Pressure ulcer (PU), also called pressure injury, is localized damage to the skin and underlying soft tissues, usually over bony prominences, as a result of sustained mechanical loads applied to the tissues. However, in many situations, complete off-loading of sacral PUs is not possible. Minimising the exposure of wounds and their surroundings to elevated mechanical loads is crucial for healing. We for the first time reported the application of Meipicang in the prevention and treatment of intraoperative pressure ulcers in elderly ICU patients with severe illness. We found that the pressure ulcer risk score ( 20.15 ± 2.17 ) in the dressing group after intervention was higher than that ( 17.42 ± 3.62 ) in the regular group. The incidence of pressure sores in the dressing group was 3.77% lower than the 18.88% in the regular group. The psychological concern score ( 31.41 ± 3.15 ) of the dressing group was higher than that ( 26.92 ± 3.43 ) of the regular group. The trust score ( 29.57 ± 2.61 ) of the dressing group was higher than the score ( 24.28 ± 2.29 ) of the regular group. The score of physiological problems in the dressing group ( 34.69 ± 3.82 ) is higher than that in the regular group ( 29.88 ± 3.54 ). The skin complication rate of the dressing group was 5.56% lower than that of the regular group (22.64%). The comfort score (92.46 ± 4.15) of the dressing group was higher than that ( 80.59 ± 5.43 ) of the regular group. The nursing satisfaction score ( 94.53 ± 3.72 ) of the dressing group was higher than that ( 81.79 ± 4.61 ) of the regular group. To conclude, in this study, we found that the Meipicang dressing can reduce the incidence of pressure ulcers in ICU patients with severe ICU and improve the comfort and nursing satisfaction of elderly ICU patients with severe ICU, which is worthy of promotion.

Background: Cutaneous cysts are the most common lesions encountered in surgical practice withcosmetic and psychological concern to the patient. Aim: To establish the clinicopathologicalcorrelation of these lesions and also the importance of histological evaluation for the prevention ofmisdiagnosing a benign-appearing malignant lesion. Methods: A retrospective descriptive studywith data collected from archives of histopathology from January 2018 to December 2020 ofclinically diagnosed cutaneous cyst along with age, gender, location and histopathological evaluationwere analysed. Results: 88 cases that were clinically diagnosed as cutaneous cysts had a higherfemale proportion 52.3%. The most common clinical diagnosis is epidermal/ sebaceous cyst. 35.2%of cases were clinically diagnosed accurately but 64.8% of cases did not correlate with clinicaldiagnosis. 4 malignant lesions were misdiagnosed as benign cutaneous cyst clinically. Conclusion:Most often clinically diagnosed cutaneous cysts are not sent for histopathological evaluation which isa very important tool to confirm the diagnosis.

Background: Single-suture craniosynostosis (SSC) can be associated with neurodevelopmental deficits. We examined the correlation between morphologic severity and incidence of speech-language or psychological concerns. Methods: In 62 patients (33 sagittal, 17 metopic, and 12 unicoronal), morphologic severity was determined via preoperative computed tomography (CT). Severity metrics for sagittal, metopic, and unicoronal synostosis were adjusted cephalic index (aCI), interfrontal angle (IFA), and anterior cranial fossa area ratio (ACFR), respectively. Speech-language and psychological concerns were assessed at age ≥4.5 years and defined as recommendation for therapy or monitoring. Results: Mean assessment age was 5.7 years; 32% had a speech-language concern and 44% had a psychological concern; 44% had neither. Sagittal: Mean aCI of those with a speech-language concern (0.62) and those without (0.62) were equivalent ( P = .580), as were mean aCI of those with a psychological concern (0.62) and those without (0.62; P = .572). Metopic: Mean IFA with (117.9) and without (125.2) a speech-language concern were equivalent ( P = .326), as were mean IFA with (120.2) and without (123.2) a psychological concern ( P = .711). Unicoronal: Mean ACFR with (0.65) and without (0.69) a psychological concern ( P = .423) were equivalent. However, mean ACFR with (0.74) and without (0.63) a speech-language concern were not ( P = .022*). Bivariate rank correlation showed significant association between morphologic severity and speech-language score only for unicoronal synostosis (ρ = .722; P = .008*). Conclusion: A significant portion of patients with SSC had speech-language or psychological concerns. We found no correlation between morphologic severity and incidence of speech-language or psychological concerns for patients with sagittal or metopic synostosis. Morphological severity did correlate with speech concerns in patients with unicoronal synostosis.

Introduction: Psychological aspects are important issues in patients that will have significant effects on disease progression. A new and important psychological concern is self-blame. This review was performed with the aim of systematic review on studies around patient’s self-blame.Methods: This is a systematic review using international databases including PubMed (since 1950), Scopus (since 2004), Web of Sciences (since 1900), and ProQuest (since 1938) and Iranian databases including SID (since 2004) and Magiran (since 2001). Mesh terms including “patient,” “regret,” and “guilt” and non-Mesh terms including “self-blame attribution,” “characterological self-blame,” “behavioral self-blame,” and “blame” were used in Iranian and international databases with OR and AND operators. Results: The review yielded 59 articles; 15 articles were included in the present study. The ages of patients ranged from 29-68.4 years. Most of studies (86.6%) had cross-sectional design and use characterological self-blame and behavioral self-blame variables for assessing self-blame attributions. The results showed that in most studies, a significant relationship among self-blame and psychological distress, anxiety, and depression were reported. Conclusion: A significant relation was reported between self-blaming and the degree of distress, anxiety, and depression in patients in most of the studies.

Using electricity and fuel oil might have some negative impact towards the national economy and the environment. Psychological scale for measuring awareness of energy usage has never been tested before. The main purpose of this study is to construct psychological scale for measuring energy usage. The concept of Amburgey (2012) has been used to describe of psychological concern that are perceived threat and desired change. Perceived threat is an evaluation of a person to a problem and desired change is one’s willingness to resolve that problem. Four hundred-thirty eight students were enrolled in this study with a mean of age 21 years old. The results of content item validation show that one item from perceived threat’s subscale has value of Aiken (V) less than .50 and all of items from desired change’s subscale have V value greater than .50. Result from item’s discrimination process show that 40% items from perceived threat’s subscale has low of discrimination power and desired change’s sub scale has 31%. Alpha value for perceived threat’s subscales is .76 and desired change’s sub scale is .78. The concern for energy usage scale has poor model fit.

Jean Barbeyrac was dismayed by the intrusion of theological controversy into the study of modern natural law theory. Yet the longest of the many annotations that he included in his own edition of Grotius was concerned with a theological matter. In this footnote, Barbeyrac attacked Grotius's understanding of Christian ethics as supererogatory; that is, as containing a distinction between the dictates of duty and the counsels of a higher holiness or perfection. The heart of his objection to this view was that it had pernicious psychological effects, that it fostered bigotry and immorality. He reiterated this psychological concern in his later work on the Christian Fathers. This objection to the real-world damages caused by the theory of supererogation was closely linked to his fear of skepticism and his quarrel with Bayle. Barbeyrac's rejection of supererogation also places him within an important strand of early modern thinking about the moral psychology of religion and about the ways in which religious belief could become an obstacle to moral behavior.

The adoption of cleaner production systems potentially reduces the risk of hazard in work environments, improves the environmental management performance as well as streamlining the sustainability in manufacturing operations. However, failure to identify and understand the challenges in implementing this practice may cause the implementation process becomes less efficient. The literatures showed that the requirement to balance four key challenges, namely economic performance, legislation compliance, psychological concern and social responsiveness can enhance the adaptation process of cleaner production system. The ability to detect and understanding every challenge identified is very crucial, primarily to set better focus and strategic planning on getting the optimum benefits, as well as improve the environmental performance in revolutionising sustainable manufacturing practice.
