based server . That way when there is an update the data in the application server zoopedia will also update the data. With the implementation of web service technology in mobile applications integrated with web applications , is expected to provide application Zoopedia effectiveness and efficiency in the distribution of data , can be developed by many people who want to develop applications by using data that has been provided by the web service . With the restrictions on data sharing web service is expected to reduce the possibility of destruction of data by parties that are not desirable.
