A three-dimensional discrete element method analytic model of the corn seed metering device with combination inner-cell was established based on its 3D CAD model, and the three-dimensional particle model of corn seeds was built by using the method of combination spherical particle. The working process of the corn seed metering device was simulated and analyzed by self-developed three-dimensional CAE software. It was observed that the simulative results of the seeding performance, clearing angles and dropping angles of the corn seeds well agreed with the bench test results. A novel method for studying and designing of the corn seed metering device was put forward.

The paper discusses the issues for neutralization of solid waste – sorbent saturated with vapors of highboiling propellants (dinitrogen tetraoxide – oxidizer, nonsymmetrical dymethylhydrazine – fuel). The original methods of neutralizing the sorbent, contaminated with vapors of propellants, have been developed and the known methods have been experimentally checked. The neutralization methods bench test results have been presented.

The design scheme of a new type strut was put forward, whose stiffness characteristics can undertake linkage control. The structure and basic principle of this new suspension component were introduced. According to fluid mechanics and thermodynamics, a mathematical model for the stroke dependent stiffness characteristics of the strut was established, and the stiffness characteristics were analyzed by using software SIMULINK. Then the stiffness performance bench test of the strut specimen was carried out for verification. Results show that the test results agree well with the simulation results. It is verified that the established mathematical model is correct and the stiffness of this strut shows nonlinear changes vary with the displacement of piston. When the suspension is largely impacted, the stiffness of this strut increases quickly which could restrain the wheel bouncing, body roll and vertical vibration.

Abstract With the recent energy crisis, the new energy harvesting technologies have become one of the hot spots in engineering academic research and industrial applications. By its wide range of application fields, vibration energy harvesting technologies have been gradually developed and utilized in which an efficient and stable harvester technology is one of the recent key problems. In order to improve energy harvesting efficiency and reduce energy loss caused by motor inertial commutation, many mechanical structures or hydraulic structures that convert reciprocating vibration energy into single direction rotation of motor are proposed. Although these methods can improve energy harvesting efficiency, they can have negative effects in some cases, especially in the case of vibration energy harvesting from human beings. This paper proposes a vibration harvesting mechanism with mechanical rectification filter function applied to backpack. The prototype model of the system was established in SolidWorks and imported into ADAMS. Thereafter, dynamic analyses of mechanical rectification filtering characteristics and meshing characteristics of one-way clutch were simulated in ADAMS. Based on ADAMS, parametric design analysis and its influence on the mechanical rectification characteristics were investigated. The simulation results were validated by bench test results. Simulation results is done by ADAMS and the results match well with bench test results.

An instrument has been developed for the simultaneous measurement of carbon dioxide excretion (VCO2) and oxygen uptake (VO2). This instrument, the Nutrimeter, gives these breath-averaged measurements continuously without having to determine respiratory flow rate, perform timed spirometric gas collections, or determine absolute CO2 or O2 concentrations. It can be used on ventilated or nonventilated patients in long- and short-term studies. VO2 is determined via the replenishment technique. VCO2 is determined via a new technique, absorption-titration, described here. Bench test results of VCO2 measurements show a standard error of the estimate (SEE) +/- 0.591% of full scale (500 ml/min) and maximum single point error (MSPE) of +/- 3.54% over a 100--350 ml/min range. VO2 measurements show SEE +/- 0.518% of full scale (1,000 ml/min) and MSPE +/- 2.42% over a 100--450 ml/min range. In 31 human clinical trials the Nutrimeter was compared with the open-circuit spirometric collection and micro-Scholander analysis technique. VCO2 measurements show SEE +/- 2.208% and MSPE +/- 10.57% over 135--315 ml/min. VO2 measurements show SEE +/- 1.134% of full scale and MSPE +/- 9.54% over 170--360 ml/min. Response time is 60 s optimally for step changes in VO2 (0--90% of steady-state value), 90 s for VCO2.

The stability of the shifting mechanism is the basis of the reliability of the automatic shift system. The gear shifting process of Taishan TG1804 tractor is hard and long. In order to solve this problem, we design a tractor automatic shift system and apply it to the tractor successfully. This paper designs a shifting mechanism, optimizes the shifting mechanism and dose the dynamic bench test. The test results prove that the optimized shifting mechanism is more reliable and more reasonable.
