The curvilinear recessions relating to storage losses with runoff water collected at storage structure, G R Halli watershed, Chitradurga district, Karnataka fitted best with the observations. The method of estimation of the model parameter is presented in the paper. Relating storage to storage on preceding day gives more information about water balance of this catchment. It is observed from the data that more emphasis is to be given for in situ conservation measures.

Abstract In order to alleviate the peak shaving pressure of power grid and further improve the deep peak shaving capacity of coal-fired units, this paper applies staged heat storage to condensing units. Under the condition of constant boiler load, the heat of regenerative steam extraction is stored to reduce the electrical load output of the unit. Taking a 660MW ultra-supercritical unit as an example,30%THA,40%THA and 50%THA were taken as the initial conditions of heat storage respectively to discuss the peak shaving range and power regeneration efficiency of different extraction steam positions for heat storage. The results show that the “storage 1# HP heater extraction steam” scheme with “two-stage three tank” heat storage and release structure has the largest peak shaving range of 37.3%~56.9% under 50% initial conditions. When the “two-stage three tank” heat storage and release structure selects the “storage 1# HP heater extraction steam ”scheme under 40% initial working condition, the “power regeneration efficiency” reaches the highest——78.3%. And the “power regeneration efficiency” of “two stage three tank” storage structure are always higher than the “single-stage” storage structure.

Developments in vacuum storage technology present an opportunity to achieve significant improvements on protection, preservation and storage of agricultural commodities for residential and commercial use. Sub-baric storage is a environmental friendly, non-residue organic technology which provides chemical-free and insect contamination-free products. Due to creation of vacuum, there is a change in the environment inside the storage structure. This study therefore contributes an important knowledge and method in the development, fabrication and application of a sub baric storage bin (SBSB) as a best alternative to the commonly used traditional and modern storage structure. In its embodiment, the work focuses on the design and fabrication of the sub-baric storage bin to provide efficient storage of food grains by preventing the use of pesticides and insecticides and to reduce material loss during storage, a sub-baric storage bin of 500 kg capacity was designed and developed. The developed storage bin consists of storage chamber (500 kg), Vacuum pump, suction blower, grain inlet with pipe for loading, grain outlet for unloading, vacuum gauge, thermocouple, control panel, agitator, air filter, two inlet valves for gas infusion, vacuum release valve and SS mobile skid. The designed sub-baric storage bin is cylindrical in geometry with conical shape at bottom side and flat circular plate on top side and the storage bin has capacity of 500 kg to store food grains with hopper angle of 60°. The storage bin was designed in such a way that, it has provision for both bulk and bag storage and to work from 0-650 mm Hg vacuum. The developed SBSB was subjected to hydraulic pressure test and vacuum drop test to ensure a safe operation. It was observed that there was no implosion (compression) or explosion confirming to the fact that the design was adequate and also safe to operate. Also, there were no signs of bulging, buckling or any deformations observed in any of the components or the pipe lines, connections, fixtures or fasteners. Hence, it was concluded that the designed equipment could be operated safely at 650 mm Hg vacuum pressure satisfying all the applicable safety assurances and standards relevant to the industry.

This paper attempts to determine the law of motion of a tank as a large volumetric massive structure when immersed in a resisting liquid medium. The authors propose two methods for its determination. Dependence graphs of coordinates, speed, acceleration of the tank versus time are plotted. The dependence of time and speed of lowering of a massive storage structure on the volume of pumped water is determined. In addition, the range of the optimal volume of water pumped inside the tank for the purpose of its soft landing is determined.

AbstractAdvances in positioning and communicating technologies make it possible to collect large volumes of taxi trajectory data, quickly providing a complete picture of the ground traffic systems and thus being applied to different fields. However, there are still challenges for data users to handle such big data. In view of this, we have developed a software system named XStar to deal with trajectory big data. Its core is a scalable index and storage structure. Based on it, raw data can be saved in a more compact scheme and accessed more efficiently. A real taxi trajectory dataset is employed to demonstrate its performance. In general, XStar facilitates processing and analyzing trajectory data affordably and straightforwardly. Since its release in Jan. 2019, it has received downloads of over 4000 by May 2021. More analytical functions are being developed.

Toward the existing problems in targeted poverty alleviation system, such as unclear poverty alleviation records, inaccurate poverty alleviation targets, easy tampering of poverty alleviation data and single data storage structure, a targeted poverty alleviation system based on blockchain + IPFS + distributed database is designed. For different links in the industrial field, different consensus schemes are used to balance reliability and performance. Using the characteristics of blockchain technology to ensure that data are traceable and tampering-proof, and then combining this technology with the interstellar file system (IPFS) as data storage to solve the problem of high cost of large files; what’s more, the distributed database can play a role in achieving data partition management to solve the problem of single data storage structure. The data nodes are independent of each other, thus, they can realize the efficient control of resources and improve the concurrency and scalability of the system. Through the performance test and comparative analysis of the system, it is proved that the system has a great improvement in throughput, data read-write delay and other indicators.
