At present, the status of the monitoring of computerized numerical control machine tools is still in the initial stage, and there is no uniform standard for fault early warning and diagnosis of machine tools. A standardized and comprehensive machine tool condition monitoring method based on energy fault tree analysis is proposed. The power, current and temperature inside the numerical control system and the signal of the external vibration sensor are collectively referred to as energy. A new energy fault tree is used to identify the location of the fault. At the same time, the client of computerized numerical control system internal information collection and analysis is developed. The characteristic frequency of each key component is analysed by theoretical mechanics, and an overall monitoring method is proposed to improve the monitoring efficiency. Finally, the reliability of the monitoring method is verified by experiments. The surface roughness of the parts is reduced by approximately 50%, which lays the foundation for the application of the engineering.

Open PLC Development has a strong adaptability and flexibility. In consideration of the requirement of users of the computerized numerical control system and to drop of difference of the usage, the PLC software can be flex-designed. First, the global structure is devised. Second, intensive study of the concrete method of every module of the PLC software is implemented. Finally, an example is shown to illustrate the correctness of the system.

In order to get over the limitationof the velocity planning method of computerized numerical control (CNC) system,a rapid S-shaped acceleration and deceleration method is presented in thispaper. In the method, the rapid solving model of S-shape velocity planning isproposed, and these displacement, velocity and acceleration formulaeof a rapid S-shape acceleration and deceleration model are derived. Compared with the proposedapproach and the traditional velocity planning method, the simulative and experimental resultsshow that the proposed method is smoother, and the machining efficiencyis greatly improved.

This paper mainly focuses on designing an open CNC system. At first, the advantages and disadvantages of the three popular open numerical control technologies were discussed, and on the basis of demands analysis, this paper chose motion controller plus PC as the whole system model. Then, according to the system model, this article designed the hardware system for the control system, including choosing multi-axis motion control card, servo motors and their drivers. Thirdly, based on the features of this open numerical control system, the paper designed and put the software into three levels, namely low level of control software, mid-level of communication software, and high-level of management software respectively. Finally, in order to test the control performance of this open numerical control system, some experiments were carried out on a two-dimension motion platform, the results are satisfactory and error analysis on these experiments is also given out.
