Significance Lack of clarity over standards has held back transition bonds, but the rising imperative to reduce the carbon footprint of the most polluting firms in the coming years could provide impetus. This applies particularly to emerging economies. Impacts ESG-focused investors are likely to continue favouring green bonds over transition bonds as the latter means investing in brown sectors. ‘Transition washing’ (similar to ‘greenwashing’ among green bond issuers) will remain a problem. Investors will demand clear goals from issuers, further blurring the boundaries between transition bonds and sustainability-linked bonds. Recent developments suggest that the market for transition bonds could grow particularly fast in Asia Pacific.

Despite a slow start, and some setbacks and mistakes along the way, the essay asserts that the author has had much success and happiness in her academic career. This chapter highlights some of the guiding principles that determined how her career unfolded and illustrates these principles with experiences she has had in the last three decades. This chapter is intended to provide a bit of guidance to others, as well as hope and reassurance if they sometimes feel discouraged.

The development of personalized medical systems should be supported by a fast and stable network system. The FAST TCP network system is the appropriate support system for this purpose. However, when the FAST TCP is deployed, the static mapping selection method for protocol parameters is unable to guarantee the small queuing delay and fast convergence of the network simultaneously. By conducting theoretical analysis and simulation experiments, the relationships among FAST TCP protocol slow start condition, control law gain parameters, and FAST TCP system convergence rate were examined. To ensure the stability of the FAST TCP system and to select the smallest protocol parameters, an improved method to effectively accelerate the convergence velocity of the FAST TCP system is proposed in this study. In this method, the number of packets for staying in the buffer for FAST TCP connections was taken as the criterion of the slow start, and the gain parameter of the control law was dynamically adjusted according to the local information of each FAST TCP connection. Using this improved method, the FAST TCP system can achieve a stable and small queuing delay, whilst the FAST TCP system could converge quickly to the equilibrium point simultaneously.

When ensiled corn straw is used for anaerobic digestion to produce biogas, it usually has problems such as slow start and long fermentation cycle due to low pH. To solve these problems, improving the utilization rate of silage straw, this study analyzed the methanogenic properties of different ensiled corn straw pretreated with sodium hydroxide. The experimental results showed that the methane-producing ability of the experimental group (CB) with cellulase was the best and reached 10.91 L in total methane production. It can be seen from the parameter performance of pH, VFAs, FAN and COD that NaOH can significantly shorten the experiment start-up period and make the system run stably. The overall trend of each group was basically the same, however, there are slight differences due to different ensiling additives. In general, the overall performance of the experiment was better after adding NaOH.

During competitive events, the pacing strategy depends upon how an athlete feels at a specific moment and the distance remaining. It may be expressed as the Hazard Score (HS) with momentary HS being shown to provide a measure of the likelihood of changing power output (PO) within an event and summated HS as a marker of how difficult an event is likely to be perceived to be. This study aimed to manipulate time trial (TT) starting strategies to establish whether the summated HS, as opposed to momentary HS, will improve understanding of performance during a simulated cycling competition. Seven subjects (peak PO: 286 ± 49.7 W) performed two practice 10-km cycling TTs followed by three 10-km TTs with imposed PO (±5% of mean PO achieved during second practice TT and a self-paced TT). PO, rating of perceived exertion (RPE), lactate, heart rate (HR), HS, summated HS, session RPE (sRPE) were collected. Finishing time and mean PO for self-paced (time: 17.51 ± 1.41 min; PO: 234 ± 62.6 W), fast-start (time: 17.72 ± 1.87 min; PO: 230 ± 62.0 W), and slow-start (time: 17.77 ± 1.74 min; PO: 230 ± 62.7) TT were not different. There was a significant interaction between each secondary outcome variable (PO, RPE, lactate, HR, HS, and summated HS) for starting strategy and distance. The evolution of HS reflected the imposed starting strategy, with a reduction in PO following a fast-start, an increased PO following a slow-start with similar HS during the last part of all TTs. The summated HS was strongly correlated with the sRPE of the TTs (r = 0.88). The summated HS was higher with a fast start, indicating greater effort, with limited time advantage. Thus, the HS appears to regulate both PO within a TT, but also the overall impression of the difficulty of a TT.

Rumput laut Gracilaria sp merupakan salah satu hasil produk laut yang masih memiliki permintaan yang tinggi di pasar. Permasalahan yang ada masih rendahnya suplai karena masih banyak mengandalka hasil alam.  Tujuan dari penelitian ini melihat pertumbuhkan rumput laut tersebut di tambak yang tidak produktip.  Metoda yag digunakan adalah lepas dasar sesui dengan hidupnya di alam.  Pegukuran dilakuna terhadap 10 contoh rumput laut yang memiliki berat awal sama ±20gr, pengukuran berat dilakukan setiap 10 hari.  Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa Gracilaria mampu tumbuh di tambak dengan awal yang lambat kemudian meningkat setalah hari ke 30.  Uji Anova terhadap berat tiap pengukuran menjukan perbedaan yang sangat sigikan (p= 0.00 ≤ 0,01).  Kualitas perairan tambak secara keseluran mendukung untuk pertumbuhan rumput laut Gracilaria sp. Gracilaria sp seaweed one of marine commodity which still has high demand in the market.  The problem of these produck was a supply still low because the min supplay depand on nature produck.  This study aims to determine the growth of seaweed in non productive brackish waters pounds. Off-bottom method was used to application seaweed growth on brackish fish pounds such as life in nature.  Measurement of weigh was carried out on 10 samples of seaweed which had the same initial weight of ± 20 grams, weight measurements were carried out every 10 days.  The results showed that Gracilaria was able to grow in ponds with a slow start and then increased dramatically after 30 days. Anova test on the weight of each measurement showed a very significant difference (p = 0.00 ≤ 0.01).  Futher more the quality of pond waters was supports to growth of Gracilaria sp.
