This study reports an organic salt prepared from an antibacterial drug, levofloxacin and antioxidant γ-resorcylic acid. A simple preparation method leads to a crystal with disordered structure. The idea is to prepare an organic salt comprising of pharmaceutically acceptable acidic and basic components. The salt is characterised by IR, solid state NMR, and single crystal XRD. Crystal data for C25H26N3O8F: triclinic, space group P-1 (no. 2), a = 7.0037(8) Å, b = 12.764(3) Å, c = 13.909(3) Å, α = 104.821(4)°, β = 92.039(4)°, γ = 95.334(4)°, V = 1194.6(4) Å3, Z = 2, T = 296(2) K, μ(MoKα) = 0.113 mm-1, Dcalc = 1.433 g/cm3, 16879 reflections measured (5.048° ≤ 2Θ ≤ 54.186°), 5139 unique (Rint = 0.0663, Rsigma = 0.0975) which were used in all calculations. The final R1 was 0.1121 (I>2σ(I)) and wR2 was 0.2505 (all data). SC-XRD analysis shows that the crystal packing is stabilized by strong H-bonding of type N-H···O and comparatively weak interactions of type C-H···O, C-H···π and off-set π···π stacking.

In the title compound, C28H32O2, the oxanone ring adopts distorted half-boat conformation with the following Cremer and Pople puckering parameters:Q= 0.619 (2) Å,θ= 0.75 (19) andφ= 172 (13)°. The dihedral angle betwen two benzene rings is 21.32 (7)°. The adamantane unit consists of three fused cyclohexane rings in classical chair conformations, with absolute values of C—C—C—C torsion angles in the range 57.5 (2)–60.9 (2)°. Weak interactions of the type C—H...O link molecules of each enantiomer into chains parallel to thebaxis and lying about inversion centers. The crystal packing is also stabilized by intermolecular π-π stacking interactions [centroid–centroid distance of 3.8566 (11) Å].

Recently with the increase in advanced age population, the osteoporosis becomes the object of public attention in the field of orthopedics. The surface topography of the bone by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) is one of the most useful means to study the bone metabolism, that is considered to make clear the mechanism of the osteoporosis. Until today many specimen preparation methods for SEM have been reported. They are roughly classified into two; the anorganic preparation and the simple preparation. The former is suitable for observing mineralization, but has the demerit that the real surface of the bone can not be observed and, moreover, the samples prepared by this method are extremely fragile especially in the case of osteoporosis. On the other hand, the latter has the merit that the real information of the bone surface can be obtained, though it is difficult to recognize the functional situation of the bone.

In the development of cancer chemotherapy, besides the discovery of new anticancer drugs, a variety of nanocarrier systems for the delivery of previously developed and new chemotherapeutic drugs have currently been explored. Liposome is one of the most studied nanocarrier systems because of its biodegradability, simple preparation method, high efficacy and low toxicity. To make the best use of this vehicle, a number of multifunctionalized liposomal formulations have been investigated. The objective of this review is to summarize the current development of novel active targeting liposomal formulations, and to give insight into the challenges and future direction of the field. The recent studies in active targeting liposomes suggest the great potential of precise targeted anticancer drug delivery in cancer therapeutics.
