Introduction: In India, 1% to 19% of the total students have Learning Disability. Learning disability may vary from person to person and is incurable but can be controlled if diagnosed earlier. Teachers play a vital role in its identification.  Aims: Assessing the Knowledge and Attitude of primary school teachers regarding early identification and management of Learning Disability. Study Design: The study design is Descriptive cross sectional design. Place and Duration of Study: selected school at Tapi District, Gujarat, between 2020 – 2021. Methodology: The research was carried out by using Quantitative research approach and on 150 primary school teachers. The non probability sampling technique was used. The tool includes socio demographic variables, Knowledge questionnaire and Attitude scale. Results: No teacher have excellent knowledge i.e 0.00% regarding Learning Disabilty. 59.33% have good knowledge and 40.66% teachers are poor in knowledge regarding Learning Disability. 96.66% teachers have positive attitude towards children having Learning Disability while 3.33% teachers have negative Knowledge. There is positive correlation between Knowledge and Attitude. There is significant association of knowledge with age and classes allotted at p< 0.05. There is significant association of Attitude with classes allotted at p< 0.05. Conclusion: Majority of the teachers have good Knowledge and most of them have positive attitude towards the children with Learning disability.

Introduction: Dental injuries could happen anywhere, including in the school compound. Correct management by the teachers in dental emergencies could prevent further damage to the traumatized tooth and improve the success rate of the treatment. Hence, the purpose of this study was to assess the knowledge and attitude towards dental trauma management among the primary school teachers in Kubang Kerian area. Methods: This descriptive study was conducted in three national primary schools in Kubang Kerian and multi-stages sampling was performed to select the subjects. One hundred and twenty teachers (n = 120) were randomly selected and responded to a set of a self-administered questionnaire. The questionnaire consisted of general characteristics, knowledge, and attitude towards dental trauma. Results: A total of 120 primary school teachers, predominantly female teachers (74.2%) participated in this study. More than half of the teachers (62.5%) have more than 15 years of teaching experience. One-third of the teachers (34.2%) have completed first aid training; however, dental trauma management subject was lacking (1.7%). About 31.7% of the respondent had experienced dental trauma case. Eighty-five percent of the teachers did not opt for tooth replantation in the case of avulsion and almost all the teachers (97.5%) did not choose fresh milk as the medium storage of the avulsed tooth. Conclusion: The level of knowledge and attitude on dental trauma management among school teachers is unsatisfactory. As a recommendation, first aid training given to the teachers should include basic knowledge of dental trauma management. The awareness can be improved by organizing talk or campaign on dental trauma management at the school level.Keywords: Children, dental trauma, school teachers.

<p>The purpose of this study was to assess the knowledge and attitude of primary school teachers in Tehran (Iran) towards attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and specific learning disability (SLD). This study was conducted on 205 primary school teachers in Tehran. Using multi-stage sampling, 25 schools were selected randomly. The selected teachers completed a self-report questionnaire on knowledge and attitude towards ADHD and SLD. They were found to have average knowledge of as well as mostly neutral attitudes towards SLD and ADHD. There was a positive significant relationship between knowledge and attitude scores of the participants on the two disorders. Regarding students with ADHD or SLD, instead of referring to specialists, most teachers chose to inform the parents. Our findings mainly indicate average knowledge and attitude scores for both ADHD and SLD-compared to lower findings in previous studies. Those responsible for organizing and holding in-service training workshops on these issues need to have complete mastery and up-to-date information. It is necessary that the results of such studies be used in educational planning and policy making in the Ministry of Education. </p>

Background: Teachers are in advantage position to propagate correct information with regard to HIV/AIDS thereby influencing attitude towards PLWHA. With correct information stigmatization leading to spread of the scourge might be prevented. Aims & Objectives: The study was conducted to determine knowledge and attitude of primary school teachers towards PLWHA. Methods & Materials: The cross-sectional survey was used to study a sample of 400 primary school teachers in Ebonyi State, Nigeria. The instrument used for data collection was researchers’ designed questionnaire. Out of 400 copies of ques- tionnaire administered; 394 representing 98.5% return rate, were used for analysis of data. Results: Results showed respondents had moderate (57.4%) knowledge concerning HIV/AIDS and positive attitude (3.09 ± 0.98) to PLWHA. Female teachers’ dispositions to PLWHA were better than the males based on their attitude scores and the difference was not significant in general knowledge of HIV/AIDS and attitude to PLWHA. Conclusion: Our findings underscore the need for a universal health education programme, focusing on HIV/AIDS educa- tion, in education institutions that train teachers in Nigeria so as to possibly mitigate the discrepancy in knowledge regarding curability of AIDS and any undesirable attitude towards PLWHA that may arise among teachers.
