Design of a Remote, Real-Time Elevator Monitoring System Based on the µc/os-II Operating System
Use of µc/os-II based real-time, multi-task operating system accomplished synchronized task management and communication. An operational simulation interface for real-time monitoring of elevator was designed by hybrid programming using C and assembly languages based on data collected real time in the shared resource taken by visiting of semaphores and message boxes with shared resource in the buffer zone. In the control room, PC monitor displays elevator’s moving direction, position, condition, and any malfunction situations. It was demonstrated that the µc/os-II real-time operating system-based elevator monitoring system could not only be used under DOS window for Windows but can also be easily transferred to micro processor modules with different structures.
