One of the anticipation actions that can be done before the flood disaster comes is to determine the evacuation route and evacuation location or shelter for flood relief and spread to the public in order to accelerate the process of evacuation of disaster victims so as to minimize losses from the flood itself. This research was conducted by approaching Geographic Information System (SIG) The purpose of this research is (1) Knowing the flood-prone agihan in Laweyan Subdistrict based on SIG. (2) Analyze the Availability of Shelter Locations (Educational Buildings and Buildings of Worship) of flood victims in Laweyan Subdistrict. It is expected that in the research to know the potential of the best temporary evacuation shelter / protection and evacuation design so that it can be considered and help the relevant agencies, especially local BPBD in order to improve flood mitigation in Sumber Village, Banjarsari District, Surakarta City. To reduce or overcome the impact caused by flood disasters on the comfort and safety of the community in Laweyan Subdistrict, researchers need to raise the title, " Determination of Flood Victim Shelter in Lawean District of Surakarta City Based on Geographic Information System".

Population increased has consequences for the economic development of land demands for agriculture, settlement and other infrastructure. This resulted the change of area land cover which impact on the climate change and decline the environmental quality. Therefore, it is necessary to improve the environment through the land rehabilitation activities. The analysis of land cover change is needed as the first step to identify areas targeted by the land rehabilitation. Geographic information system is used as a spatial based on the appropriate determination of rehabilitation activities

Jember regency has several areas that are morphology of folding hills and mountain folds. The part of landslide prone zone is closely related to the slope of the slope. Areas with a sloping slope of more than 15º need attention to the possibility of a landslide disaster. Interconnection contacts with weathering of rocks, settlements and land cover also affect the landslide potential. The existence of Ijen Volcano that produces volcanic rock deposits that are generally not yet unified will increase the potential for landslides in Jember Regency. Landslide has occurred one of them on Gunung Gumitir Street which is the main route of Surabaya-Jember-Banyuwangi traffic. In May 2016 this street is hit by landslide, so the flow of traffic through this lane is paralyzed and must be diverted to a further path, which rotates to Situbondo City. The transfer of this pathway resulted in a loss to the local community and who crossed the path. The occurrence of landslide disaster shows that Jember Regency area is vulnerable and potentially return to landslide. Therefore there is a need for a solution to solve this problem. One solution to solve the problem is by utilizing Geographic Information System (GIS) application. The purpose of this research is to analyze zonation prone to landslide in jember district. The design of the research is Geographic Information System overlay analysis. This design combines several parameters in the determination of landslide-prone zones. This design combines several parameters in the determination of landslide-prone zones. The parameter used in this research is (1) land use, (2) topography, and (3) soil.Based on the research results, it can be known zone with highest to lowest vulnerability level. Zone with very high level of vulnerability is located in Panti sub-district, Sumberbaru, Sukorambi, Dyke, Silo and Jelbuk. The zones have similar characteristics that include (1) soil type of andosol, (2) clay texture, (3) uncompacted rock, (4) slope of 30⁰-40⁰ (steep and very steep), and (5) land use for settlements and plantations. The potential of freshwater aquaculture area in South Aceh has not been optimally pursued; this is due to the limited technological and information capabilities, institutions and funding. The purpose of this study was to map the suitability of freshwater aquaculture land by utilizing the Geographic Information System (GIS) and multi criteria analysis in South Aceh. Determination of land suitability is done through the Multi Criteria Evaluation (MCE) and application of Geographic Information Systems (GIS). The results of the analysis show that the appropriate location (S1) is 81.55% (of the total area sample area) and the location which is not suitable is 18.45% (of the total area sample area). This indicates that the coastal areas of South Aceh have potential freshwater aquaculture areas.

Diversity of natural climatic conditions in Central Asia leads to the mass development and spread of cross-border pests, especially locusts, in these provinces. This requires monitoring studies to determine the species composition of endangered locusts that migrate from one state to another in transboundary areas and among them the most major pest species that pose a threat to agricultural crops. Therefore, this article identifies the species composition of locusts found in the border areas of Uzbekistan with neighboring republics of Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan and Turkmenistan, including harmful species. The results of the use of geographic information system (GIS) technologies in monitoring the spread of locusts in the cross-border areas of Surkhandarya, Kashkadarya, Jizzakh and Namangan provinces are presented.

The development of industry and the increase of transportation mode are directly proportional to the decrease in air quality. Some important pollutants have a negative impact on human health and the environment such as nitrogen dioxide (NO2) and ozone (O3). Distribution of NO2 and O3 concentrations from various sources of emissions in urban areas will provide basic information in the determination of policies, programs and regulations related to air pollution control. This study aims to map and analyze the concentration distribution of NO2 and O3 pollutants in Medan City. This research was conducted by a manual sampling of NO2 and O3 at 12 (twelve) points in Medan City. The sampling of NO2 and O3 concentrations is using impinger and then analyzed in a laboratory. The results showed that NO2 pollutant concentration in Medan City ranged from 21.33-306.19 |ig/m3. Meanwhile, for O3 concentrations ranged from 19.7-205.8 |ig/m3. Mapping of NO2 and O3 concentration using Geographic Information System obtained area that has the highest concentration of both NO2 and O3 is in Sub District of Medan Belawan. Furthermore, efforts to control air pollution can be done by applying clean technology to industry and encouraging the use of mass transportation.
