Gorlin-Golts syndrome is a genetic determined disease, characterized by multisystem features and associated with different malignancies, which are more aggressive with very unfavorable prognosis. By literature data this syndrome is a rare pathology. Observation and treatment of patients with Gorlin-Golts syndrome include syndromic correction of clinical presentations and detailed observation for early malignancies detection. In the current issue a survey of modern literature about Gorlin-Golts syndrome in children and clinical case of patient sent to Federal State Budgetary Institution» N. N. Blokhin National Medical Research Center of Oncology «of the Ministry of Health for malignancy diagnosis are presented. By global and own clinical experience about Gorlin-Golts syndrome it is necessary a genetic verification and make us perform a multidisciplinary control for such patient health with obligatory examination and observation of pediatric oncologist.

Medulloblastoma (MB) treatment in pediatric patients is an open challenge in clinical oncology. Current treatment protocols are risk-adopted and risk group criteria continuously evolve by increasing data about molecular and biologic mechanisms of MB tumorogenesis. In the current issue it is reviewed modern treatment programs, which became a basis of Russian and International clinical recommendations. It is analyzed treatment results according to regimens of chemotherapy and irradiation, absence or presence of metastases, histologic variant and molecular and biologic tumor features.

Pharmacotherapy in patients with comorbidity is a current issue for clinical practice. Combination of hypertension and musculoskeletal diseases can be found in 40% of outpatients, which requires simultaneous administration of different drugs. The main mechanisms of drug interactions are associated with pharmacokinetics or pharmacodynamics alterations. It has been proven that changes in drugs pharmacokinetics can be due to cytochromes P450 activity. The main symptom of musculoskeletal diseases is chronic pain, which requires long-term therapy with non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). The 2C19 isoenzyme takes part in metabolism of some NSAIDs. Losartan, the inhibitor of renin-angiotensinaldosterone system (RAAS), is also metabolized by the 2C9 isoenzyme and is quite often prescribed to outpatients to treat hypertension. Hence, an influence of genetic factors on efficacy and safety of antihypertensive drugs and NSAIDs combinations requires further studies.

The study is devoted to the current issue of the weight of criminal judicial evidence, which is understudied in the national doctrine. The legislator, having introduced this evaluative concept in 2012 (Paragraph 1, Part 11, Article 1 of 178 CCP), did not provide its normative definition. As a result, there is a conceptual uncertainty, which is inappropriate given the requirements of the rule of law (Article 8 of the Constitution of Ukraine, Article 8 of the CCP). Therefore, the purpose of study is to attempt to formulate a definition of the “weight of evidence”, to propose a scheme of work of a lawyer to determine the signs of this activity phenomenon in situations of making appropriate procedural decisions. The study is based on the activity methodology using a number of special methods – search and bibliographic; semantic; Aristotelian; hermeneutic; historical-legal; comparative-legal; functional analysis; generalisation. The study formulated the definition of the “weight of evidence” as an activity characteristic. The latter is the result of a pragmatic logical and legal evaluation of ad hoc evidence within its totality. Thus, certain evidence is prioritised due to the greater suitability attributed to it by the lawyer to serve as a convincing evidence base of the procedural decision. Therefore, the conclusion is substantiated that the “weight of available evidence” as its activity characteristic is “the fifth element” of the structure of “criminal judicial evidence” along with such characteristics as “credibility”, “admissibility”, “reliability”, and “sufficiency”. The study includes conclusion that the introduction by the legislator in 2012 of the “weight of available evidence” meets the requirements of the evidentiary practice of the modern national adversarial process and the ECHR

To work with or to research on subjects related to Homeopathy and High Dilutions was never a monotonous activity! At all moment skeptics and believers are discussing about clinical and experimental proofs to validate the phenomenon behind the high dilutions. Independently how structured are their reasoning, and which part is attacking, the counterpart can always neutralize the discussion using the same antidote: the intrinsic uncertain provided by statistical methods, converging to an endless technical tie. For recent examples, we can cite the UK Parliament discussion, the attempt of collective suicide by skeptics and the Belgium KCE report. I agree they had consequences, but not enough to stop the polemics or this scenario. Behind and beyond all these discussion there is an important consensus: no one knows how a HD acts or even whether it really works or whether we are dealing with experimental artifacts! Each side has its beliefs and answers. However, we can extract an ironical consequence from that: the fight between the practitioners and politicians, believers and skeptics, is the motivation and the fuel for the researchers!! What a beautiful opportunity to challenge with a potentially new phenomenon! The mind storming we are submitted should be taken as the basal state, a cyclical behavior own of this field. Cycles will repeat no matter the Science might be able to bring new theories, models, experiments, concepts, etc, about HD, to explain it or to refuse such hypothetical phenomenon! Storms are cyclical and the winds can take us to new possibilities! And the calm period is very useful to repair or even redesign our structures and skills, preparing us to the next storm! But not to eliminate them! I consider we are living a calm period, on which we should take a deep breath and relax to observe where the winds have brought us, what new possibilities we have, what challenges we must deal with! This current IJHDR’s issue and the next one will be an invitation to a break to meditation. IJHDR will publish the scientific contributions submitted to the GIRI (Groupe International de Recherche sur l’Infinitesimal) Symposia. The GIRI was created in 1986 aiming to bring together pharmacologists, biologists, physicians, chemists, physicists and other professionals to keep in touch, to exchange experiences and develop joint research projects about the biological effects of high dilutions, Homeopathy included. In the current issue, IJHDR will publish 17 contributions presented on 2010 (Monaco) and in the next issues, more than 50 contributions submitted to the XXV GIRI Symposium (September 2011, Brazil). This way, IJHDR exerts its mission as a vehicle to share open access high quality information about research in HD. Enjoy the calm, because new storms are coming!

Since many years, metal oxide semiconductor has paid too much interest as a gas sensing material by researchers because of wide performance. TiO2 is one of the majority crucial metal oxide which produced better performance in thin film development. Advanced spray pyrolysis system was used to develop thin film. The gas sensing characteristics TiO2 films are evaluated with responses. The gas sensing response, electrical characterization and sensitivity are corporate.

The current issue of Nordic Research in Music Education presents six research articles that in various ways call into question beliefs and established truths within music education, such as perceptions of teacher qualifications for music activities in preschool and primary school, and and who institutions select and educate to become music teachers. Furthermore, the articles address how notions of diversity, intercultural music education and genre categorizations influence the construction of content in music education, and what happens when these categories travel between music cultures and their reconstruction as content in the classroom.
