The solution to the problem of large industrial cities with a developed metallurgical industry is the creation of environmentally friendly conditions for the life of the population through the disposal of industrial waste. The studies carried out have shown that the developed technology makes it possible to widely use steel-making slags and carbon dioxide emitted into the atmosphere in the production of small-piece wall stones with high operational properties. It is shown that only slag is required to obtain wall material without the use of a hydraulic binder.

The purpose of the study is to study the possibility of using secondary resources of metallurgical production, namely: steel-making slag and carbon dioxide in the production of vibropress products for construction purposes. The tests were carried out with the complete replacement of the coarse aggregate in the concrete mixture with steelmaking slag and varying the hardening processes. The optimal condition for strength gain is hardening in carbon dioxide at an increased pressure of 0,2 MPa.

The article presents the results of experiments on the use of the aquaponics method. Aquatic animals release products toxic to them themselves: nitrogenous, phosphorus, potassium compounds, carbon dioxide. The accumulation of these substances in water is the main problem as in closed industrial aquaculture. The same substances are absolutely necessary in hydroponics and they are added to water to obtain nutrient solutions for plants. Given that environmentally friendly products are increasingly popular and demand for them is constantly growing, there are prospects for introducing this innovation in the southern regions of Russia. Due to an increase in parsley yields in the aquaponic plant by 7.3%, an additional profit was received 4.8 rubles from 1 square meters.

The Paris Agreement, adopted in December of 2015 at the 21st session of the UNFCCC Conference of the Parties and effected from November of 2016, coordinates the efforts of states to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, including carbon dioxide. One of its largest emitters to the atmosphere is the metallurgical industry. Among the proposed ways to reduce carbon dioxide emissions is the widespread use of hydrogen in the ferrous metallurgy. An overview of the problems that the ferrous metallurgy will face when replacing carbon-containing fuels with hydrogen is presented. It was noted that the use of hydrogen in the ferrous metallurgy contains such technological risks as high cost in comparison with currently used fuels and reducing agents; explosion hazard and corrosion activity, the need for a radical reconstruction of thermal units when using hydrogen instead of traditional for the ferrous metallurgy natural, coke and blast furnace gases, as well as solid fuels. It is shown that minimizing these risks is not always possible or economically feasible, and the result of using hydrogen in the ferrous metallurgy instead of carbon-containing fuel from the point of view of reducing greenhouse gas emissions may be low with a significant increase of economic and social risks.

Various options are considered for the processing of large-capacity waste of ethanolamines generated during long-term operation as absorbents in technological processes of carbon dioxide extraction from converted gas (from a mixture of CO2 and hydrogen) in the production of ammonia type AM-76 and accumulation flue gas. Various innovative methods have been proposed for the disposal of spent mono- and methyldiethanolamines, which are in demand in various industries: in the process of urea condensation with a formaldehyde-containing product in the synthesis of adhesive and impregnating resins for woodworking, in the production of high-quality synthetic drying oils and substitutes for titanium white, in the manufacture of flame retardants and molding mixtures for metal structures and foundry molds in the metallurgical industry, when refining oil from hydrogen sulfide and mercaptans. This allowed us to solve the important environmental problem of the disposal of toxic waste, optimize the operation of a number of industries and reduce their environmental impact.
