Upper side blackish-brown ; primaries have the costal margin to cell and nearly to apex densely covered with fulvous ; the basal area and the inner margin sprinkled with fulvous scales; and the cell wholly deep fulvous except towards the outer end, where through the middle runs an oar-shaped blackish stripe; midway between cell and apex an elongated yellow-white spot, cut into three by the sub-costal nervules, the one of these spots nearest costa nearly lost in the fulvous ground ; across the disk an oblique band of yellow-white spots, the upper one small and in the upper discoidal interspace, placed a little outside the costal spot, the lower one in the submedian interspace, the spots widening as they proceed towards inner margin, and the 3rd and 4th deeply excavated on the outer side.

Limenitis Eros.Allied to Disippus, wings less produced, and in female very broad.Male—Expands about 2.6 inch.Upper side very dark red-brown; hind margins bordered broadly with black, costal margins narrowly; inner margin of primaries black to the submedian nervure ; all nervures and branches black, and narrowly edged with same color ; against the end of cell on primaries a long subtriangular black patch, its short side resting on costa, its apex prolonged into a stripe which reaches the border of hind margin below first branch of median ; beyond the disk on secondaries a transverse curved narrow black stripe from margin to margin ; within the borders and near their inner edges a common series of white spots, which on secondaries are small and more or less obsolete ; on the black triangle three white spots in line, the two nearest costa large, the third minute ; a white spot at the origin of upper subcostal interspace and a white streak on outer side of costal nervure opposite the triangle and a little way toward base ; fringes black, white in the middle of each interspace.

Melitæa Augusta.Male.—Expands from 1.6 to 1.75 inch; belongs to Chalcedon group, but is an conspicuously red as the species Chalcedon is black; upper side black, the surface nearly covered with light red and pale yellow spots, disposed as in the group; the basal areas dusted with yellow scales which, on primaries, extend along both margins; costa of same wing edged red; both hind margins bordered by small red spots, varying in shape, sometimes narrow and as of a broken stripe, sometimes more or lesss rounded to ovate; the spots of second row ar small, lunular, largest of secondaries, edged with red, the interior being yellow, or they are nearly all red with a small yellow patch in middle; sometimes this yellow is thinly washed red; the third row on primaries is either wholly yellow, or yellow with red edges, particularly on the outer side; on secondaries wholly red, and often very deep, so as to make a conspicuous broad band; the fourth row on primaries is red, sometimes with the spots next the two margins either yellow or in put yellow; around the end of cell yellow spots four or five in number; in the cell spots of red and yellow alternately, four in all, the yellow one at base more or less stained red; two yellow spots below cell with black ground between, and nearer base a small duplex red one; the fourth row on secondaries is yellow, either of small spots or pretty large ones, and the three or four from costal margin are red on their outer side; a red stripe outside the cell from the end to costal margin; two small yellow spots inside cell, with a red one between them and a yellow spot below; fringes yellow, black at the tips of the nervules.

Melitaea Fulvia.Male.—Expands 1.5 inch.Upper side brown-black over basal area of each wing, somewhat dusted rvith fulvous; or the ground color is partly replaced by fulvous, especially in the cells ; the costal margin and apex of primaries black, and both hind margins are narrowly edged by black ; all the nervures and branches black ; remainder of wings fulvous ; both have a submarginal series of fulvous spots, preceded by a black line, those of primaries at apex replaced by yellow, or obsolete ; beyond the black line a complete common series of small yellow spots ; a second on the disk, larger, and on secondaries elongated, sometimes very much so, and more or less confluent with the spots of the outer row ; on primaries a large yellow spot, edged with fulvous, next inside arc of cell, and two or three small yellow spots below this ; in cell of secondaries a small similar spot, but sometimes wanting ; fringes alternately and equally black and white.

Color pattern: Strikingly cross-banded throughout. Vertex, white or suffused wit11 yellow. Anterior two-thirds of pronotum, orange-red ; posterior third, white. First tegminal band occupying bases of tegmina to a point on costal margin slightly caudad of tip of scutellum, deep orange-red. Second band, white, extending to middle of clavus Third band, dark orange-red, about as wide as length of costal plaque; connected narrowly along costal margin with first tegminal band. Fourth band, white; rather narrow. Fifth band, golden yellow; somewhat wider than the fourth in middle; much wider at costal margin; margins uneven. Sixth band, white or transparent; narrower than the fifth; extending almost to cross-veins. Seventh band, smoky black; occupying rest of tegmina. Cross-veins, whitish ; most of base of cell M4, transparent ; costal plaque, purplish red with a white spot in either end; dorsum of abdomen and most of ventral surface, black or dark brown with the exception of the face between the eyes which shades off into a bright red band marked by several small white spots.

Bryocoropsis cotterelli, sp. n.Colour.—Blackish-brown, with the head, anterior lateral margins of pronotum, sides of the scutellum, sternum, venter, and legs, ferruginous brown. Hemielytra blackish-brown, with a large irregular area at apex of corium, pale yellowish-hyaline, and a small round spot below the middle of the embolium, another at base of corium, one on disc of corium, and some obscure markings on clavus, ochreous; membrane semi-opaque, blackish-grey with a dirty whitish bilobed spot below apex of cuneus between basal cell and the costal margin. Antennae black, the basal segment tinted with ferruginous brown. Rostrum brown with apex brownish-black. Hind tibiae tinted with black along outer side.

A new species of Guianacara is described from tributaries of the Essequibo River and the rio Branco in Guyana and northern Brazil. Guianacara dacrya, new species, can be diagnosed from all congeners by the possession of a unique infraorbital stripe and by the shape of the lateral margin of the lower pharyngeal jaw tooth plate. Guianacara dacrya can be further distinguished from G. geayi, G. owroewefi, G. sphenozona and G. stergiosi by the possession of a thin midlateral bar, from G. cuyunii by the possession of dusky branchiostegal membranes and from G. oelemariensis by the possession of two supraneurals. This species differs from most congeners by the presence of white spots on the spiny portion of the dorsal fin, the placement of the midlateral spot, the presence of filaments on the dorsal, anal and in rare cases the caudal-fin and from at least the Venezuelan species by several morphometric variables. Guianacara dacrya is known from the Essequibo, Takutu and Ireng River basins of Guyana and possibly from the rio Uraricoera in the rio Branco basin in Brazil. A key to the species is provided.

We describe a new species of Zhangixalus from southern Yunnan of China, Vietnam, and Thailand based on morphological and molecular evidence. The new species had been confused with Zhangixalus smaragdinus (Blyth, 1852) in the past. Zhangixalus pachyproctus sp. nov. can be distinguished from Z. smaragdinus morphologically by the protruding vent in adult males, large thick grey reticular mottles below the white stripe on flank, more oblique snout in profile and wider head, longer snout, greater internarial distance, larger tympanum and longer hindlimb. The new species can be distinguished from other species of Zhangixalus with green dorsum by the following combination of characters: body size larger (SVL of adult males: 74.2–83.3 mm; SVL of adult female: 102.4 mm); dorsum smooth; narrow white stripes along edge of the lower jaw, body sides, outer side of limbs and above the vent; absence of brown bands on canthus rostralis, upper eyelid and supratympanic fold; webbing between fingers and toes complete except between the first two fingers; and internal single subgular vocal sac. Phylogeny based on comparison of 16S rRNA sequences suggests that the new species is the sister taxon to Z. smaragdinus and the two species differ by 7.63% in the uncorrected pairwise distance of 16S sequences.

The article is devoted to the study of new representatives of the genus Kerpia Naugolnykh from Novyi Kuvak located in Shentalinsky district (northeast of Samara region). The genus Kerpia for ginkgo similar leaves was set by S.V. Naugolnykh in 1995 on the material from the Kungurian stage of the Middle Urals. Typical species of this genus is Kerpia macroloba Naugolnykh. In the diagnosis of the genus S.V. Naugolnykh showed the most important signs of this genus: presence of lobes and sinuses of the 1st and 2nd order, distinct petiole and two veins included in lamina from the petiole. Later, in 2001, from the sediments of Kazanian stage of the Southern Urals S.V. Naugolnykh described a new species Kerpia belebeica Naugolnykh. In 2013 in Novyi Kuvak location we found impressions of ginkgo similar leaves with on the one hand a great similarity with the known members of the genus Kerpia ( Kerpia macroloba and Kerpia belebeica ), but on the other hand they are clearly not identical to this representative at the species level. According to the results of the study of these impressoins in 2014 we described a new species of the genus Kerpia - Kerpia samarica N.S. Bukhman et L.M. Bukhman, 2014. In this paper we give description of both known and new findings of species Kerpia samarica and a comparison of this species with other species of the genus Kerpia .

A new species of the diverse Neotropical sharpshooter genus Erythrogonia Melichar, 1926 is described and illustrated from the Mantiqueira mountain range, municipality of Maria da Fé, state of Minas Gerais, southeastern Brazil. The new taxon is associated with olive orchards and has been implicated as a vector of the bacterium Xylella fastidiosa Wells et al., 1987, which causes a disease known in Brazil as olive leaf scorch syndrome. Erythrogonia sinvali sp. nov. can be distinguished from the other 90 known species of the genus by the following combination of features: (1) crown black without conspicuous contrasting spots; (2) frons with large yellow median spot; (3) pronotum black with large yellow area covering most of disk; (4) forewing dark red, without contrasting spots or stripes, costal margin narrowly black, apical portion dark brown; (5) aedeagus elongate, curved dorsally, with pair of spiniform apical processes; (6) paraphyses greatly reduced; (7) basal portion of male anal tube with pair of spiniform curved processes; (8) posterior margin of female abdominal sternite VII broadly emarginate and with broad central lobe; (9) female sternite VIII with sclerotized areas, including a transverse bar located at bases of ovipositor valvulae I, followed by a pair of elongate sclerites and a posterior bilobed sclerite. Both males and females of the new species are described in detail. A putative group of five species within Erythrogonia is preliminarily proposed, including the new taxon, E. separata Melichar, 1926, E. dorsalis (Signoret, 1853), E. calva (Taschenberg, 1884), and E. melichari Schmidt, 1928. Among these species, the male terminalia of E. sinvali sp. nov. are more similar to those of E. separata.

We describe Dendropsophus frosti sp. nov. from lowland terra firme rainforests of the headwaters of the Amazon RiverBasin in Colombia and Peru. The new species is known from only two localities, the type locality near Leticia (Departa-mento Amazonas, Colombia, 04° 06' 24.2" S, 69° 56' 57.4" W; 103 m.a.s.l.), and the paratopotypic locality, Piedras in thePutumayo basin (Departamento Loreto, Peru, 02.79278° S, 72.91750° W; 90–170 m.a.s.l.). Maximum likelihood and par-simony analyses of 2436 aligned base pairs of the 12S and 16S rRNA genes recovered the new species as a member of D.parviceps group and sister to D. brevifrons. The new species is most closely related to D. parviceps, D. brevifrons, and D.koechlini, and it can be readily distinguished from these and all other members of the D. parviceps group by, among othercharacters, its plain dorsal light brown coloration, copper iris, plain immaculate pale yellow to white venter coloration, lack of flash marks on groin and axillae, and absence of white spots on lips.
