The disunion of communication protocol standards at present creates a huge barrier against the interconnection and interoperability of heterogeneous devices in home. To solve this problem, a method of multiple protocols conversion of home gateway was proposed to integrate a variety of heterogeneous protocol networks. Firstly, a new task description language based on ClassAD was designed to describe different heterogeneous devices for communicating each other in home networks. And a plug-in expansion mechanism was introduced to improve the scalability of heterogeneous protocols and the throughput of home networks system. As a result, the ability of semantic interoperability of heterogeneous devices is achieved to integrate new applications and drivers into the deployed intelligent home system during runtime based on the proposed home gateway.

Firstly, this paper analyzes the significance and demand of intelligent power. Then a solution of home intelligent power system based on ZigBee is proposed. Hardware components of the solution proposed in this work mainly consists of AT91SAM9G20 as the core of the home gateway controller, CC430F6137 as the core of the network node of intelligent power and construction of intelligent home network system. This paper mainly introduces a new type of home intelligent power consumption network node, which realizes the measurement of electric power parameter, monitoring, overload protection and timing control, the communication between home gateway and network node through ZigBee protocol, the intelligent household electricity. By testing and using, it can meet the aspects of everyday life needs of user in convenient life, intelligent life and energy-saving, etc. It brings great commercial return and technical value to the development and application of intelligent home in future, as well as far-reaching impact to improving the quality of intelligent home services.

Smart homes are one of the Internet of Things (IoT) applications most significant to enable people to operate intelligent devices on the Internet in their homes. However, when users can access an intelligent home system remotely, they have major privacy and confidentiality difficulties to overcome. Nothing has been done to improve the safety characteristics of an intelligent home with current research on authentication approaches. For example, to address these issues and to develop a reciprocal tracking authentication system with a critical aspect of a deal, we recommend an Internet based Smart Home System (IFTTT) model. As a controller and a safety guard, an IFTTT-Home Gateway provides a user with remote access to a Smart Home System within their company. The system is designed for mutual authentication with security features such as anonymity and full advance security by using Elliptical Curve Encryption, Nonces, XOR or cryptographic Hash functions. We also incorporate multi factor authentication (MFA) into the model to ensure more security and preventing privacy leakage.

This article designed an embedded intelligent home gateway for the internet of things, proposed a unified management of all kinds of intelligent household appliances, and realized the scheme for the user easily to operate and control them remotely.
