  This study is intended to improve students’ reading skills through the implementation of the SQ3R method (Survey, Question, Read, Recite, Review). This type of research is classroom action research which is carried out at SMK Muhammadiyah Watansoppeng. The research subjects were students of class X SMK Muhammadiyah Watansoppeng for the academic year 2021/2022 which consisted of 17 students, 9 males and 8 females. This classroom action research was carried out in a number of two cycles, in which each cycle followed the stages of planning, implementation, observation and reflection. Analyze data using quantitative analysis. The results showed that the application of the SQ3R method could improve the learning outcomes of class X students of SMK Muhammadiyah Watansoppeng. This increase can be seen from the results of the data analysis cycle 1 with an average acquisition of 79.23 and the percentage of completeness 70.59%. The lowest score is 70 and the highest score is 90 with a median of 79. While in cycle 2 the average score is 89.29, the lowest score is 80 and the highest score is 98, the median is 90 and the percentage of completeness is 100 %. ABSTRAKPenelitian ini dimaksudkan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan membaca peserta didik melalui implementasi metode SQ3R (Survey, Question, Read, Recite, Review). Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitin tindakan kelas (classroom action research) yang dilaksanakan di SMK Muhammadiyah Watansoppeng. Subyek penelitian adalah siswa kelas X SMK Muhammadiyah Watansoppeng Tahun pelajaran 2021/2022 yang terdiri dari 17 siswa, 9 laki-laki dan 8 perempuan. Penelitian tindakan kelas ini dilaksanakan sejumlah dua siklus yang mana pada setiap siklusnya mengikuti tahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi dan refleksi. Untuk análisis data penulis gunakan análisis kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian ditemukan bahwa penggunaan metode SQ3R dapat meningkatkan keterampilan membaca peserta didik kelas X SMK Muhammadiyah Watansoppeng. Peningkatan tersebut dapat dilihat dari hasil análisis data siklus 1 dengan rata-rata perolehan 79,23 serta persentase ketuntasan 70,59%. Perolehan skor terendah yaitu 70 dan skor tertinggi yaitu 90 dengan median 79. Sedangkan pada siklus 2 rata-rata skor perolehan yaitu 89,29, skor terendah yaitu 80 dan skor tertinggi 98, median sebesar 90 serta persentase ketuntasan yaitu 100%.

Abstract:This study aims to determine differences in readingcomprehension skills in Indonesian subjects before and after using the Method Question Read Recited Review Survey (SQ3R) for students in the SDN 05 Pemuar. This research was conducted based on the background of the problem of teacher-centered learning processes, this is what makes students less active and look passive in the classroom, therefore students have difficulty absorbing the material and causing students' reading skills to understand the story text is less. Through this research the researcher hopes to be able to improve students' reading comprehension skills, especially in learning Indonesian in class III SDN 05 Pemuar. This research is an experimental study using thePretest-Posttest One-Group Design. The population in this study included all third gradestudents of SDN 05 PEMUAR with a sample of 14 people consisting of 9 male students and 5 female students. The sample used in this study is a saturated sample, therefore all members of the population are sampled. The preliminary data of this study usedavaluepretest with an average of 61.75 and an averagescore of posttest70.35.Based on the results of research tests of reading comprehension of students' understanding shows the value of t count of 49.571 and t table of 42.048 so that Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted because t count from t table. So it can be concludedthat with the Method it Question Read Recited Review Survey (SQ3R) has been proven effective against students' reading comprehension abilities, especially in class III SDN 05 Pemuar. Penggunaan strategi kemahiran membaca di kalangan pelajar adalah salah satu faktor yang menyumbang kepada pencapaian akademik pelajar dalam bidang pengajian mereka. Walau bagaimanapun, banyak kajian menunjukkan bahawa penggunaan strategi kemahiran membaca dalam kalangan pelajar pengajian Islam adalah mengecewakan. Oleh itu, tujuan kajian ini adalah untuk menilai keberkesanan modul pembelajaran kendiri strategi pemahaman membaca teks bahasa Arab yang telah dibangunkan untuk membantu mereka menguasai kemahiran membaca bahasa Arab dengan lebih berkesan. Modul ini telah direka dan dibangunkan untuk membantu pembaca meningkatkan kepantasan dan ketepatan memahami bacaan bahasa Arab, untuk kegunaan pelajar, guru atau pembaca yang telah mempunyai asas bahasa Arab seperti asas nahw, sarf dan balaghah. Pengajaran strategi membaca dalam modul tersebut diadaptasi daripada strategi membaca SQ3R (survey, question, read, recite and review). Instrumen kajian yang digunakan adalah sebuah modul pembelajaran kendiri strategi pemahaman membaca bahasa Arab yang dikenali sebagai MPK SPMBA, dan ujian pencapaian yang terdiri daripada satu set soalan ujian pra kefahaman teks dan satu set solan ujian pasca kefahaman teks, dan satu set soal selidik penggunaan strategi membaca yang diuji selepas ujian pra kefahaman dan pasca kefahaman teks. Data dianalisis menggunakan ujian t untuk menunjukkan perbezaan antara pemboleh ubah kajian menggunakan program SPSS-Windows versi 20.0. Penemuan kajian menunjukkan bahawa penggunaan MPK SPMBA mempunyai kesan positif dalam meningkatkan kepantasan dan ketepatan pemahaman bacaan teks bahasa Arab dalam kalangan peserta kajian. Penggunaan modul pembelajaran kendiri ini adalah relevan dengan tuntutan Dasar Pendidikan Nasional Malaysia yang bertujuan untuk " memastikan setiap murid Islam berpeluang mengikuti Pendidikan Islam dan bahasa Arab yang berkualiti". The use of reading skills strategies among students is one of the factors contributing to students' reading and academic achievement in their field of study. However, many studies show that the use of reading skills strategies among Islamic students is disappointing. The purpose of this study is therefore to evaluate the effectiveness of a self-study module on Arabic language reading comprehension strategies that have been developed to help them master Arabic reading skills more effectively. The module is called the Self-Learning Module of Arabic Reading Comprehension Strategy (MPK SPMBA). This module has been designed and developed to help readers improve their reading speed and accuracy in reading Arabic material. The MPK SPMBA is specially designed for students, teachers or readers with basic Arabic language such as the basics of nahw, sarf and balaghah. It comes with the teaching of reading strategies adapted from the SQ3R reading strategies (survey, question, read, recite and review). The research instrument used in this study is a module known as the MPK SPMBA and achievement test consisting of two sets of text comprehension test questions, pre and post test, and a set of questionnaire using the reading strategy tested before the pre and post test. text comprehension. Data were analyzed using t-test to show differences between study variables using SPSS-Windows program version 20.0. The findings of the study indicate that the use of SPMBA MPK has a positive effect on improving comprehension and reading speed of Arabic texts among study participants. The study's findings suggest that the MPK SPMBA should be used as a self-directed teaching tool in enhancing the ability of Islamic students to understand Arabic text reading more accurately and quickly. The use of this self-learning module is relevant to the demands of the Malaysian National Education Policy which seeks to "ensure that every Muslim student has the opportunity to pursue quality Islamic Education and Arabic".

Purpose The purpose of this review article is to present certain linguistic domains to consider in the assessment of children learning a new language. Speech-language pathologists frequently face difficulty when determining if a bilingual or multilingual child possesses a true speech or language disorder. Given the increased number of new language learners across the world, clinicians must understand differences versus disorders to prevent underidentification or overidentification of a disorder. Conclusions Early identification of a true disorder has been shown to prevent language and literacy difficulties, given that children are able to achieve grade-level reading skills when given intervention. Clinical knowledge and skills are strongly required so that children receive evidence-based assessment to support their academic development. Learning Goal Readers will gain an understanding of the factors that support evidence-based assessment of bilingual and multilingual language learners.
