The comprehensive study of transverse magnetoresistance (MR) and magnetization has been carried out on the high quality single crystals of PrB6 in the wide range of temperatures 2-40K and magnetic fields up to 80kOe. In order to estimate the role of boron vacancies in the formation of the new spin-glass (SG) phase detected by Alekseev et al. below 20K the experiments were carried out on the ordinary (initial state) and annealed single crystals of PrB6. The data obtained demonstrate the appearance of spontaneous magnetization below TSG21.3K with M~1.6 emu/mol for initial state and the absence of spontaneous magnetization for the annealed PrB6 samples. On the contrary, quite similar behavior of MR was detected for various samples of PrB6. Our results suggest the existence of the aggregated boron vacancies which provoke the new SG phase formation in PrB6 at TSG.

This paper studies the anatomical construction and physical-mechanical properties of Dalbergia sissoo Roxb introduced from Nepal planting in Yuan Jiang in Yunnan Province. Results indicated: Dalbergia sissoo is diffuse-porous wood and the form of its fiber is even with an average length of 1.43mm。The micro fibril angle is 12.24°.The air-dried and profile density are respectively 0.746 g/cm3 and 0.634 g/cm3, which are normal. The air-dried and oven-dried of variance shrinkage are 1.75 and 1.55 respectively. The comprehensive quality coefficient of Dalbergia sissoo is 2309×105 Pa, which is a high quality wood for higher level material. The comprehensive study shows that human breeding Dalbergia sissoo owns elevating quality.

It is widely acknowledged that high-quality leadership is one of the main ingredients of successful schools and that leaders have a significant and positive impact on student outcomes. At the same time, little is known about how principals use their time, what they do on a day-to-day basis and how this may vary across schools. A review of the relevant literature shows that few studies have used qualitative methods as their sole form of data collection. The paper draws on data derived from a comprehensive study involving principals, other school leaders and teachers in the Italian northern region of Trento. It focuses on observation studies of eight principals over five consecutive days each. Whilst respecting the best-known ethnographic and observational studies conducted internationally, we have built a new observational classification tool which explored the work of the principals under different categories/activities. This study shows that in spite of working in a highly-centralised and prescribed context, the Italian principals carried out various acts of leadership in the way they engaged with the different categories of their work. The findings provide evidence that expresses similarities across the eight principals and unique ways of how they were leading their schools.

ABSTRACTThe mechanism for the precipitation of multilayer graphene was investigated with respect to the use of an Al2O3 barrier layer and Au capping layer. The Al2O3 barrier layer suppresses the dissolution of carbon into the catalyst, especially at low temperature, and assists a decrease in the density of graphene nuclei. On the other hand, the Au capping layer is beneficial to weaken the strong binding between the catalyst and the graphene carbon atoms, and enhances the surface migration of precipitated carbon adatoms. A combination of the Al2O3 barrier layer and Au capping layer is useful for the synthesis of high-quality graphene with large grains. On a sample with both layers annealed for 60 min, the area of 5-layer graphene islands is as large as 10 μm, and covers 60% of the entire surface. The Raman D/G band intensity ratio of 0.024 indicates the precipitated graphene is high quality.

The comprehensive study of low temperature magnetoresistance (MR) has been carried out on high quality PrB6 and NdB6 single crystals at temperatures 2–20K and in magnetic fields up to 8T. The negative MR (Δρ/ρ<0) was found in the paramagnetic state at T>TN for both compounds. The analysis of the experimental data allows us to establish three contributions to MR. In addition to the main Brillouin type negative component –Δρ/ρ~Mloc2~H2 which may be interpreted in terms of Yosida theory [Phys. Rev. 107 (1957) 396] both the linear and nonlinear magnetic contributions were also deduced. According to detailed analysis in the framework of spin–polaron approach proposed by A.V. Bogach et al. [Physica B 378–380 (1957) 769] the last component should be ascribed to the ferromagnetic (FM) nanodomains embedded in the metallic RB6 matrix. The estimation of local magnetic susceptibility χloc=(–1/H•(d(Δρ/ρ)/dH))1/2 is deduced directly from the quadratic part of negative MR and reveals Curie–Weiss type behaviour in paramagnetic (PM) phase with paramagnetic Curie temperatures Θp~– 22K and –31K for PrB6 and NdB6 correspondingly. The results of undertaken analysis allow to conclude in favour of the concurrence between AF and FM iteractions as the main reason of incommensurate (IC) magnetic structure formation in RB6.
