The paper introduces an alternative method for damage pricing on buildings in consequence of defects, failures and collapses. The method operates with time-independent price of the structure and following damage on the construction. Using risk analysis methods, the price is reduced depending on technical condition to proper damage and evaluation of the object, building or structure.

The paper introduces an alternative method for damage pricing on buildings in consequence of defects, failures and collapses. This alternative method operates with time-independent price of the structure and follows damage on the construction. By using the risk analysis method the price of construction can be reduced depending on the technical conditions of the structure and the construction assessment can be made with compare of structures health.

The paper reflects the possibility of utilization of methods and proceedings used in risk assessment for area different from nowadays usage. Risk determination is customary for large and significant constructions within the feasibility study. Used procedures and methods can be applied very well in some cases of experts and authorized proceedings, such as setting the sequence of buildings acceptable for reconstruction of objects in defined group, or setting the coefficient for specification of claim amount arisen in the construction in the case of time-independent price.

Risk analysis in the water utility sector is fast becoming explicit. Here, we describe application of a capability model to benchmark the risk analysis maturity of a sub-sample of eight water utilities from the USA, the UK and Australia. Our analysis codifies risk analysis practice and offers practical guidance as to how utilities may more effectively employ their portfolio of risk analysis techniques for optimal, credible, and defensible decision making.

Renovation works to buildings are often not carried out or there are shifts in time, which causes degradation of the building. The article presents an analysis of the consequences of abandoning renovation works. The aim of this article is to present a method of preliminarily planning renovations of a MRUB (Managing Renovation in Un-renovated Buildings). This method of decision-making support is based on the consequences in the case of the omission of renovations. The omission of renovations may lead to a threat to the stability of the building’s structure, threaten the lives of its users, and further damage the building by damaging further elements, or even cause a building disaster. Often, as a result of the abandonment of renovation, usually caused by the lack of the owner, improper manager, or irresponsible owners, these objects are degraded. The consequences of the failure of renovating buildings lead to irreversible processes of destruction. As a result of the research, it was found that it was not only a bad technical condition that was a prerequisite for carrying out the renovation. The consequences of the absence of renovation works, in addition to the technical condition, should be a motivating factor. The problem of the abandonment of renovations is presented using the example of the palace in Drwalewice.

The paper presents the possibilities of using vibroacoustic methods in the study of the technical condition of designed multimedia mobile scenes. In particular, the possibility of implementing modal analysis methods in modelling and diagnostic research process has been presented. The use of virtual methods enables diagnostic tests both at the design stage and at the stage of normal operation, whereas modal methods help to explain the nature of the work of the element under investigation.
