This paper describes the main contents of the evaluation of technical efficiency of electric power industry at home and abroad, the evaluation methods, and the development of it, and conducts an empirical analysis of the technical efficiency of the Grid in North China for the first time. This paper introduces the DEA to evaluate the technical efficiency of the Grid Corporations, and application of PSO to optimize on the DEA model. From the results of the evaluation of the technical efficiency of Sample Grid Corporation of China, We can conclude that you can better evaluate the technical efficiency of power companies by the combination of two ways, and can make clearer on their own to improve non-efficiency factors, thus conduct a comprehensive monitoring in the technical indicators and management indicators

The paper aims to further explore the current situation of Chinese investment in overseas clean energy and analyze the development of the power industry in the field of clean energy. The paper elaborates the present development status of clean energy based on the Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) model and investment efficiency theories, analyzing the potential risks taken by China’s electric power industry from the investment in overseas clean energy and calculating the power enterprises’ investment efficiency. The results reveal that China’s overseas investment in clean energy has developed rapidly. However, from 2016 to 2017, due to the accelerated investment in clean energy, the comprehensive investment efficiency of clean energy has dropped significantly, to 79.1% and 78.7%, respectively. Subsequently, the comprehensive investment efficiency increased significantly, reaching 80.4% in 2019. Between 2015 and 2019, effective investment in clean energy has reached the highest, 32% in 2015, while there are more ineffective investments in 2016. After 2017, the proportion of power enterprises’ investment in clean energy has increased significantly, accounting for 32% in 2019. In future development, the proportion of investment in this field will continue to rise. Hence, clean energy boasts good development prospects.

Improving the level of public sports services enhances citizens’ physical fitness by implementing the national fitness program. A systematic and scientific efficiency evaluation is a prerequisite for optimizing and improving the level of public sports services in China. Based on data of the Chinese Statistic Yearbook, this study adopted the three-stage data envelopment analysis (DEA) model to measure and analyze the efficiency of public sports services in 31 provinces in China in 2016. To analyze the efficiency of public sports services, technical efficiency was decomposed into pure technical efficiency and scale efficiency. Simultaneously, environmental variables were added to improve accuracy. The results showed that scale efficiency was overestimated, and external technical efficiency was underestimated, before the elimination of external factors and environmental variables. Environmental factors significantly impacted the efficiency of public sports services. Regional gross domestic product (GDP) had a potentially positive impact, while population size partially restricted public sports service efficiency. After eliminating the impact of environmental and random factors, the comprehensive efficiency, pure technical efficiency, and scale efficiency of public sports services all showed improvement in varying degrees. The results provide beneficial insights for the formulation of rational improvement policies for public sports services.

This paper is devoted to the study of general issues of teaching English terminology in the electric power industry during the Coronavirus. The outbreak of the pandemic posed a serious challenge to education systems around the world. For the first time ever, traditional face-to-face training turned out to be impossible. Governments’ decision to make distance education compulsory on all levels in the context of the coronavirus pandemic was unprecedented but needed. The development of the electric power industry affects the state of various industries and the daily life of people around the world. The search for alternative forms of education during the time of the crisis, therefore, became urgent. The aim of our research paper was to create a substantiated, experimentally proven methodology for teaching students terminological vocabulary of the professional language of the electric power industry during Coronavirus. In addition, we identified strategies for mastering professional terminological vocabulary pertaining to reading specialized texts as well as to oral communication in professionally significant communication situations focused on the electric power industry. To achieve this goal, the following tasks needed to be completed: (1) to study linguistic, psychological, psycholinguistic, methodological literature on the problems of teaching terminological vocabulary; (2) to determine the features of the functioning of the lexical skills of operating with professional terms; (3) to determine the lexical features of the terminological vocabulary of the sublanguage “the electric power industry”; (4) to develop based on this typology a technology for teaching students the skills of using terminological vocabulary in the process of oral and written communication; (5) to check the effectiveness of the proposed methodology in the process of experiential learning.

Guangdong Province has taken the lead in embarking on nuclear power development to resolve its dire lack of primary resources. With the deepening of the on-going structural reform in the electric power sector in China, the market competition scheme is putting electricity generation enterprises under severe strain. Consequently, it is incumbent upon the nuclear power producers to steadily upgrade management, enhance technical capabilities, reduce cost and improve efficiency. At present, gradual application of such efficiency evaluation methodology has already commenced in some sectors in China including the electric power industry. The purpose of this paper is to use the Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA), which is a cutting-edge approach in the efficiency evaluation field — to study the technological efficiency between nuclear power and coal power in Guangdong Province. The DEA results demonstrate that, as far as Guangdong Province is concerned, the technological efficiency of nuclear power is higher than that of coal power in terms of Technological Efficiency (TE), Pure Technology Efficiency (PTE) and Scale Efficiency (SE). The reason is that nuclear power technology is advanced with a much higher equipment availability factor. Under the same scale, the generation output of nuclear power is far higher than that of equivalent coal power generation. With the envrionemntal protection and sustainable development requirements taken into full account, nuclear power constitutes a clean, safe and highly-efficient energy form which should be extensively harnessed in Guangdong Province to fuel its future continuing economic growth.

The digital transition in the electric power industry is a promising goal for the development of the industry. In recent years, a wide range of technologies has been introduced into various types of activities of energy companies, including significant attention being paid to technologies that implement demand-side management, transferring consumers from the passive category to active consumers, and also opening up new opportunities in energy management. Non-intrusive load monitoring technology is of significant interest for both electricity suppliers and consumers in the USA and EEC countries, however, a Russian-language study is being carried out for the first time.The purpose of the study is to consider the concept of non-intrusive load monitoring, to formulate and systematize the effects for electric power industry entities and consumers of electricity from the introduction of technology.A review of literary sources is carried out, the most cited articles on this topic are analyzed. To calculate the propagation rate of non-intrusive load monitoring, the Bass innovation diffusion model was used. The model allows to perform an assessment based on data on similar products and has established itself as sufficiently effective for predicting the distribution of durable goods, the actual information for which has not yet been collected.For the first time, a classification of effects arising from the introduction of technology is proposed. The paper obtained a range of effects for households, energy companies, business and government. The calculation of the technology distribution rate showed that without the use of technological corridors and the systematic introduction by energy companies, the peak of adoption can be reached by 8 years from the start of implementation.Non-intrusive load monitoring allows you to get a wide range of data in order to further optimize energy consumption, increase the efficiency of enterprises, monitor the operation of equipment. There are great opportunities in the commercialization of collected data.
