ABSTRACT This article discusses the problem about binding and loosing prayer or deliverance prayer in its popular term.  For the proponent, this concept, binding and loosing prayer is considered the important part in spiritual warfare that had to be practiced every day.  Whereas the group who refuse assume this kind of prayer is arisen more from experience than the thorough biblical exegesis.  This article will discuss the controversy about this binding and loose prayer and then examine the biblical verses that use to be basic for this prayer for answer the main question, to what extent the authority that believer has in spiritual warfare. Abstrak Tulisan ini membahas problematika seputar doa mengikat dan melepaskan (binding and loosing prayer) atau yang juga populer dengan sebutan doa pelepasan.  Bagi kalangan yang menganjurkannya, doa ini dianggap merupakan bagian penting dalam peperangan rohani yang harus dilakukan orang percaya setiap hari.  Sedangkan bagi mereka yang menolaknya, doa ini lebih didasarkan pada pengalaman daripada penafsiran yang benar terhadap Alkitab.  Tulisan ini akan membahas pro dan kontra tersebut kemudian menelaah ayat-ayat Alkitab yang biasanya dipakai untuk membenarkan praktik ini untuk kemudian menjawab pertanyaan utama: sejauh mana otoritas orang percaya dalam peperangan rohani.

What institute to choose is the main question of young people and their parents. As many investigations have shown, the main quality signal for the universities is the level of professors’ research. Meno belongs to the earlier dialogues of Plato. This dialogue deals with the concept of virtue and the recollective argument for the immortality of the soul. The main question  of the Meno is whether virtue can be taught or not. Plato’s Socrates presents  this concept by demonstrating the example of the slave boy. In this dialogue, Plato’s Socrates tries to connect the concept of Virtue and knowledge with the concept of soul.

The concept of gender has been the battleground of scientific and political speculations for a long time. On the one hand, some accounts contended that gender is a biological feature, while on the other hand some scholars maintained that gender is a socio-cultural construct (e.g., Butler, 1990; Risman, 2004). Some of the questions that animated the debate on gender over history are: how many genders are there? Is gender rooted in our biological asset? Are gender and sex the same thing? All of these questions entwine one more crucial, and often overlooked interrogative. How is it possible for a concept to be the purview of so many disagreements and conceptual redefinitions? The question that this paper addresses is therefore not which specific account of gender is preferable. Rather, the main question we will address is how and why is even possible to disagree on how gender should be considered. To provide partial answers to these questions, we suggest that gender/sex (van Anders, 2015; Fausto-Sterling, 2019) is an illustrative example of politicized concepts. We show that no concepts are political in themselves; instead, some concepts are subjected to a process involving a progressive detachment from their supposed concrete referent (i.e., abstractness), a tension to generalizability (i.e., abstraction), a partial indeterminacy (i.e., vagueness), and the possibility of being contested (i.e., contestability). All of these features differentially contribute to what we call the politicization of a concept. In short, we will claim that in order to politicize a concept, a possible strategy is to evidence its more abstract facets, without denying its more embodied and perceptual components (Borghi et al., 2019). So, we will first outline how gender has been treated in psychological and philosophical discussions, to evidence its essentially contestable character thereby showing how it became a politicized concept. Then we will review some of the most influential accounts of political concepts, arguing that currently they need to be integrated with more sophisticated distinctions (e.g., Koselleck, 2004). The notions gained from the analyses of some of the most important accounts of political concepts in social sciences and philosophy will allow us to implement a more dynamic approach to political concepts. Specifically, when translated into the cognitive science framework, these reflections will help us clarifying some crucial aspects of the nature of politicized concepts. Bridging together social and cognitive sciences, we will show how politicized concepts are abstract concepts, or better abstract conceptualizations.

Трактат 1 из сборника «Амфилохии» св. патр. Фотия на примере истолкования конкретных мест из Библии объясняет методологию библейской экзегезы вообще. Во внимание должен приниматься не только богословский или исторический контекст, но также чисто филологические аспекты: семантика, интонация, языковой узус Нового Завета и Септуагинты, возможные разночтения и т. д. Патриарх убеждён, что при правильном пользовании этим инструментарием можно объяснить все кажущиеся противоречащими высказывания Св. Писания таким образом, что они окажутся в полном согласии друг с другом. The first treatise from «Amphilochia» by the St. Patriarch Photios expounds the general principles of the biblical exegesis on a specific example of certain passages from the Bible. It is not just the theological or historical context that has to be taken into consideration, but also purely philological aspects, such as semantics, intonation, the language usage of the New Testament and Septuagint, possible variant readings etc. The Patriarch is convinced, that the correct application of these tools makes it possible to perfectly harmonize all seemingly contradictory statements of the Scriptures.

The main question regarding the use of pedagogical translation in schools has now shifted from the if-question to the how-question, especially given the challenges posed by the increasing worldwide migration. Pedagogical translation is recognized today as an extensive social practice, and recent research is interested in how pedagogical translation can become more effective through novel types of translation, such as media translation. This chapter argues that pedagogical translation is a type of literacy and focuses on what pedagogical translation, notably both the interlingual and the intralingual types, can afford in mixed classrooms in terms of the main methodological approaches used. It also examines how these two types of translation can best be integrated in various types of school curricula with the aim to serve the specific needs of mixed classrooms and the idea of educating emergent bilinguals.
