The Vibrio is the most common genera with crustaceans often causing various diseases in Aquaculture and significant economic losses. Many Vibrio species are pathogenic to human and have been implicated in food borne diseases. The present study was carried out, the isolation and identification of pathogenic bacterial flora were isolated from infected in hepatopancreas of vannamei. The SPDS Oceanic farm, RS Aqua farm of and Valli vilas Aqua farm Vellar estuary, Cuddalore District, Tamil Nadu, during the period of (September 2013 to November 2013). The collected samples were plated on TCBS- (Thiosulfate-Citrate-Bile salt-Sucrose) agar medium. The present study, totally 253 green colonies were isolated from TCBS agar plates and among these, 175colonies were identified by using the biochemical tests showed the V. parahaemolyticus, V. mimicus, V. vulnificus, V.damsela and P.shigelloides. The maximum species was recorded in V.parahaemolyticus (83.4 %) and minimum was observed in V.mimicus (1.7 %).

Introduction: By increasing the amount and diversity of bio-environmental wastewater pollutants, it is essential to be controlled and planed the environmental contaminants to eliminate or minimize. Cardboard recycling industry wastewater has the potential of environmental pollution; it is contaminated with various fungal species that may be effective in the decomposition and removal of pollutants. The aim of this study was the isolation and identification of native fungal species that decontaminate organic pollutants in the cardboard recycling industry wastewaters. Methods: In this study, which is a descriptive study, samples were randomly taken from different area of wastewater of cardboard recycling industry. Samples were cultured on Saboraud dextrose agar medium for isolation of probable fungal species, which decomposers of wastewater. The isolated fungal colonies were enumerated and purified based on morphological characteristics and microscopic analyzing as far as possible. Results: The average count of the total number of fungi species in wastewater of cardboard recycling industry was 2.5×102 CFU/ml of these 2.1×101 were saprophytic fungi. The most prevalent fungal species were identificated from the wastewater include Aspergillus niger, Aspergillus flavus, Penicillum, Geotrichum, Mucor, Drechselera, Paecillomyces, Alternaria, Fusarium and Absidia. The highest frequency of fungal species Aspergillus nige, Aspergillus flavus and Penicillum were 30.89%, 22.76% and 14.63% respectively. Conclusion: It seems that native fungi isolated from the cardboard recycling industry wastewater in this study are from fungi that have the potential for bioremediation of wastewater contaminants based on scientific literature and can be used for evaluating of their ability to decompose wastewater from this industry.

Diabetic foot ulcers are still a problem for the health care system and are majorly influencing quality of life. Infected foot ulcer is one of the most feared complications of diabetes mellitus, leading to gangrene and it needs to be amputed. Diabetic foot lesions are major medical, social and economic problem and leading cause of hospitalization for patients with diabetes worldwide. The risk of a diabetic patient for developing a foot ulcer was estimated to be ~25%. Samples were collected from 65 infected patients of diabetic foot ulcer male and female. The mean age group was found to be 40-80 years with the clinical history such as age, sex, types of diabetes duration of diabetes, size of ulcer and duration of ulcer were observed and recorded. The Specific mediums were used for the isolation and identification using classical methods based on their morphology, Grams stain reaction, oxidase and catalase tests were performed to confirm the isolates were both gram-negative and gram-positive organisms Bergey’s manual of Determinative Bacteriology. Further, MALDI- TOF (Matrix-Assisted Laser Desorption/Ionization) was used to confirm the isolates identified in classical methods were Staphylococci (79%) and Pseudomonas (21%) In this study Among 68 isolates, identified in out of 41 isolates Pseudomonasaeruginosa (21%) Staphylococcus aureus (54%) Staphylococcus hominis (20%)and Staphylococcous hemolytic(5%). Although in gram positive organism Staphylococcus aureus (54%) was the most predominant isolate found in diabetic foot ulcer.

Prevalence of Vibrio spp. with special reference to Vibrio parahaemolyticus (Vp) infection was assessed in Penaeus vannamei farms in Kancheepuram and Thiruvallur districts of Tamil Nadu during the period August 2014 to February 2015. Isolation and identification of bacteria from haemolymph, stomach and hepatopancreas of P. vannamei was done from all the farms for the prevalence of Vp infection. Based on the morphological, physiological and biochemical characterisation, 74 isolates were identified as Vp (35.14%), V. harveyi (21.62%), V. anguillarum (16.22%), V. campbellii (10.81%), V. mimicus (8.11%), V. alginolyticus (5.41%) and Pseudomonas aeruginosa (2.7%). The PCR results showed that there were 26 (35.14%) isolates positive for Vp specific toxR and tlh genes and negative for human pathogenic tdh and trh genes. All isolates were also negative for acute hepatopancreatic necrosis disease (AHPND) specific AP1, AP2, AP3 (pirAvp) and AP4 (pirAvp and pirBvp) genes. The study revealed that there was no AHPND causing Vp strain in farmed P. vannamei from two important coastal districts of Tamil Nadu, India.
