The National Solid Waste Policy emerged as a guideline for an environmental problem that was observed in Brazilian municipalities: the generation of solid waste combined with a prevalence of landfills. These problems largely became evident in metropolitan regions, which were characterized, among other aspects, by population concentration. Federal Law No. 12,305/2010 explicitly highlighted the issue of metropolitan management. The proposed study aimed to investigate the challenges for achieving the shared management of solid waste in the Metropolitan Region of Natal (RMN). To this end, documentary research and the systematization of secondary databases were undertaken, which enabled diagnostic research into the management of solid waste in the fifteen municipalities that make up the RMN. The study has revealed the difficulties in forming agreements between the municipal entities in the studied spatial profile, thereby influencing the outreach of an integrated management program in the RMN.

Formulation of the problem. The article is devoted to the possibility of conducting centralized or regional accounting of professional development of educators, recognition of learning outcomes of various subjects of professional development. The review and analysis of the structure of the information system of accounting for professional development of educators in formal and non-formal education is made, its structural components are characterized. The purpose of its use is determined. An ER model of such a system has been designed. The system of data access and the level of its distribution are determined. Materials and methods. To achieve this goal, the following research methods were used: theoretical - analysis of legal documents relating to the system of teacher training; generalization of best practices in business documentation, accounting for issued certificates; analysis and systematization of functional responsibilities in educational institutions; diagnostic - research of structure of a database of the account of documents on passing of advanced training for the purpose of necessary structure; analysis of the activities of persons keeping records. Results. The proposed structure of the information system of accounting for professional development of educators in formal and non-formal education provides for the need to preserve information about the educator, the subject of professional development, acquired competencies and documents received. The structure of each entity is proposed, the indices and the relationship between the components are defined. The information system needs to define users and access rights. Access to the table with information on professional development of educators should be open. This is necessary so that stakeholders and other educators can see how a teacher is involved in professional development. Data entry is provided through authenticated authorized access of the employee responsible for advanced training (internship) and certification. This person has the necessary data about educators, enters this information into the database. Conclusions. The functioning of such a regional or all-Ukrainian information system for accounting for professional development of educators in formal and non-formal education will address a number of issues arising in the certification and certification of educators.

Abstract In recent years cyclostationary analysis of vibration signals is considered to be one of the most potent approaches for diagnostics of machines with rotating components. However, it is a subject of an extensive research towards extending its robustness due to its significant inefficiency in the presence of non-cyclic impulsive components in measured data. This problem is especially visible in datasets measured on machines such as ore crushers, where the high-energy impacts are a natural phenomenon. Unfortunately, due to practical inaccessibility, real-life datasets necessary to properly study this problem are extremely difficult to obtain. To address this issue, the authors propose an easy to use simulator of impulsive components. It covers both cyclic components that can describe various types of fault signatures, and non-cyclic ones that can represent impacts occurring naturally due to the nature of machine operation. Simulated signals have been compared with real ones to ensure a high similarity degree, which in turn guarantees a relatively high level of realism.

This paper reports the diagnostic research of deteriorated paint layers from three mural panels made by Almada Negreiros found in the Alcântara Maritime Station in Lisbon. The aim was to understand the main decay phenomena to aid future conservation works. The methodology comprised in-situ analyses by technical photography in Vis, Vis-RaK and UVF, p-OM and h-EDXRF; micro sampling; OM, SEM-EDS, μ-XRD, μ-Raman, µ-FT-IR and Py-GC/MS. Preliminary results show that all the paint layers analyzed are affected by salts (alkali sulphates) that over time have caused flacking, lack of cohesion, erosion, and lacunae. The light greenish/greenish bluish paint layers in all three panels are the most affected. No organic binders were identified, only the presence of vinyl polymer in glossy paint surfaces.

The article discusses a specific area of handwriting expertise – research of the completed short notes with deliberately changed handwriting. The author emphasizes that the expertise of these objects due to their small volume is a highly complex identification problem. The article pays special attention to short notes made in the Armenian language, highlighting and describing their specific features such as the degree of compression, slowing down the pace of movement with an unreasonable stop of the writing instrument, presence of blunt initial and final strokes. The slant is an essential factor in expert research of the short notes performed with the deliberate change of writing. Also, the change in the tempo leads to a sharp simplification of letter structures and incomplete execution of letter elements; simultaneously, complications of individual letters or their elements can be observed. The author analyzes all these statements in-depths using specific examples.

Issues that are increasingly arising in criminal proceedings are highlighted, namely: use of data obtained as a result of diagnostic researches on video, sound recordings that  allows to ensure a higher level of completeness, objectivity and comprehensiveness of research. The purpose of the article is to analyze the possibilities of forensic diagnostic researches on video and sound recordings of both oral speech and the sound environment of an offense event. Various modern possibilities of researches on video and sound recordings are considered. Attention is paid both to the specifics of diagnostic speech researches in order to obtain information about personality of the unknown speaker and to information that can be obtained through research and diagnosis of non-speech information. Analyzed the possibilities (within the framework of the examination of video, sound recording) diagnostic researches on directly speech information, including the definition of:  oral speech form, nature of  relations between the interlocutors, conversation meaning (definition of the meaningful situation: consent vs disagreement; permission vs prohibition; understanding vs misunderstanding; request; advice; promise; assurance; gratitude; threat; clarification; order; question; message, etc.), rate of speech and the emotional state of the interlocutors, as well as expert diagnostics of biological parameters of the speakers. Possibilities of diagnostic studies of technical studies of recording media and recording equipment, that can contain information about the technology of obtaining/fixing/saving video, sound recordings, properties and features of the media itself are considered. Non-speech sounds are classified according to their belonging to certain sources. The article highlights effectiveness of using the forensic information obtained through forensic examination in practice of investigating crimes.

Finland has the highest incidence of hantavirus infections globally, with a significant impact on public health. The large coverage of boreal forests and the cyclic dynamics of the dominant forest rodent species, the bank vole Myodes glareolus, explain most of this. We review the relationships between Puumala hantavirus (PUUV), its host rodent, and the hantavirus disease, nephropathia epidemica (NE), in Finland. We describe the history of NE and its diagnostic research in Finland, the seasonal and multiannual cyclic dynamics of PUUV in bank voles impacting human epidemiology, and we compare our northern epidemiological patterns with those in temperate Europe. The long survival of PUUV outside the host and the life-long shedding of PUUV by the bank voles are highlighted. In humans, the infection has unique features in pathobiology but rarely long-term consequences. NE is affected by specific host genetics and risk behavior (smoking), and certain biomarkers can predict the outcome. Unlike many other hantaviruses, PUUV causes a relatively mild disease and is rarely fatal. Reinfections do not exist. Antiviral therapy is complicated by the fact that when symptoms appear, the patient already has a generalized infection. Blocking vascular leakage measures counteracting pathobiology, offer a real therapeutic approach.

In this review, we briefly discuss proteogenomics, the integration of proteomics with genomics and transcriptomics, whereby the underlying technologies are next-generation sequencing (NGS) and mass spectrometry (MS) with processing the resulting data, an emerging field that promises to accelerate fundamental research related to transcription and translation, as well as its applicability. By combining genomic and proteomic information, scientists are achieving new results due to a more complete and unified understanding of complex molecular biological processes. Part of this review introduces some of the results of using proteogenomics in solving problems such as annotation, gene/genome re-annotation, including editing of open reading frames (ORFs), or improving a process to detect new genes in a number of different organisms, including humans. In particular, the paper also discusses the potential of proteogenomics through research achievements on human genome/proteome in precision medicine, especially in projects on phylogenetic and diagnostic research. and cancer treatment. The challenges and future of proteogenomics are also discussed and documented.

Background. Infertility is becoming ever more pressing a problem by year in Russia and worldwide. Tubal-peritoneal infertility is most frequent, with the prevalence of 42.5-80.5% in various estimates. Echohysterosalpingography is considered the today’s “gold standard” in tubal-peritoneal infertility diagnosis in women. This method is known to possess a series of limitations and adverse consequences due to painful sensations during and after check-ups that psychologically afflict women.Objectives. An overview of current methods for inspecting fallopian tubes in reproductively impaired patients to inform promising diagnostic research.Methods. Publications were mined and analysed in the PubMed, eLibrary, Web of Science, Cochrane Library and Cyberleninka electronic databases. The query terms were: echohysterosalpingography [эхогистеросальпингография], echohysterography [эхогистерография], infertility [бесплодие], pregnancy planning [планирование беременности], fallopian patency [проходимость маточных труб], ultrasonic diagnosis [ультразвуковая диагностика], submucous myomatous node [субмукозный миоматозный узел], incompetent uterine scar [несостоятельный рубец на матке], niche [ниша]. The topic selected was female infertility, particularly, the use of echohysterosalpingography in fallopian diagnosis in reproductively impaired women.Results. The review covers 52 sources of the total 118 analysed. Current published evidence and its review identify a notable success of imaging techniques in the fallopian tube diagnosis in women with reproductive problems. The continually developing echohysterosalpingography technique is considered more promising for routine use. Techniques gain more value in analyses of implantation failures. The main challenges in current radiodiagnosis and monitoring of fallopian lesions at a background therapy are the inspection standardisation, disease classification, imaging diagnostic accuracy and prognostic value evaluation in patients with reproductive loss and infertility.Conclusion. The prospective routes of research comprise the definition of optimal check-up terms, echohysterography and echohysterosalpingography diagnostic criteria descriptiveness, improving prognosis in the carrying of pregnancy and treatment efficacy control. A timely and accurate diagnosis of uterus and fallopian tubes is of paramount importance to sustain the women’s reproductive health.
