This research was conducted with the aim to determine the suitability of beach tourism area in Bitung city by using Geographic Information System application. This information is necessary to support the provision of geospatial information the beach, so the tourist management in research into more optimum location. Suitability Analysis Zone (spatial) analysis of the suitability of the area is done by using Geographic Information System (GIS), a computer-based geospatial information system involving Arc GIS software 10.1. Based on analysis of the suitability of the area spatially, shows that, for beach tourism area in the area of research, can be divided into 4 (four) classes, namely: (1) land suitability classes by category S1 (Very appropriate) with an area of 376.76 ha (5.87%); (2) land suitability classes with category S2 (Subject) with an area of 262.97 ha (4:10%) (3) land suitability classes with category S3 (In accordance marginal) with an area of 640.48 ha (9.99%) and (4) land suitability classes categories N (Not available) with an area of 5133.79 ha (80.04%) Keywords: Suitability, Area, Zone, Beach   Abstrak Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dengan tujuan untuk menentukan kesesuaian kawasan wisata pantai di Kota Bitung dengan menggunakan aplikasi Sistem Informasi Geografis.

This research study the distribution of hospitals in the province of Baghdad Using geographic information system to focus on the shortage of hospitals in specific regions in comparison with other regions. In the distribution of hospitals in the city of Baghdad using Arc GIS program, we noticed that there is a shortage in the number of hospitals in the city of Kadhimiya, Sadr city and other areas compared to the increase in the population in these areas. There are enough hospitals in the area of Andalus square.

This paper puts forward the composition of geospatial information and its definition. The author designed and implemented the attendance management system based on Micro-cellular and the geographic information system (GIS) technology. The function of the geographic information system (GIS) was achieved by transforming Japan Geographical Survey Institute's Digital Map 2,500 base plate data into G-XML data. The function of location information system was accomplished according to micro-cellular mobile terminal-in the GIS's Real-time positioning and tracks. At last, the attendance management system based on micro-cellular and GIS technology was implemented by comparing the work schedule with the mobile tracks of its related mobile handheld terminals.

The expansion of plantations of cocoa is the main component in the plantation revitalization program which is applied by the Government of Indonesia in order to optimize the potential of cocoa. This policy has not been implemented well in East Dusun District, East Barito Regency, Central Kalimantan province that just open cocoa plantations covering an area of 3 ha in the year 2016. The spatial analysis of land suitability by utilizing Geographic Information System capability that allows the expansion of plantations of cacao in this district. Spatial analysis to get the suitability of land for cocoa plantations uses overlay based on climate conditions and regulations of the Governor of Central Kalimantan. The proportion of land suitability class that is highly suitable, suitable, marginally suitable, and not suitable with each area size of 56,434.63 ha, 2,302.81 ha, not found, and 19,510.42 ha.   Keywords: Cocoa, Overlay, Land Suitability

QGIS is a free and open-source software that allows viewing, editing, and analyzing georeferenced data. It is a Geographic Information System (GIS) software composed by tools that allow to manipulate geographic information and consequently to create maps which help to get a better understanding and organization of geospatial data. Unfortunately, maps created directly in the GIS desktop software are not automatically transferred to a website. This research aimed to compare publishing capabilities in different QGIS plugins to create Web Maps. This study analyzes four QGIS plugins (QGIS2Web, QGIS Cloud, GIS Cloud Publisher and Mappia Publisher), performing a comparison between them, considering their advantages and disadvantages, the free and subscription plans, the tools offered by each plugin and other generic aspects. The four plugins were tested in a specific case study to automatically obtain different Web Maps. This study could help users to choose the most adequate tools to publish Web Maps under QGIS software.
