This article aims at demonstrating how and why registered Community designs should be integrated into the video game industry's intellectual property strategy. Although the validity of virtual designs has not yet been tested before courts, registered designs adequately address the issue of clone gaming faced by the industry. Some minor changes to the EU legal framework could contribute to balancing out the perceived legal uncertainty surrounding this intellectual property right.

Abstract— The continued advancement of the “One Belt, One Road” strategy, coupling with the rapid development of the Internet, has provided a convenient online platform for cross-border e-commerce enterprises. China’s cross-border e-commerce enterprises have made unprecedented progress. However, at the same time, the problem of intellectual property infringement in cross-border e-commerce has become increasingly prominent, seriously restricting the development of China’s cross-border e-commerce enterprises. On the basis of analyzing the intellectual property strategy of enterprises. This paper describes the necessity of creating an intellectual property strategy for cross-border e-commerce enterprises, and proposes strategies for building relevant intellectual property strategies aimed at the weak awareness of intellectual property and the copycatting of enterprise products, which are common in the operation of cross-border e-commerce enterprises in China.

From the perspective of innovation, the current issue of China’s tourism development is the insufficient development of tourism branding, which leads to the homogeneity phenomenon of tourism goods and services. As the intellectual property system stimulates creativity and protects innovation, this article suggests that the above-mentioned problem can be solved by effective intellectual property strategy, namely creating distinctive identities through trademark protection and use, and raising qualities of tourism brands through protection and use of geographical indication (GI). Specifically, the article firstly proposes the IP Strategy of creating distinctive identities of tourism brands by active registration, timely opposition and invalidity, and effective protection of trademarks. Secondly, it proposes the IP Strategy of raising qualities of tourism brands by active registration, effective protection and sufficient use of GIs.

China has implemented the intellectual property strategy since 2008 to support innovation-driven development. However, statistical data issued during the “12th Five-Year Plan” (2011–2015) showed that there are certain deviations between the actual and expected intellectual property strategy’s goals. To effectively diagnose the goal deviation, an algorithm combining the latent Dirichlet allocation and bimodal network based on policy text was proposed. In this method, topics in intellectual property policy texts of China’s provincial regions were extracted through the latent Dirichlet allocation model, and a bimodal network centered at provincial administration district-policy topics was constructed. Subsequently, the characteristics of the goal execution deviation of the IPS in the provincial government were explored based on the centrality of the bimodal network and singular value decomposition. Finally, some diagnosis results and conclusions were demonstrated to provide reasonable methods for evaluation of national strategic planning and promoting policy performance.
