The automated transport of cells can enable far-reaching cell culture research. However, to date, such automated transport has been achieved with large pump systems that often come with long fluidic connections and a large power consumption. Improvement is possible with space- and energy-efficient piezoelectric micro diaphragm pumps, though a precondition for a successful use is to enable transport with little to no mechanical stress on the cell suspension. This study evaluates the impact of the microfluidic transport of cells with the piezoelectric micro diaphragm pump developed by our group. It includes the investigation of different actuation signals. Therewith, we aim to achieve optimal fluidic performance while maximizing the cell viability. The investigation of fluidic properties proves a similar performance with a hybrid actuation signal that is a rectangular waveform with sinusoidal flanks, compared to the fluidically optimal rectangular actuation. The comparison of the cell transport with three actuation signals, sinusoidal, rectangular, and hybrid actuation shows that the hybrid actuation causes less damage than the rectangular actuation. With a 5% reduction of the cell viability it causes similar strain to the transport with sinusoidal actuation. Piezoelectric micro diaphragm pumps with the fluidically efficient hybrid signal actuation are therefore an interesting option for integrable microfluidic workflows.

The chemical resistance of PolyFlex 80A, Silagerm 6080 and Advaform grade 80 polyurethane compounds to three aggressiv e technical media: the Lazurit herbicide; the Rakurs fungicide; the MAXCUT HD SAE 30 mineral motor oil has been studied. It has been proven that the Lazurite herbicide has the greatest effect on the samples. The best material for the manufacture of diaphragms of a piston diaphragm pump is Advaform grade 80.

The majority of people in Kuta Dame Village work as farmers. Several outreaches have been carried out to develop the agricultural sector in Kuta Dame village. However, some of the extension services rarely touched on effective technology to support agriculture in Kuta Dame village. One of the technologies that need to be developed by the Kuta Dame village farmer group in supporting agriculture is an automatic sprayer. This development is necessary because most farmers are still using the carrying type sprayer with a manual pump (diaphragm pump). The sprayer's diaphragm pump pressure produces a relatively low spray pressure, especially when the operator is tired of moving the pump lever. As a result, the spraying performance is not perfect, making the spray grains not smooth and not reaching the leaf surface evenly. A community service program was implemented to implement automatic sprayers for farmers in Kuta Dame village. This community service program aims to carry out the planning process and use of an electric sprayer appropriately to increase spraying fertilizers and pesticides on crops. Implementing this community service activity starts from planning activities, implementing academic counseling, implementing the practice, handing over an electric sprayer, monitoring, and satisfaction analysis.

Berkembangnya teknologi yang dibangun dalambidang teknologi industri. Salah satu yang utama ialahuntuk menakar cairan yang mendekati presisi, danmenghindari fenomena water hammer effect yang menjadimasalah pada proses flow cairan, ini terjadi ketika valveyang digunakan untuk menutup saluran ditutup denganrentang waktu singkat dan berdampak pada sistem takarcairan tidak dapat bekerja dengan penakaran yangmendekati akurat. Hal ini menyenbabkan berkurangnyakualitas pada sistem penakar cairan. Solusi yang ditawarkanyaitu berupa proses pada sistem kendali dengan mengurangikemungkinan terjadi water hammer effect dan errorpenakaran cairan dengan mengaplikasikan Kontrol LogikaFuzzy (KLF) pada sistem. Dengan mengimplementasiakankendali cerdas, servo Valve dapat diatur agar aktif tidakhanya pada posisi menutup “0” atau membuka “1” saja,penggunaan valve secara otomatis dengan kontroler dapatmengurangi tenaga konvensional, proses produksi lebihpresisi karena bersifat computerize. Karena membutuhkankepresisian saat penakaran maka dibangunlah sistemkendali takar cairan otomatis yang dikendalikan agarpekerjaan menjadi lebih mudah dan efisien denganmenggunakan diaphragm pump motor DCyang dapatdikendalikan menggunakan driver PWM, agar takar cairanmendekati akurat digunakan motor servo MG996 untukmengontrol valvediharapkan agar tidak menutup valvesecara manual oleh user. Sistemscanning water flow secarabertahap terbaca oleh flow sensor OF05ZAT dapatditentukan dengan keakurasian yang relatif tinggi.Diharapkan dengan adanya takar cairan tersebut dapatmeningkatkan efektivitas produksi demi menciptakansistem penakar cairan yang mendekati akurat.
