Segara Anakan is a lagoon located in estuary area of Citanduy and Cibeureum rivers. The main problem that exists in the region Segara Anakan is a shrinking area of Segara Anakan lead lagoon function becomes ineffective due to the increased volume of sediment in estuaries Citanduy. Refinement Segara Anakan will impact annual floods that occurred in the area downstream Citanduy. Have far-reaching is the decline in fish production, which makes the source of livelihood for the community residents of Kampung Laut, furthermore, the environmental changes that occurred in the area Segara Anakan have resulted in shrinking coastal fisheries resources and the expansion of land arising from silting. Assessment of the problem conducted by the method of approach of Analytical Hierarchy Process(AHP) to obtain the best alternatives among three alternatives being offered to sustain the function of Segara Anakan Lagoon. These three alternatives include the 1) Dredging the Lagoon and Upstream Watershed Conservation; 2) Dredging the Lagoon and Reclamation Work around Segara Anakan, and 3) Dredging the Lagoon and Citanduy Diversion. Some criteria and sub-criteria are adapted to support the selection of the alternatives and related questionnaires were developed, and the questionnaire filling was carried out through the implementation of Focus Group of Discussion or FGD. The criteria include several aspects of the criteria and sub-criteria are technical (floods, silting), socioeconomic (the tourist area, the local economy), as well as the environment (fisheries/shipping, agriculture and mangrove forests). Results of the analysis applying the AHP method showed the consistent value on the Alternative 3), i.e. the Dredging of the Lagoon and the Upstream Watershed Conservation (38%).

This study aims to be able to provide recommendations in the decision-making system related to the best lecturers at the Jakarta Chapter of the Indonesian Management Lecturer Forum. It is hoped that the research results can be used as input in the Best Lecturer decision making system with a more systematic system. This research was conducted through interviews, questionnaires and literature study related to the Lecturer profession. In the field, the assessment criteria are still rough, therefore this study must include all the criteria into the mechanism, rules, and codes. Analysis, each criterion is analyzed using the AHP (Analytical Hierarchy Process) method in weighting. The cumulative results of the recapitulation of scores show that teaching is still a top priority in the implementation of the Tridaharma of Lecturers, after that the second priority is research, then community service and finally support in the form of participation in supporting activities and scientific development.

Private companies, government agencies and educational institutions are still experiencing difficulties in selecting employees / employees who are in accordance with their needs and experts in their respective fields. With the increasing number of workers who have different abilities, recruiting new employees requires selection of prospective employees at Ekasakti University, because if this is done manually, it will make it difficult for the staff to receive and also be prone to mistakes in decision making. The decision making system method (Decisions Support System) can be used to help the selection of new employee recipients with the AHP Method. Selection of new employee admissions by the AHP (Analytical Hierarchy Process) method can help solve the case of selecting employee recruitment. The model of applying dynamic logic applied in the AHP (Analytical Hierarchy Process) has the advantage that the selection process provides very flexible results

PurposeThe purpose of this paper is to develop criteria for project manager selection based on desired skills of a project manager and facilitate the selection of a suitable candidate from a pool of potential candidates for the implementation of projects in the Indian context.Design/methodology/approachThe study utilizes three major skills, namely human skill, conceptual and organizational skills; technical skill along with their sub-skills to develop criteria for project manager selection. Based on the responses of project professionals from industry, the study uses analytical hierarchy process to prioritize and identify the relative importance of different skills in the criteria in order to develop a hierarchical structure for project manager selection.FindingsThe study finds that at the first level of project manager selection criteria, conceptual and organizational skills are the most important selection criteria followed by human skills and technical skills. At the second level of project manager selection criteria, planning, delegating authority and understanding methods, processes, and procedures are some of the important sub-selection criteria. The weights indicating the relative importance of major selection criteria and sub-selection criteria can be used to evaluate the relative weight of a given candidate for selection as a project manager.Research limitations/implicationsThe results in this study are derived from specific demographic conditions in India. Future research with larger samples from other countries is needed for generalizations of the proposed criteria.Practical implicationsThe proposed method quantifies the intangible qualitative criteria to select a project manager, which can aid decision-makers in a multi-criteria decision-making environment.Originality/valueThis research paper is focused on the identification of critical skills for the selection of a project manager, which is almost neglected by the researchers.
