The course “Economics Research Methods” is often unsatisfactory because of its abstract nature and high requirements for students’ knowledge reserves. Flipping the classroom has changed the timing of knowledge transfer and knowledge internalization, which is helpful for students to make up for their knowledge reserves, and helps to improve the process of knowledge internalization through active classroom discussions with teachers, and it is more conducive to students to establish economic thinking and knowledge Picture. Of course, “Economics Research Methods” also requires teachers and students to make active and effective adjustments to their roles when carrying out fipped classrooms.

In author’s Literature Review of the Flipped Classroom, it introduces the brief history, the definition, the theoretical basis of the Flipped Classroom. While in this paper, it firstly introduces the definition, characteristics, the new interpretation and three stages of knowledge internalization in the Flipped Classroom. After that the paper makes an analysis that how to construct the Flipped Classroom teaching model in College English, together with some problems. At last it gives out suggestions on the Flipped College English class based on “Knowledge Internalization”.

PurposeThe paper aims to explore the influential path of internet marketing capabilities impacting international market performance. The paper further investigates the mitigating roles of market- and entrepreneurial-oriented behaviors and knowledge internalization in this relationship. The effect of internet use for customer management on internet marketing capabilities is also examined.Design/methodology/approachA total of 618 firms with sales in international markets were approached to participate. Data were collected from a sample of 132 Taiwanese firms and analyzed using a structural equation model.FindingsUse of internet for customer management positively influences internet marketing capabilities. The results also support the positive impacts of internet marketing capabilities on market- and entrepreneurial-oriented behaviors. Knowledge internalization mediates the relationships between market- and entrepreneurial-oriented behaviors and international market performance.Research limitations/implicationsThis paper’s investigation of the role of internet marketing capability in international market performance contributes to online internationalization, strategic orientations and organizational learning theory.Practical implicationsManagers should focus on developing internet marketing capabilities in management culture and fostering market- and entrepreneurial-oriented behaviors to facilitate knowledge internalization for better international performance.Originality/valueThis paper contributes to the construction of an alternative and comprehensive mechanism to understand the influences of internet marketing capabilities on the firm’s international performance.

Key competencies have become a hot topic in the current education circle. The concept of key competencies requires cultivating people with all-round development, which is the further deepening of quality education. So, what is the connection between the key competencies and education? The educational goal under the key competencies concept should be divided into three layers: first, the concept of knowledge, from knowledge understanding to knowledge transfer to knowledge innovation, second, problem solving, problem solving is the process of knowledge internalization, third, subject thinking layer, Disciplinary thinking is the highest level of cultivating student literacy. Link the three together, grasp the direction of educating people as a whole, and train people in all aspects.

Purpose This paper aims to propose a new knowledge creation model called Grey SECI (G-SECI), study the knowledge creation mechanism and the relationship between knowledge creation models and innovation performance during complex product systems (CoPSs) development. Research and development of CoPSs relies heavily on knowledge creation. However, most scholars have studied CoPS innovation stages from the view of design process of system products, focussing on functional management and project management during the R&D process for CoPS. Attention is lacking with regards to the key and essence of creating a complex technology: the creation of knowledge. Design/methodology/approach Modified from the classic SECI model’s spiral process of knowledge creation, a grey-SECI (G-SECI) knowledge creation model is here proposed vis-à-vis three knowledge categories: explicit knowledge, grey knowledge and tacit knowledge. Then, this paper further analyzes the effects of knowledge creation from the perspective of individual and the view of organization. Besides, an empirical study is conducted. Findings Statistical analysis indicates that there are three main paths of knowledge creation: individual experience knowledge acquisition, individual communication and reflection and organizational knowledge learning. Results further suggest that knowledge internalization by practice (KIP) is the key mode of knowledge creation, as well as the most important step for high-quality CoPS performance. Moreover, individual innovation performance is influenced by knowledge internalization by reflection and KIP; and organization innovation performance is influenced by knowledge combination and knowledge systematization. Research limitations/implications The coverage of geographical distribution is limited. Therefore, there are no data from foreign enterprises. The impact of different geographical cultures on CoPS knowledge creation model could be further investigated; in addition, the statistical analysis results of this study need to be further verified in other industries. Practical implications This paper provides a series of insights for CoPS project leaders. The results may also provide practical guidance for the related management personnel in the fields of human resource training, project planning, project quality and technology R&D in CoPS R&D management. Originality/value The paper’s main contribution is to modify classic SECI knowledge conversion model by introducing grey knowledge and build a new G-SECI knowledge creation model. Besides, the paper adds empirical evidence on the knowledge creation paths in CoPS and reveals that internalization by practice is the key mode of knowledge creation.
