Today’s complex, dynamic, interconnected world presents the field of education (“Education 4.0”) with significant challenges in developing competencies for reasoning for complexity. This article analyzes complex thinking as a macro-competency with sub-competencies of critical, systemic, scientific, and innovative thinking in educational environments. We worked with the systematic literature review method, extracting 39 articles in the Scopus and Web of Science databases using keywords words of interest and applying inclusion and exclusion criteria. Seven research questions guided the data analysis. The results highlighted that: (a) there are common characteristics of studies linking complex thinking, critical thinking, and creative thinking; (b) there is predominance of the qualitative method in the studies; (c) the critical thinking competency has been the most addressed in the research; (d) the predominant components of Education 4.0 are teaching methods and techniques; and (e) the three challenges that stand out for educational research are project feasibility, research opportunities, and required skills. This article is intended to be of value to academic and social communities and decision-makers interested in developing reasoning for complexity within the framework of Education 4.0.

The aim of this research study is to describe the hybrid renewable energy resources, the photovoltaic and the wind turbine are utilized to produce AC power for a Sahara Hassi R'Mel region in south of Algeria is optimally designed. Hybrid power generation systems are an operative solution for the variable generated power of renewable energy sources. In the new design, the ability circuit and the surveillance regulation of the presented grid-connected hybrid power system simulation is examined via MATLAB/Simulink. To detect the feasibility of the controlled system, this system is studied under various solar radiation and wind speed profiles. On the basis of the results, good tracking with a high accuracy rate is obtained after using filtering component by enhancing the different topology configurations in the expression of comparison voltage (V), and power (W). Overtime, the overall system efficiency is enhanced compared to the MPPT control system. The obtained simulation results for the incremental conductance PV/Wind MPPT controller have accomplished high effective system achievements. IncCond method is appropriate for working in vastly variable weather conditions with easy design, high tracking velocity, and minimum step count.

A video-based method to quantify animal posture movement is a powerful way to analyze animal behavior. Both humans and fish can judge the physiological state through the skeleton framework. However, it is challenging for farmers to judge the breeding state in the complex underwater environment. Therefore, images can be transmitted by the underwater camera and monitored by a computer vision model. However, it lacks datasets in artificial intelligence and is unable to train deep neural networks. The main contributions of this paper include: (1) the world’s first fish posture database is established. 10 key points of each fish are manually marked. The fish flock images were taken in the experimental tank and 1000 single fish images were separated from the fish flock. (2) A two-stage attitude estimation model is used to detect fish key points. The evaluation of the algorithm performance indicates the precision of detection reaches 90.61%, F1-score reaches 90%, and Fps also reaches 23.26. We made a preliminary exploration on the pose estimation of fish and provided a feasible idea for fish pose estimation.

Abstract Emerging research suggests that death anxiety is a transdiagnostic construct, which may underpin a number of mental illnesses. Although cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT) has been found to be the most effective treatment for death anxiety, no self-guided treatments for this construct exist at present. Furthermore, there is a growing need for accessible, scalable and cost-effective psychological treatments. To address these gaps, we created Overcome Death Anxiety (ODA), an online CBT-based programme which specifically targets fears of death. ODA was designed to be a fully automated, standalone, yet individualised online treatment. The present study outlines the development and structure of this programme using responses from four users to illustrate feasibility. Research is needed to examine the efficacy and usability of ODA with a larger clinical sample.

Higher education institutions encounters difficulties when the Covid-19 pandemic happens because learners cannot go to class and absorb knowledge directly. In Vietnam, universities have used online learning to help learners keep learning in this pandemic context. However, the quality and effectiveness of the learning process are questioned by the learner and the teaching staff. In this context, our research is looking for solutions to apply new technology in the teaching process to ensure the quality and effectiveness of learning. Among these new technologies, digital games are considered due to most students playing digital games as well as their positive effects in teaching reflected in recent publications. Under the approach of technological process, our team evaluate the feasibility and effectiveness of the digital game-based instructional technology at HUST. In terms of feasibility, research results show that most students agree that learning skills can be formed by using digital games in learning process. About the efficiency, there are three key findings: First, although male students play video games more than female students, the results show that both men and women have the same rate to-wards the effectiveness of digital games in learning. Second, there is no difference in assessing the effectiveness of digital games in learning between IT students and non-IT students although IT students are more exposed to technology. Third, there is a difference in the views of second-year students and third-year students. This difference shows the reason to build blended-learning courses that use digital games effectively for third-year students who starts more indeed engineering major at universities.

Implications of licensing for the protection of coastal areas in the implementation of business licensing for tourism services in Lampung Province following the Lampung Governor Regulation No. 21/2019 have implications for protecting coastal areas around tourist objects marine tourism permit requirements must include Environmental Documents and Environmental Permits. Also, it includes a technical feasibility research document containing the coordinates of the location of use, plans for marine tourism activities, and a list of the infrastructure used. This research aims to analyze the tourism service business licensing policy in Lampung Province concerning the protection of coastal areas. This research used an empirical juridical approach, and data collection was carried out by literature research and field studies. The data analysis was done qualitatively. The results of this research indicate that the tourism service business licensing policy to the protection of coastal areas in Lampung Province is implemented by the Lampung Province Office of Capital Investment and One Entry Services of Lampung Province based on the Lampung Governor Regulation No. 21/2019 concerning Spatial Utilization of Coastal Areas and Small Islands. Licensing for tourism services business with marine tourism objects includes permits for coastal waters locations and water locations. The validity period of the coastal waters management permit and the permit for the waters' location is two years, and a permit extension can be made no later than three months before the permit's validity period.
