The city of Bandung and Subang are tourist attractions that offer a variety of entertainment, especially for family tourists in spending their vacation time. In supporting comfort and service so that tourists spend their time, it is necessary to support facilities ranging from hotels and restaurants that not only offer services for adult guests but also for children. The presence of children's guests is still often considered a minority by hoteliers. This can be seen from several hotels that have not considered the children's menu and facilities in the form of products or services that provide a sense of comfort and safety. This research is a descriptive quantitative study with a sample of hotels in Bandung and Subang where guests are family. The purpose of this study was to see how important the menu and facilities of children owned by hotel entrepreneurs in the City of Bandung and Subang. The results of this study indicate that hotel guest expectations regarding hotel services and facilities have an interval value of> 4.21, which means it is very important. Ratings with the highest scores are inclined to attributes of swimming pools and water parks, children's activities and play spaces as well as complete children's menus.

This chapter investigates John Muir's texts against the backdrop of privileged notions of exclusivity regarding race, gender, and class. It also highlight's Muir's astute environmental and political critique, as well as his passionate and sensual delving into a more-than-human world. The chapter points out how Muir both epitomized and complicated a dualistic mindset and actively promoted and aided tourism, arguing that city dwellers needed vacation time in the mountains. It describes how Muir grew politically engaged and became one of the most effectual advocates for the national parks, becoming instrumental in making wilderness accessible to white men. It also talks about Muir's book that was distributed to both West and East Coast readership, which includes carefully crafted narratives of his achievements and his adventures and promotion of tourism in Yosemite Valley.

Nowadays, due to the advent of clouding computing, buffer size can be readily extended in a couple of minutes for computing servers, where the buffer size should not be considered as given when optimizing the system performance. In this context, we explore optimal combinations for the buffer size and the length of vacation time in M/G/1/K queues with multiple vacations numerically. We consider the cases of deterministic and exponentially distributed vacation and service times. In order to do this, we also formulate an optimal problem and define cost factors: the customer loss cost, the buffer holding cost, and the server operating cost. We present some numerical examples to investigate the impact of the system parameters such as the buffer size, the length of the vacation time, and the distribution of the service time, to performance measures and the total cost. We also investigate optimal combinations for the buffer size and the vacation length for various values of the cost factors.

Objective: To demonstrate that neurotologists enjoy performing stapedectomies. Subjects: A group of survey recipients consisting of 174 neurotologists who perform stapedectomy, a nonoverlapping control group of 145 head/neck oncologists who perform parotidectomy, and a second nonoverlapping control group of 365 pediatric otolaryngologists who perform tonsillectomy. Outcome Measures: Responses to surveys distributed by electronic mail to the 3 nonoverlapping recipient groups during nonoverlapping 4-week periods. Results: During the 4-week survey periods, 84 of 174 neurotologists (48%) responded, while 33 of 145 oncologists (23%) and 87 of 365 pediatric otolaryngologists (24%) responded. Most neurotologists performed stapedectomy (80/84; 95% of survey responders), while 33 of 33 (100% of survey responders) oncologists performed parotidectomy and 87 of 87 (100% of survey responders) pediatric otolaryngologists performed tonsillectomy. Seventy-six of the 80 neurotologists who performed stapedectomies (95%) enjoyed performing it, slightly more than the 30 of the 33 oncologists who performed parotidectomies (91%) and appreciably more than the 67 of 87 pediatric otolaryngologists who performed tonsillectomies (77%). Twenty-three neurotologists (30%) would sacrifice vacation time to perform additional stapedectomies, slightly more than 8 oncologists (27%) for additional parotidectomies and more than the 7 pediatric otolaryngologists (10%) for additional tonsillectomies. Ten (13%) of the neurotologists, 3 (9%) of the oncologists, and 1 (2%) of the pediatric otolaryngologists would sacrifice 5 or more vacation days to perform more of the procedures. Conclusions: Our data suggest that neurotologists enjoy performing stapedectomy.
