The importance of population distribution study appears through its direct impact on various fields such as economy, social and political fields. The research aims to show the pictures of the distribution of population in Anbar Province for 2019 according to its administrative units, but differently from the distributions taken earlier. We will depend on the distribution in several quantitative methods using GIS through multiple quantitative maps to show the ability of digital programs to represent in more than one method for same data, as well as the possibility of modern technologies of achieving maps and conduct spatial analyze at the lowest time and cost. This is what we see in the preparation of population maps for the region research clarifying what are the quantitative maps and showing the steps of their production in GIS and the symbols used as well as using ARC GIS programs in all research stages such as the progress of geographic return and then multiple drawing operations with the establishment of a digital database. The search came out a set of different maps in terms of the way drawing and output.

This research study the distribution of hospitals in the province of Baghdad Using geographic information system to focus on the shortage of hospitals in specific regions in comparison with other regions. In the distribution of hospitals in the city of Baghdad using Arc GIS program, we noticed that there is a shortage in the number of hospitals in the city of Kadhimiya, Sadr city and other areas compared to the increase in the population in these areas. There are enough hospitals in the area of Andalus square.

The funding of local authorities in England is done through a formula-based system which seeks to compensate authorities for having to meet higher levels of demand, and/or for facing higher levels of cost, because of the particular conditions of their local area. Differences in the population distribution of areas can affect levels of demand and also the costs of supplying services. The authors begin by questioning whether the measures of population density and sparsity in the current formulae adequately represent the effects of the settlement patterns of an area on service costs in particular. To illustrate the issue, the effects of population distribution on fire services are examined in detail. The differences in principle between the basis of the funding formula for fire services and the criteria by which the detailed activities of fire services are scrutinised by a different government department are discussed. Using a geographic information system, the authors show that the information which underlies the detailed scrutiny of each fire service could also be used to assess the effect of settlement patterns on service costs.

Abstrak— Pengamatan pola penyebaran penduduk merupakan salah satu hal yang sangat penting bagi pemerintah. Informasi mengenai hal ini akan bermanfaat untuk pengambilan keputusan dalam perencanaan pembangunan di wilayah pemerintahan. Prediksi penyebaran jumlah penduduk akan sangat bermanfaat untuk perencanaan pembangunan di wilayah Bandar Lampung. Informasi mengenai penyebaran dan prediksi jumlah penduduk di wilayah Bandar Lampung masih diolah secara manual dengan penyajian masih terbatas dalam bentuk tabel dan grafik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membangun sistem informasi geografis berbasis web yang menampilkan pemetaan penyebaran dan prediksi jumlah penduduk berdasarkan metode geometrik di wilayah Bandar Lampung. Data pada penelitian ini diperoleh dari publikasi Badan Pusat Statistik Kota Bandar Lampung. Sistem ini diimplementasikan menggunakan Qgis, Geoserver, PostgreSQL dan bahasa pemrograman PHP. Hasil keseluruhan pengujian menunjukkan bahwa sistem informasi geografis penyebaran dan prediksi jumlah penduduk telah sesuai baik dari segi fungsionalitasnya, maupun dari segi interaksi pelayanan pengguna.Kata Kunci— Sistem Informasi Geografis, Model Geometrik, Pemetaan Jumlah Penduduk.Abstract— Population distribution pattern is one of Bandar Lampung government concerns. This information is useful for goverment decision making for specific local development.The prediction of population number using certain model is predicted will be useful for Bandar Lampung development plan. Information about distribution and prediction of resident population in Bandar Lampung are processed manually and limitedly presented in form of tables and graphs. The purpose of this research is to build Bandar Lampung web based Geographic Information System that predict population distribution and mapping using Geometric Model. Data in this research were obtained from Statistics Of Bandar Lampung Municipality Publication. This system was implemented by using QGIS, GeoServer, PostgreSQL and PHP programming language. Overall,the testing results show that the system is appropriate and functional.Keywords— Geographic information system, Geometric Model, Mapping population.

Jember is one of the regencies in East Java having tsunami-prone areas. Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) of Jember defined six sub-districts that are vulnerable to tsunami disasters comprised of Kencong, Puger, Gumukmas, Wuluhan, Ambulu, and Tempurejo. Settlements in coastal areas are at risk of being affected by the tsunami. The residential household close to the seashore is centrally located in Kencong, Gumukmas, Puger, and Ambulu sub-district. The high density of buildings can cause economic losses and fatalities in the surrounding area when a tsunami disaster strikes. This research aims to identify and measure tsunami risk levels in all coastal villages of the Jember Regency. The research method used a quantitative approach through scoring and weighting technique, also a disaster risk matrix. Spatial analysis conduct used a geographic information system app (Arc GIS). The Arc GIS output is of several maps of hazard, vulnerability, capacity, and tsunami disaster risk in the Jember Regency Coastal Area. The research result of the tsunami disaster risk assessment showed that six villages had high risk from twelve coastal villages in Jember Regency.

This research was conducted with the aim to determine the suitability of beach tourism area in Bitung city by using Geographic Information System application. This information is necessary to support the provision of geospatial information the beach, so the tourist management in research into more optimum location. Suitability Analysis Zone (spatial) analysis of the suitability of the area is done by using Geographic Information System (GIS), a computer-based geospatial information system involving Arc GIS software 10.1. Based on analysis of the suitability of the area spatially, shows that, for beach tourism area in the area of research, can be divided into 4 (four) classes, namely: (1) land suitability classes by category S1 (Very appropriate) with an area of 376.76 ha (5.87%); (2) land suitability classes with category S2 (Subject) with an area of 262.97 ha (4:10%) (3) land suitability classes with category S3 (In accordance marginal) with an area of 640.48 ha (9.99%) and (4) land suitability classes categories N (Not available) with an area of 5133.79 ha (80.04%) Keywords: Suitability, Area, Zone, Beach   Abstrak Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dengan tujuan untuk menentukan kesesuaian kawasan wisata pantai di Kota Bitung dengan menggunakan aplikasi Sistem Informasi Geografis. Informasi ini sangat diperlukan untuk mendukung penyediaan informasi geospasial pantai, sehingga pengelolaan wisata di lokasi penelitian menjadi lebih optimum.  Analisis Kesesuaian Kawasan (Spasial) Analisis kesesuaian kawasan dilakukan dengan menggunakan Sistem Informasi Geografis (SIG), yaitu sistem informasi geospasial berbasis komputer dengan melibatkan perangkat lunak Arc GIS 10.1. Berdasarkan hasil analisis kesesuaian kawasan secara spasial, diperoleh bahwa untuk kawasan wisata pantai pada daerah penelitian, dapat dibagi menjadi 4 (empat) kelas, yaitu: (1) kelas kesesuaian lahan dengan kategori S1 (Sangat Sesuai) dengan areal seluas 376.76 ha (5.87%); (2) kelas kesesuaian lahan dengan kategori S2 (Sesuai) dengan areal seluas 262.97 ha (4.10 %) (3) kelas kesesuaian lahan dengan kategori S3 (Sesuai Marginal) dengan areal seluas 640.48 ha (9.99%) dan (4) kelas kesesuaian lahan dengan kategori N (Tidak Sesuai) dengan areal seluas 5133.79 ha (80.04%)

<p>Erupsi Gunungapi Merapi tahun 2010 mengakibatkan banyak korban jiwa, kerusakan aset dan kerugian di berbagai bidang. Untuk meminimalkan korban jiwa, kerusakan dan kerugian, diperlukan upaya pengurangan risiko bencana (PRB). Salah satu upaya yang dilakukan adalah program desa bersaudara (<em>sister village</em>) yang digagas oleh Pemerintah Kabupaten Magelang melalui Badan Penanggulangan Bencana Daerah (BPBD). Program desa bersaudara ini bertujuan agar ada kepastian tempat pengungsian, mengurangi kesemrawutan proses pengungsian serta memudahkan pelayanan pengungsi. Program ini dapat memanfaatan Sistem Informasi Geografis/<em>Geographic Information System</em> (GIS) yang berbasis web (<em>WebGIS</em>). <em>WebGIS</em> mampu mendiseminasikan peta yang dihasilkan dalam program desa bersaudara, misalnya peta jalur evakuasi. Makalah ini bertujuan untuk mendiskripsikan pemanfataan <em>WebGIS</em> dalam mendukung program desa bersaudara, dengan mengambil kasus di Desa Ngargomulyo (desa rawan bencana) dan Desa Tamanagung (desa penyangga/ penerima pengungsi). Metodenya adalah memaparkan proses pemetaan jalur evakuasi. Proses penyusunan peta tersebut terbagi empat tahap:   survei lapangan, penyiapan data spasial, coding dan publikasi. Hasilnya adalah tampilan peta jalur evakuasi yang bisa diakses oleh siapapun tanpa menggunakan aplikasi GIS yang memudahkan masyarakat pengungsi, penerima pengungsi, pemerintah maupun parapihak, mengetahui asal pengungsi, jalur evakuasi dan titik pengungsian. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa pemetaan <em>WebGIS</em> dapat mendukung upaya PRB dengan keunggulan bisa dijangkau pengguna secara sangat luas.<strong></strong></p><p><strong>Kata kunci</strong>: desa bersaudara, <em>sister village</em>, pemetaan jalur evakuasi, <em>gis</em>, <em>webgis</em></p>
