Wear resistance is one of the most important performance indicators of filling pipelines, but there are few studies on its quantitative test and life prediction. In this paper, an experimental device and its application method for testing the wear resistance of the pipeline are proposed, and the device is used to test the wear resistance of the self-developed lining composite pipeline, the traditional 16 Mn steel pipeline and the ordinary carbon structural steel pipeline. The results show that the wear resistance of the composite lining material is 12.35 times of that of 16 Mn steel and 7.32 times of that of ordinary carbon structural steel. The wear resistance mechanism is analyzed from the perspective of the material composition of the composite liner, mainly because the composite liner material uses fused alumina grain sand, silicon carbide and other extremely wear-resistant materials with high hardness as aggregate, and the aggregates are spherical or nearly spherical particles, with smooth surface and small friction resistance. Finally, through a comparison engineering application of a certain iron ore concentrate transportation. Compared with the traditional 16 Mn steel pipeline, the composite lined pipeline has been used for more than 5 years without any problems, while the traditional 16 Mn steel pipeline is worn through within 1 year. Engineering application shows that the composite lined pipeline has good wear resistance, and it also confirms the reliability of the detection method proposed in this paper.

ABSTRACTThis study aimed to determine the formalin content of shrimp paste traded in the City Central Market and Wua-Wua Central Market. The analytical method used was the Phenylhydrazine method and quantitative test (Titration Method). The qualitative test was done to determine the presence or absence of formalin in the shrimp paste, while the quantitative test was done to determine the amount of formalin contained in the shrimp paste traded in the City Central Market and the Wua-Wua Central Market. This was a descriptive qualitative-quantitative study. The results of this study show that from 6 samples taken at the City Central Market and the Wua-Wua Central Market, five samples were positive for formalin. The average amount of formalin contents at the City Central Market were 77 mg/kg (A2) and 54.6 mg/kg (A3). Meanwhile, the average amount of formalin contents at the Wua-Wua Central Market were 60 mg/kg (B1), 66.7 mg/kg (B2), and 107.2 mg/kg (B3).Keywords: Shrimp paste, Formalin, Traditional marketABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kandungan formalin pada terasi yang diperdagangkan di Pasar Sentral Kota dan Pasar Sentral Wua-Wua.

A native Trichoderma isolate was collected from the agricultural soil of Gazipur. This isolate was identified as a Trichoderma asperellum through morphology and analysis of internal transcribed spacer (ITS) region of ribosomal RNA gene sequence and reconstruction of the phylogenetic tree. The antagonistic effects of the newly identified T. asperellum isolate were assessed against brinjal bacterial wilt caused by Ralstonia solanacearum both in vitro and in planta. Both qualitative and quantitative bioassays were conducted in vitro. For qualitative tests, dual culture and antibacterial activity were carried out, and pathogen growth was observed visually. The antagonism of T. asperellum cell free culture filtrate on the growth of R. solanacearum was conducted in a quantitative test. Successful antagonism was recorded after both in vitro qualitative tests. In addition, the lowest colony forming unit was recorded in 100% of CFC (2.4±0.51 ×103 cfu/ml) in quantitative test. The T. asperellum inoculated plant showed low disease incidence (13.33%) when seedlings were challenged with R. solanacearum in planta experiment. Disease incidence was 100% for seedlings when treated with only R. solanacearum. The results showed that the isolated and identified T. asperellum isolate suppressed R. solanacearum growth in vitro and protected the seedling from wilting in planta. Therefore, this isolate could be considered as a potential isolate. Ann. Bangladesh Agric. (2020) 24(2) : 107-120

Vitamin C is an antioxidant that is contained in red cabbage (Brassica oleracea L. var capitata). Generally, people store juice ingredients in the refrigerator. This research was carried out to determine the effect of storage time on vitamin C levels in juiced red cabbage. The variation of storage time used was 1, 4, and 7 days with a storage temperature of 5 oC. Qualitative test using iodine, Fehling, and ammonium molybdate reagent gave positive results containing vitamin C. The quantitative test was carried out by UV-Vis spectrophotometry at a maximum wavelength of 570.5 nm with operating time at 20 minutes after the test solution was added with H2SO4 and ammonium molybdate. The quantitative test results showed that the level of vitamin C on the first day was 63.92 mg / 100 g, on the fourth day was 63.32 mg / 100 g, on the seventh day was 62.52 mg / 100 g red cabbage with coefficients of variation 0.26%. The Tukey test resulted in a p value of more than ??0.05, ie 0.831, so that the levels of vitamin C red cabbage juice made on the 1st, 4th, and 7th days were not significantly different.

Borax is a chemical substance that is prohibited from being used as a food additive because of its toxic nature. However, the use of borax is still widely found, one of which is meatballs the most. This study aims to identify the borax content in meatballs. Samples were taken from Ciroyom Market, Bandung City, Indonesia using total sampling and obtained as many as 10 samples of meatballs. The samples were analyzed qualitatively by observing physical conditions and testing using BaCl2 solution. Meanwhile, quantitative analysis was carried out using a UV-Vis spectrophotometer at a wavelength of 428 nm. The results of the analysis showed that all samples were indicated to contain borax. Even the quantitative test using UV-Vis spectrophotometer showed that the highest borax content was found in sample 10, which was 3.672,9 µg/ml.
