The paper proposes a new risk-oriented approach to the implementation of control and supervision activities in the field of regional environmental control. The issues of building a simulation model of oil spill risks assessment, implemented in the form of a digital mapof the region based on a combination of clustering methods and spatial data analysis are considered. The analysis is based on data on accidents at field oil pipelines in the license areas of Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug for the period from 2014 to 2020. The result of the analysis is a digital mappublished on the Internet with authorized access and reflecting 5 levels of risk for the districts of the study area.

Air pollution impacts all populations globally, indiscriminately and has site-specific variation and characteristics. Airborne particulate matter (PM) levels were monitored in a typical industrial Russian city, Chelyabinsk in three destinations, one characterized by high traffic volumes and two by industrial zone emissions. The mass concentration and trace metal content of PM2.5 and PM10 were obtained from samples collected during four distinct seasons of 2020. The mean 24-h PM10 ranged between 6 and 64 μg/m3. 24-h PM2.5 levels were reported from 5 to 56 μg/m3. About half of the 24-h PM10 and most of the PM2.5 values in Chelyabinsk were higher than the WHO recommendations. The mean PM2.5/PM10 ratio was measured at 0.85, indicative of anthropogenic input. To evaluate the Al, Fe, As, Cd, Co, Cr, Cu, Mn, Ni, Pb, and Zn concentration in PM2.5 and PM10, inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP-MS) was used. Fe (337–732 ng/m3) was the most abundant component in PM2.5 and PM10 samples while Zn (77–206 ng/m3), Mn (10–96 ng/m3), and Pb (11–41 ng/m3) had the highest concentrations among trace elements. Total non-carcinogenic risks for children were found higher than 1, indicating possible health hazards. This study also presents that the carcinogenic risk for As, Cr, Co, Cd, Ni, and Pb were observed higher than the acceptable limit (1 × 10−6).

The process describes an intelligent system creation designed for risk evaluation and management. The risk can be anthropogenic, natural, or social nature, and belong to territories of different scales. Complexity in structuring and collecting information about the state territorial security as well as different risks assessment methods necessitate the development of a modular multitask system. The information management system support model formalizes the problem area to justify the joint intelligent technologies use. Based on the model, system architecture has been developed. This architecture defines the composition, functionality, interaction interfaces, as well as the information resources organization, that were used to support management. Here is presented an intelligent system prototype operation result.

This study raises the issues of occupational risks and the new approaches to their assessment, improving research methods in this direction. The relevance of the stated subject is due to a wide variety of situations that arise in modern industries and have a high degree of risk for employees of enterprises. The purpose of this study is to determine new approaches to occupational risk assessment, as well as to study various aspects of improving production activities in the context of using new methods for assessing the degree of risks. The leading scientific method is a combination of analytical and logical approaches to the set of issues brought into the topic of this study. The main results of this study: identification of new, effective methods for assessing the degree of risks of occupational injuries and estimation of the level of occupational injuries at Ukrainian enterprises in 2020 and several previous years. Prospects for further study in this direction introduce methods for assessing the real level of occupational risks in the production sphere, in order to reduce the total number of situations associated with risk for workers of modern industrial enterprises that arise in the process of conducting work activities. The applied value of this study lies in the possibility of the subsequent practical application of the obtained results, in order to form the basis for the safe implementation of professional activities by employees of enterprises and organizations operating in various spheres of the economy, industry, and production. Identification of various aspects of occupational risks assessment in various areas contributes to the elimination of such risks and prevents their occurrence in the future.
