SiO2/TiO2 nano-hybrid particles were successfully prepared by hydrothermal method by using titanium tetrafluoride (TiF4) as the titanium source, silicon dioxide as template. The factors of hydrothermal temperature and hydrothermal time on the morphologies and photocatalytic activity of SiO2/TiO2 nano-spheres were systematically discussed in this paper. The structures and properties of the SiO2/TiO2 nano-hybrid particles were studied by some techniques such as SEM, TEM, XRD and BET analysis. The results indicated that TiO2 prepared by hydrothermal method were anatase crystal, and in the form of polycrystalline. The formation mechanism of SiO2/TiO2 nano-hybrid particles was also discussed.

Nano-compounds of ZrO2/CNTs were prepared by hydrothermal method. The ZrO2/CNTs nano-compounds were characterizated by XRD, TEM, BET and Zeta potentials. The results showed that perfect hydrothermal temperature was 180°C, hydrothermal time was 11h, pH was 9.5. It is showed by the analysis of TEM and Zeta potential, adding surfacant CTBA, the surface of nano-tube and Zr(OH)4colloids take different charge, and they adsorpt each other. And ZrO2particles were successfully coated on the CNTs in surface-active agent of CTBA.

In this study, the spinel-type ZnMn2O4 material was successfully synthesized via hydrothermal method. Several factors influencing the synthesis of material such as Zn/Mn mole ratio, hydrothermal temperature and calcination temperature were studied. The characterization of expected samples using X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR), surface area analysis (BET) was conducted. The XRD results indicated that the highly ordered crystalline form of spinel ZnMn2O4 was synthesized in the conditions: Zn/Mn mole ratio of 1:2, hydrothermal temperature of 120 °C, hydrothermal time of 24 h and calcination temperature of 500 °C.

In this work, Bi2Fe4O9superfine particles were prepared by hydrothermal method and effects of hydrothermal conditions on the microstructure of Bi2Fe4O9, especially the concentration of OH-([OH-]) in initial solutions, were investigated. The results showed that [OH-] had obvious influences on the growth of Bi2Fe4O9under the same hydrothermal temperature and hydrothermal time. Phase structure of Bi2Fe4O9unchanged with the increase of [OH-] and maintained orthorhombic structure. Besides, the microstructure of Bi2Fe4O9was carefully studied through transmission electron microscopy (TEM). The results suggested that the mechanism of Bi2Fe4O9growth was Ostwald ripening. In conclusion, Bi2Fe4O9superfine particles with good morphology and microstructure can be successfully synthesized when the concentration of OH-is 2 mol/L and hydrothermal conditions are 240 °C for 6h.Keywords: Bi2Fe4O9, hydrothermal method, phase structure, growth mechanism Topic code numbers: C2
