Ritu means season, and Charya is ritual. Ayurveda tells about following the practices mentioned by our Acharyas to balance the health in each Ritu. Ritucharya gives us knowledge about apt diet regimens to cope with the influences caused by seasonal changes. To keep the nutritional status of both body and mind, we need to follow the regimens told in Ayurveda. The objective is to gather information about the Hitakara and Ahitakara Ahara and Vihara mentioned in Greeshma Ritu by our Acharya’s and its application for a healthier lifestyle. In Greeshma ritu, Sunrays become more powerful, which dries up the Sneha Guna of Bhoomi as well as Shareera, Kapha slowly decreases and gradually Vata starts increasing, Bala of the person will be significantly less in this Ritu; therefore, one should avoid Ahita Ahara Vihara sevana and adopt Hitakara Ahara Vihara sevana. The body's adjustment to cope with seasonal changes by following the rituals mentioned in Ritucharya is very important; thus, we can maintain the Equilibrium state of health.

A recent international definition of under-nutrition or malnutrition has been given by the WHO. Mal-nutrition means ‘badly nourished’ but it is more than a measure of what we eat, or fail to eat. Clinically, malnutrition is characterized by inadequate intake of protein, energy, and micronutri-ents and by susceptibility to infection or disease. Nutritional status is the result of the complex interaction between the food we eat, our overall state of health, and the environment in which we live – in short, food, health and caring are the three ‘pillars of well-being’.

This experiment was conducted in Cacak (Western Serbia) during 2004 and 2005 to determine the influence of Belosljiva, Dragacevka, Stanley, Kolenstockzwetsche, Wangenheim, Pozegaca, and Kapavac interstocks budded on Myrobalan seedlings on the seasonal changes, leaf macronutrient contents at 120 days after full bloom (DAFB) and deviation from optimum percentage (DOP) of Vera apricot cultivars. The macronutrients analyzed were N, P, K, Ca, and Mg. Nitrogen was consistently decreased during the vegetative cycle on all interstocks, while leaf P, Ca, and Mg had a tendency of increasing, except P on Kapavac. Potassium had a tendency to increase from 60 to 150 AFB, and decreased through 180 DAFB. Leaf N at 120 DAFB was higher in 2005, and P, K, Ca, and Mg in 2004 on all interstocks. Leaf macronutrients were significantly influenced by interstocks, except K. On the basis of DOP index, leaf N, Ca, and Mg were lower than optimum on all interstocks in both years. Leaf P and K were higher than optimum. Stanley and Wangenheim showed the weakest balanced nutritional values than the rest of interstocks.

Abstract The experiment was carried out in the years 2002-2004. Its aim was the determination of the tendencies in the microelement nutritional status of the standard cultivars of Anthurium cultorum Birdsey (‘Baron’, ‘Choco’, ‘Midori’, ‘Pistache’, ‘President’, ‘Tropical’ from Anthura B.V.) in the autumn-winter and spring-summer vegetation periods. The plants were cultivated in expanded clay using a drop fertigation system with standard nutrition. A significant influence of the vegetation periods and the light conditions associated with them was found to be exerted on the microelement plant nutrition. In the autumn-winter period, characterized by light deficit, the plant age significantly modified the nutrition (increase or decrease of content with a plant’s aging) with regard to zinc (-23.7%), copper (-25.8%) and boron (+25%), while in the spring-summer period, iron (+12.9%) and copper (-21.7%) nutrition was modified. During the three years of the study, the autumnwinter period showed a significant increase of iron content (+9.8%) with a simultaneous decrease of copper content (-6.5%), in comparison with the springsummer period. The awareness of the cyclical nature of the changes in the nutritional status of plants, depending on the given vegetation season, supplies a valuable instrument in the interpretation of plant analyses for diagnostic purposes.

Nutritional status is the state of health of an individual or group that is determined by the degree of physical need for energy and other nutrients obtained from food and food whose physical impact is set anthropometrically. A person who has a good nutritional status will grow and develop well and healthy, if a person is healthy he will certainly carry out his daily tasks well, good nutritional status is also an important requirement in achieving optimal health, not only marked by the appearance good but also mental and emotional. High and low nutritional status of a person is determined by the intake of food consumed, good nutritional intake is set according to predetermined standards. A good coach will always pay attention to the athlete's condition from all aspects, one of which is from the nutritional aspect. However, not all trainers understand how to regulate balanced nutrition for athletes. That is why there is a need for balanced nutrition management training for trainers which later is expected to be used for athlete nutrition regulation.
