With the expansion of China's securities market scale, securities companies as an important participant in the securities market have also developed rapidly. Under the influence of the global epidemic, the transaction volume of securities companies continued to decline, the profit prospects of securities firms increased, liquidity continued to be loose, and the overall policy budget was surplus. Through the efficiency analysis of securities companies, we can understand the resource utilization and industry conditions of securities companies, find out the gaps and deficiencies, and then improve, and improve the operating efficiency of the industry. In order to evaluate the operating efficiency of securities companies more scientific and objective, this paper adopts DEA-Malmquist index and super-efficiency DEA method, based on the financial statement data disclosed by 25 securities companies in 2016~2020, establishes an evaluation index system, analyzes the operating efficiency of securities companies, calculates and analyzes the operating efficiency of securities companies and reveals their internal reasons. The research results show that (1) steady improvement of operating productivity; (2) technical progress is the main factor; operating efficiency of (3) with different securities companies, scale efficiency weakly hinders technical efficiency; (4) Large securities companies should pay attention to control scale, develop innovative business, strengthen cost management, risk control and risk response ability.

In China’s economic system, security companies are important participants, and their high operating efficiency can improve the country’s economy. Based on the traditional CCR-DEA model, this paper uses super-efficiency DEA model and MALMQUIST index model to analyze the operational efficiency of 10 listed security companies in China from 2016 to 2020, it is found that the operating efficiency of security companies as a whole has a slight upward trend, and the improvement of business efficiency depends on technical efficiency, and relates to pure technical efficiency and scale efficiency.

Based on the panel data of China’s culture and related industries, this paper constructs an evaluation index system of total factor productivity of culture industry, measures the TFP of culture industry by using the global Malmquist index method, The results show that the TFP index of China’s culture industry decreases by 3.1% every year, which is mainly driven by technological progress, There is an obvious trend of σ convergence among China’s culture industry as a whole, the western region and the subdivided industries. The convergence rate of TFP in the whole culture industry is 2.306%.

This paper uses principal component analysis (PCA) and entropy method to construct the evaluation index system of the scientific research performance of universities in 31 provinces and cities in China. Based on the traditional DEA model, the development trend of the scientific research performance of the research objects from 2015 to 2019 is dynamically evaluated by the Malmquist index method. The results show that the scientific research performance of universities in various regions of China is not ideal, and the level of scientific research performance is declining. The total factor productivity of scientific research in the central and western regions is much higher than that in the eastern region. The main factor that hinders the improvement of scientific research performance is the efficiency of technological progress. Finally, aiming at the existing problems, some feasible suggestions are put forward to further improve the input-output efficiency of scientific research in universities.

This study measures performance and efficiency of the Listed Real Estate Companies (LRECs). Three types of Data envelopment analysis (DEA) approaches are employed, which are CCR-DEA, BCC-DEA and Super-Efficiency-DEA models. Based on these DEA approaches, we conduct an empirical analysis on the 94 LRECs in China stock markets according to the 2009 Annual Financial Statements. Registered Capital, Asset Value, Employee Number, and Operation Cost are adopted as the inputs factors, while the output factors are denoted by Revenue and Profit. In general, this empirical research delivers four outcomes: firstly, an integrated assessment system and a ranking of the LRECs are established, which provides useful information for investors who are seeking for indirect exposure in the Chinese real estate market. Secondly, the average Overall Efficiency (OE), Pure Technical Efficiency (PTE) and Scale Efficiency (SE) of the LRECs are 0.78, 0.84 and 0.92 respectively. Thirdly, 69% of the inefficient LRECs are classified as increasing returns to scale and could further increase operating efficiency by scale expansion. Fourthly, the employees slack is prevalent at 18.96% for the inefficient LRECs. Pritaikius šiuos duomenų apgaubties analizės metodus ir remiantis 2009 m. metinių finansinių ataskaitų duomenimis, buvo atlikta Kinijos akcijų rinkos 94-ių nekilnojamojo turto kompanijų, kurių vertybiniai popieriai įtraukti į biržos sąrašus, empirinė analizė. Įstatinis kapitalas, nominali aktyvų vertė, darbuotojų skaičius ir eksploatacinės išlaidos laikomi įeigos veiksniais, o išeigos veiksniais imamos pajamos ir pelnas. Šiuo empiriniu tyrimu galima pasiekti keturių rezultatų: pirmiausia, sudaryta integruoto vertinimo sistema ir nustatomi nekilnojamojo turto kompanijų, kurių vertybiniai popieriai įtraukti į biržos sąrašus, reitingai. The unbalanced economic development results in the difference in operating efficiency of the non-life insurance industry in China’s provinces; based on the DEA-Malmquist index method, this paper investigates the provincial differences, dynamic change characteristics, and causes of non-life insurance productivity in 31 provinces of China from 2004 to 2017. The results show that in the sample period, there are significant differences between provinces and regions in China’s non-life insurance efficiency, which generally shows the echelon spatial characteristics of “strong in the west and weak in the east”. Technological progress in the western region promotes the rapid growth of total factor productivity, while the low efficiency of technological progress in the eastern region restrains the improvement of total factor productivity. The overall total factor productivity of China’s provincial non-life insurance industry is on the rise, mainly due to the improvement of pure technical efficiency and scale efficiency, while technological progress has an inhibiting effect on the contrary. These conclusions are of reference value for relevant stakeholders in China’s provincial non-life insurance market to formulate development strategies and business strategies.

Objectives: To study the changes of TFP in TCM hospitals in Hubei Province from 2013 to 2019, so as to provide policy basis for improving service efficiency and promoting the development of TCM. Methods: The statistical reports of 90 public TCM hospitals in Hubei Province from 2013 to 2019 were collected using the Hubei Provincial Comprehensive Statistical Information System for TCM, and the TFP of TCM hospitals were dynamically analysed using the DEA-Malmquist index method. Results: From 2013 to 2019, the Total Factor Productivity Change (TFPCH) index of TCM Hospitals in Hubei Province increased by 0.8%; the Efficiency Change (EFFCH) index increased by 0.5%; the Technical Change (TECH) index increased by 0.3%; the Pure Efficiency Change (PECH) index increased by 0.2% and the Scale Efficiency Change (SECH) index increased by 0.4%. The mean values of the TFPCH index in the eastern, central, and western regions of Hubei Province were 1.001, 1.011, and 1.013, respectively, and the mean values of that in the secondary and tertiary hospitals were 1.004 and 1.024, respectively. Conclusions: The TFP of TCM hospitals in Hubei Province tends to improve on the whole. There are differences in the TFPCH index of TCM hospitals in different regions and levels. The stage development characteristics of core cities play a leading role and are worth learning.

<p>Taking 31 provinces as the research object, this paper constructed the input-output efficiency evaluation index system of public sports service in China. The paper evaluated the input-output efficiency level and spatial-temporal pattern of public sports services using the methods of data envelopment analysis and exploratory spatial data analysis. The results show that: (1) The average comprehensive super-efficiency value of public sports service in 2016 was higher than that in 2008, and the provinces with the comprehensive super-efficiency value greater than 1 increased, but the difference between provinces in 2016 was more obvious. (2) Compared with 2008, the efficiency distribution of public sports service in 2016 is more balanced among the three regions, the difference between the eastern region and the central region is reduced. (3) The efficiency of public sports service has different spatial correlation in the geographical spatial distribution, and this correlation shows the reverse in the two measurements.</p>

The development of pharmaceutical companies, which is an important part of the national economy and industry, is closely related to people’s livelihood issues. With the era of big data, this paper uses the two-stage DEA and Malmquist method to evaluate the efficiency of listed Chinese pharmaceutical companies. From a static and dynamic perspective, it analyses the total factor productivity index, pure efficiency change index, scale efficiency index, and so on. The results show that government subsidies have not had a positive impact on most Chinese pharmaceutical companies, and for films, diseconomies of scale caused by rapid expansion should be avoided.

Poverty alleviation through tourism is an important way for China to achieve targeted poverty alleviation and win the battle of poverty alleviation. As a region with deep poverty and great difficulty in poverty alleviation, whether tourism development has injected key impetus into ethnic minority areas needs to be tested by both qualitative analysis and quantitative measurement. This paper takes eight ethnic provinces (regions) in China as an example to conduct an empirical study. Based on the Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA)-BCC model and Malmquist index, it evaluates the tourism investment and tourism poverty alleviation efficiency of the ethnic regions in the two stages of tourism poverty alleviation, and analyzes them by classification. The results of the study show: (1) The pure technical efficiency in the first stage is relatively high, but the total factor productivity of each region is declining; (2) The pure technical efficiency in the second stage is also relatively high, but the scale efficiency is low, and the change rate of total factor productivity of the provinces in China has increased significantly; (3) The “double high” type includes Guangxi, Inner Mongolia, and Guizhou, and the “double low” type includes Qinghai, Yunnan, Tibet, Xinjiang, and Ningxia. The results of the study generally show that tourism poverty alleviation has brought about the improvement of the living standards of residents and the development of local economy, but the efficiency of tourism poverty alleviation needs to be improved. On this basis, the article puts forward corresponding improvement measures, in order to further help the ethnic minority areas get rid of poverty in a comprehensive way by promoting the efficient and sustainable development of tourism.
