Climate change and intensified human activity have altered the landscape pattern of nature reserves and are expected to induce persistent changes in habitat quality. Using GIS technology and landscape ecological theories, we quantitatively analyzed landscape fragmentation characteristics and the driving factors for the interior and peripheries of the Qinling–Daba Mountains nature reserves during 2010–2017. Using spatial principal component analysis, landscape pattern indices, and Geodetector, we evaluated the habitat quality status of different nature reserve types in different regions and the impacts of human disturbance on these areas. The results are as follows: (1) Most national nature reserves in the Qinling–Daba Mountains were moderately or highly fragmented during 2010–2017, and the fragmentation degree of a few reserves exhibited a decreasing trend. (2) The fragmentation degree of landscape patches from the core areas to the experimental areas of the inner nature reserves showed a trend of being low in the middle and high in the surrounding area; the level of landscape fragmentation gradually decreased from the edge of 1 km (M-1) to 5 km (M-5). (3) There was spatial differentiation in the intensity of landscape fragmentation among the nature reserves; human activity intensity, land-use degree, elevation, slope gradient, and topographic relief were the factors influencing the spatial differentiation of landscape fragmentation, and the contribution of anthropogenic factors was significantly greater than that of natural factors. Human activities, such as the construction of network infrastructures, irrational partition management, expansion of agricultural and industrial production activities, were the main reasons for the spatial differentiation of landscape fragmentation in the nature reserves. These results can provide significant scientific support for ecological restoration in the nature reserves and contribute to the coordinated development between socio-economic system and ecological environment in the exceedingly impoverished areas.

In order to obtain the relationship between fractal dimension and energy dissipation of rock-like materials under initial stress state, a variable cross-section split Hopkinson pressure bar (SHPB) test system with active confining pressure loading device was used to carry out impact compression and splitting tests on cemented sand specimens. The impact test results show that (1) the prediction value on the fragmentation degree of cemented sand specimens by using the fractal model is basically consistent with the screening results of actual test, which verifies the applicability of the fractal calculation model given in this study; (2) the more the fracture energy dissipated in the crushing process of cemented sand specimens, the more serious the fragmentation degree is, and accordingly the larger the fractal dimension is, that is, the fracture energy is positively correlated with the fractal dimension; (3) there is an exponential relationship between the fractal dimension and energy dissipation of cemented sand specimens under initial stress, which is so different from that under no initial stress. The experimental results in this study can be used to modify the fractal damage model for rock blasting considering the initial stress.

To protect the ecological environment of peak forest landform and maintain its integrity and stability, the optimization method of spatial structure characteristics of peak forest landform in Wulingyuan Scenic Area was studied. By using GIS and digital topographic analysis to study the basic features of sandstone peak forest landform, Wulingyuan peak forest landform and karst peak forest have great differences in lithological composition, weathering resistance is better than Cheltenham Badland landform; by using tree theory to analyze the features of Wulingyuan peak forest landform, according to area weight serialization of contour tree nodes, we can know the depression area. The karstification is stronger than that of the peak forest area, and the surface is relatively fragmented. Based on different landscape indices, the landscape pattern of Wulingyuan peak forest is analyzed. The fragmentation degree of vegetation is lower, and the fragmentation degree of building landscape is first increased, then decreased, and finally intensified. The proportion of artificial landscape decreases year by year and the trend of fragmentation is obvious. Based on the present situation of spatial structure characteristics of Wulingyuan peak forest landform, optimization methods such as combining centralization with decentralization and improving the quality of artificial landscape ecosystem were put forward.

Graphene has outstanding mechanical properties due to its unique structure, and is regarded as an ideal reinforcement of metal matrix composites. However, it is always in an agglomerate form due to its large specific surface area, and thus, it must be first dispersed prior to combining with a matrix, and ultrasonic treatment is considered to be the most effective way. In this work, the effects of parameters of tip ultrasonic treatment, such as ultrasonic time, ultrasonic power, solvent kind, and its temperature, on dispersion and structure of graphene nanoplatelets (GNPs) were studied. The results show that increasing ultrasonic time or ultrasonic power can enhance the dispersion and exfoliation effects of GNPs, but also increase fragmentation degree and disorder degree of C-atom distribution simultaneously. Solvents with low temperature, low viscosity, or high surface tension have similar effects to those of increasing ultrasonic time or power. However, for tap water, a high-surface-tension solvent, it has relatively low fragmentation degree, and good dispersion and exfoliation effects due to the hydrophilicity of GNPs. However, ethyl alcohol is a more suitable solvent because it has excellent volatility and inert reaction characteristics with GNPs and matrix alloys besides a good dispersion effect. The GNPs can achieve the expected status when they are ultrasonically treated for 4 h under a power of 960 W in EA solvent at 35 °C.

Both stable intermediates of anhydride and NHS-ester were observed after EDC/NHS activation of PMAA, where NHS-ester waxes, while anhydride wanes complementarily with increasing fragmentation degree of PMAA blocks in PMAA-associated polymer blends.

The article is studying on the Haikou city, using Remote Sensing technique and GIS technology, with ArcGIS, ERDAS, FRAGSTAS, analyzing the temporal and spatial variation of landscape in Haikou City from 2000 to 2010, drawing the conclusion: residents, construction, farmland and forest land is the main part of landscape pattern and increased rapidly. Besides the decrease of unused land and water area, it also reflects that not only the landscape fragmentation degree of the integral sight in Haikou City in relatively high, but the landscape fragmentation degree of the residents, construction, farmland and forest land, which are the main part of Haikou City , is also relatively high.. Besides, the data also shows that each landscape didn’t connect well and the exchange of material energy among landscapes is not smoothly, which go against the mutual development between the landscape. However, the distribution of landscape in Haikou City is fairly balanced. There is no particularly advantaged type, which contributes to the balanced development of the landscape.
