Poly-hydroxyalkanoate (PHA) là polyme có khả năng phân hủy sinh học được tổng hợp bởi nhiều nhóm vi sinh vật trong điều kiện hạn chế dinh dưỡng với vai trò làm nguồn dinh dưỡng dự trữ. Nhằm mục đích tìm kiếm và đánh giá thu chủng thuộc chi Bacillus có khả năng sản xuất của nhựa polyme phân hủy sinh học 06 chủng thuộc chi Bacillus đã được lựa chọn nghiên cứu và đánh giá.  Các chủng được sàng lọc kiểm tra khả năng tích lũy poly-β-hydroxybutyrate (PHB) bằng việc sử dụng Nile blue A để nhuộm và quan sát các tế bào có màu cam tích lũy poly-b-hydroxyalkanoates PHA. Kết quả cho thấy có 05/06 chủng chiếm 83,3% có khả năng tích lũy PHA. Chủng Bacillus sp. DV01 cho thấy khả năng tích lũy cao nhất. Kết quả phân loại dựa trên trình tự 16S rRNA cho thấy chủng này thuộc loài Bacillus megaterium với độ tương đồng đạt 100% và được đặt tên là Bacillus megaterium DV01. Hàm lượng PHA của B. megaterium DV01 khi tách thu được chiếm 23,9% so với sinh khối khô.

Objective: The electrochemical analysis of ephedrine which is a sympathometric drug has been studied using poly(Nile blue A) modified glassy carbon electrodes using cyclic voltammetry, differential pulse voltammetry and square wave voltammetry. Methods: The modified electrodes were prepared by potential cycling electropolymerization of Nile blue A in 0.1 M phosphate buffer solution at pH 6.0. The redox behavior of ephedrine was investigated in different buffer solutions at pH values between 5.5 and 9.0. Results: Scan rate studies showed that the electron transfer reaction of ephedrine was diffusion controlled. A linear response was obtained between the peak current and the ephedrine concentration in the range of 0.6 to 100 μM with a limit of detection of 2.91×10-3 µM for differential pulse voltammetry in Britton-Robinson buffer solution at pH 9.0. The linearity range of ephedrine in human urine was between 1.0 and 100 μM with a detection limit of 8.16 nM. Conclusion: The recovery studies in both pharmaceutical dosage forms and urine showed that the proposed method ensured good selectivity, precision and accuracy without any interference from inactive excipients.

Abstrak. Pala (M. fragans) merupakan salah satu komoditas rempah unggulan yang bernilai tinggi, sebagaimana Indonesia menjadi salah satu produsen terbesar di dunia (70 – 75 %). Saat ini dalam membudidayakan tanaman pala, petani mengalami kendala yang salah satunya disebabkan oleh serangan rayap. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui ukuran populasi koloni dan daya jelajah rayap C. curvignathus pada tanaman pala (M. fragans) di kecamatan Meukek dengan menggunakan teknik triple mark recapture. Rayap C. curvignathus dikoleksi dari pertanaman pala (M. fragans) yang ditentukan dalam enam blok (I, II, III, IV, V, VI). Koleksi rayap diwarnai dengan neutral red 0,25% dan nile blue A 0,05% di laboratorium . Hasil pengamatan menunjukan bahwa Total ukuran populasi koloni sebesar 347719.06 individu dari 23 koloni yang tersebar dalam luas areal 7325 m². Rata-rata daya jelajah maksimum Rayap C. curvignathus sejauh 35 m yang diduga pengaruh dari beberapa faktor lingkungan terutama makanan (mengandung selulosa) yang tersedia sangat terbatas.Abstract. Nutmeg (M. Fragans) is one of commodity of superior spices which has high value, as Indonesia became one of the largest manufacturers in the world (70-75%).  Currently in cultivate a nutmeg crop, farmers faced some obstacles and termite attack is one of causes. The purpose of this research is to know the population size of colony and cruising termites C.Curvignathus on nutmeg crop (M. Fragans) in Meukek, South Aceh by using triple mark recapture technique. Termites C. Curvignathus collected from nutmeg crop (M. Fragans) which determined in six block (I, II, III, IV, V, and VI), the termites collection colored with neutral red 0.25% and nile blue A 0.05% in laboratory. The result of observation shows that total of population size of colony is 347.719,06 individual from 23 colonies scattered in the area of 7.325 m2.  The average of cruising termites C.Curnignathus as far as 35 m that suspected influence of some environmental factors especially a food (containing cellulose) very limited available.
