AbstractThe texture and magnetic anisotropy of a YBa2Cu3O7-x (YBCO) film growth onto a MgO substrate are analyzed in order to understand the relation between them. X-ray diffraction shows the presence of the (00l) reflections from the YBCO layer with a grain’s fraction value 98%. Rocking Curves (RC) measurements reveal an out-of-plane texture with a full width at the half maximum of 0.81°, revealing a high uniaxial texture in the YBCO film. The temperature dependence of the susceptibility measurements obtained under many applied fields along Hext ||c-axis and Hext||ab-plane reveals strong relationship between the uniaxial texture and the magnetic anisotropy, confirming the high ordering of the CuO2 superconducting planes. In addition, the critical current density values are obtained from the hysteresis loops and compared to similar YBCO films with uniaxial and biaxial texture reported elsewhere.

YBCO is currently one of the most widely used second-generation high temperature superconducting (HTS) materials. Compared with the first-generation HTS materials represented by BSCCO, the application of YBCO on the current lead can effectively reduce the 4K thermal load and achieve better stability. This paper introduces the research progress of YBCO soldered stacked conductor based on 65 [Formula: see text]m thickness YBCO film conductor with copper stabilizing layer. The electrical properties of the soldered stacked conductor, including the self-field dependence of the critical current, were tested and analyzed. In this paper, the thermal conductivity of the conductors at 4K is also tested by experimental platform based on GM cryocooler. The differences between superconducting stacked conductors in current lead applications and magnet applications were discussed.

Unlike traditional methods of fabrication of the planar superconducting structures based on YBCO films, in which etching or ion implantation is used to form the topology, in the method of preliminary topology mask (TM), the topology is set at the initial stage of the structure manufacturing process, during the formation of TM, and the deposition of YBCO is its final stage. Superconducting elements of the structure are formed in the windows of the TM, and insulating regions are formed between them. In this paper, having fixed the topology of superconducting bridges at the stage of the formation of TM, we measured their characteristics depending on the thickness of the YBCO film, sequentially conducting deposition cycles. After each YBCO deposition, the structural parameters of the film as well as the critical temperature and current at the bridges, including those with Josephson contacts formed on the bicrystalline substrate, were measured.
