Thus chapter revolves around the act/content/object distinction. Russell characterized Austrian Psychology, Cambridge Realism, Idealism, and Neutral Monism with respect to their different treatments of this distinction. The Cambridge Realists like Russell and Moore argued that the distinction between act and object is given introspectively, but that there is no distinction between content and object. The Neutral Monists (American Realists) like James argued that there is no act/object distinction and that, consequently, there is no intrinsic distinction between the mental and physical. Russell changed tack by arguing for the existence of the distinction on the basis of ‘hypotheses’. He held a hybrid position: there is no act/object distinction in sensation, but the full act/content/object distinction in thought. The chapter assesses arguments in favour of the act/object distinction and against the act/content/object distinction.

E-learning is a form of learning model that is accommodated and supported in technology in an information system. In educational institutions, of course, it is needed to help teachers in increasing the efficiency of the learning process. Therefore, the purpose of e-learning at SMK Negeri 1 Batipuh as an educational institution during the Coronavirus Disease-19 pandemic, distance learning or work from home should be implemented. Changes in the form of SCORM standard education services (Sharable Content Object Reference Model), in SCORM modeling using the waterfall method in building a good system, where educators can provide learning to students about knowledge transfer activities, especially by presenting videos in the form of materials plus discussion methods along with emoticons so that students better understand, be interesting and become active in the learning process. After conducting research in related schools, the authors conclude that an e-learning system is needed that facilitates the learning and teaching process. With the PHP programming language and the CodeIgniter framework, an e-learning system is designed to connect students and teachers. Keywords: E-Learning, SCORM, Coronavirus Disease-19, CodeIgniter Framework.

Sittlichkeit. Person. Gewissen. Freedom and ethical life: Hegel’s critical diagnosis of political modernity Abstract: Departing from a brief characterization of the historical-conceptual process by which civil society and the state, respectively, the bourgeois and the citizen, differed and separated from one another – a fundamental trait of political modernity – (1), I have undertaken a concise analysis of the three moments of the exposition (Darstellung) of freedom’s concept, which, within the scope of objective spirit, culminates in the development of the concept of ethical life (2). Thereupon, I have elucidated the three logical moments, that is, the three constitutive and procedural elements of freedom’s concept, namely, universality, particularity and singularity (3), which, in their effectivation within the scope of subjective spirit, assume three figures: that of natural will, arbitrary will and the free will which wants the universal effectivation of freedom as its “content, object and aim” (4). Hegel is thus the philosopher of political modernity par excellence and, simultaneously, its severe critic, inasmuch as he, on the one hand, deepens the rift which modern contractualism introduced in ethical-political thought when it founded family, society and political power upon autonomous free will, and on the other, inasmuch as he, at the same time, tears down the atomist and negative character of individual freedom set forth by the contractualist paradigm as its basis. (5) Finally, I examined in detail the two fundamental columns upon which a normative structure of a modern and reflexive ethical life are based: the person as subject of rights (6.a) and the modern moral consciousness’ as subjective freedom (6.b). Keywords: Freedom. Political modernity. Difference between society and state. Ethical life. Person. Moral consciousness. Data de registro: 30/07/2020 Data de aceite: 21/10/2020

Controlling our thoughts is central to mental well-being, and its failure is at the crux of a number of mental disorders. Paradoxically, behavioral evidence shows that thought suppression often fails. Despite the broad importance of understanding the mechanisms of thought control, little is known about the fate of neural representations of suppressed thoughts. Using fMRI, we investigated the brain areas involved in controlling visual thoughts and tracked suppressed thought representations using multivoxel pattern analysis. Participants were asked to either visualize a vegetable/fruit or suppress any visual thoughts about those objects. Surprisingly, the content (object identity) of successfully suppressed thoughts was still decodable in visual areas with algorithms trained on imagery. This suggests that visual representations of suppressed thoughts are still present despite reports that they are not. Thought generation was associated with the left hemisphere, and thought suppression was associated with right hemisphere engagement. Furthermore, general linear model analyses showed that subjective success in thought suppression was correlated with engagement of executive areas, whereas thought-suppression failure was associated with engagement of visual and memory-related areas. These results suggest that the content of suppressed thoughts exists hidden from awareness, seemingly without an individual's knowledge, providing a compelling reason why thought suppression is so ineffective. These data inform models of unconscious thought production and could be used to develop new treatment approaches to disorders involving maladaptive thoughts.

The intelligent scheduling algorithm for hierarchical data migration is a key issue in data management. Mass media content platforms and the discovery of content object usage patterns is the basic schedule of data migration. We add QPop, the dimensionality reduction result of media content usage logs, as content objects for discovering usage patterns. On this basis, a clustering algorithm QPop is proposed to increase the time segmentation, thereby improving the mining performance. We hired the standard C-means algorithm as the clustering core and used segmentation to conduct an experimental mining process to collect the ted QPop increments in practical applications. The results show that the improved algorithm has good robustness in cluster cohesion and other indicators, slightly better than the basic model.
