Truncated Local Uniformization of Formal Integrable Differential Forms

We prove the existence of Local Uniformization for rational codimension one foliations along rational rank one valuations, in any ambient dimension. This result is consequence of the Truncated Local Uniformization of integrable formal differential 1-forms, that we also state and prove in the paper. Thanks to the truncated approach, we perform a classical inductive procedure, based both in the control of the Newton Polygon and in the possibility of avoiding accumulations of values, given by the existence of suitable Tschirnhausen transformations.

Grammatical patterns in the corpus-driven “Lexical Database of Lithuanian”

This paper describes the grammatical patterning of two parts of speech – nouns and adjectives – included in the corpus-driven “Lexical Database of Lithuanian” as a foreign language. The lexical database is a lexicographic application of the Lithuanian Pedagogic Corpus (approx. 620.000 tokens) which was used to develop headword lists and to collect word usage information in the form of corpus patterns. In this project, we adopted a partially automated inductive procedure of Corpus Pattern Analysis for 207 verbs, 386 nouns, 87 adjectives, and 41 adverbs. The detected corpus patterns reflect different meanings of the headword. Each pattern presents information on grammatical, semantic, and lexical levels. Manually selected examples illustrate all pattern components. In this paper, 673 patterns with nouns and 99 patterns with adjectives will be analysed discussing their syntactic behaviour in detail and providing some comments on lexis-grammar interface. The majority of patterns with nouns and adjectives are minimal patterns which include only the closest syntactical partners. This result is influenced by different procedures used to describe patterns with nouns, adjectives, and adverbs and patterns with verbs. Due to rich grammatical information, there are several similar patterns with one main (usually the most frequent) type and its variants. Pattern variants show that the grammatical characteristics of a specific word usage are rather individual.

The First Corpus-Driven Lexical Database of Lithuanian as L2

The article presents a new resource for A2-B2 learners of Lithuanian as L2 to improve their lexical competence and language production skills. The lexical database is a lexicographic application of the Lithuanian Pedagogic Corpus which was used both to develop headword lists and to collect word usage information. For this study, we adopt the inductive procedure of Corpus Pattern Analysis which was partly automated using the Lithuanian Sketch Grammar in Sketch Engine. We explain the model for pattern recognition and description, sense division, the selection of examples and give some details concerning the user interface.

Não obstante o afeto seja a mola propulsora das relações familiares, certo é que o idoso ainda tem sido vítima de abandono afetivo pela própria prole. Pretende-se, por meio do procedimento indutivo, investigativo bibliográfico e uma abordagem discursiva, chamar a atenção não somente dos filhos que se utilizam desta prática nefasta, mas de toda a família sobre a importância do dever de cuidado, como fonte de melhor qualidade de vida do idoso. Tem-se por motivação minimizar o sofrimento do idoso não pelo intermédio da prestação pecuniária, mas pela conscientização dos próprios filhos, pois, embora amar não seja obrigatório, cuidar é um dever constitucional que não pode ser descurado. ABSTRACT: Take care to this article analysis about the Reverse Affective Abandonment Affective and breach of duty of care by the children, a situation increasingly recurrent in the world, which has generated the victimization of the elderly both in the physical realm, and emotional. Despite the affection is the mainspring of family relationships, it is certain that the elderly still have been a victim of emotional abandonment by the offspring. It is intended by the inductive procedure, bibliographic investigative and a discursive approach, calling attention not only of the children who use this nefarious practice, but the whole family about the importance of the duty of care as a source of better quality life of the elderly. It has been a motivation to minimize the suffering of the elderly not by means of the cash benefit, but the awareness of their children, for although love is not required, care is a constitutional duty that cannot be overlooked. REALISASI PRINSIP KESANTUNAN DALAM DISKUSI INTERNET DI TIGA GRUP DISKUSI HINDU INDONESIA

Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuanuntuk memperoleh pemahaman yang mendalam tentang realisasi prinsip kesantunandalam diskusi internet di tiga grup diskusi Hindu Indonesia. Realisasi prinsip kesantunan tersebut terdiri atas pematuhan dan pelanggaran. Paradigma peneiitian ini adalah kualitatif.Metode yang digunakan adalah analisis isi pragmatik dan prosedur induktif. Data penelitian berupa kutipan-kutipan dialog dalam diskusi internet yang mengandung realisasi prinsip prinsip kesantunan. Data tersebut diperoleh dari rekaman tertulis dialog dalam diskusi internet di tiga grup diskusi Hindu Indonesia. I Iasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa secara umumprinsip kesantunan cendcrung dipatuhi. Ini berarti mereka yang terlibat dalam diskusi internet di tiga grup diskusi Hindu Indonesia secara umum dikategorikan santun dalam berbahasa. A uniform model for almost convexity and rewriting systems

We introduce a topological property for finitely generated groups, called stackable, that implies the existence of an inductive procedure for constructing van Kampen diagrams with respect to a particular finite presentation. We also define algorithmically stackable groups, for which this procedure is an algorithm. This property gives a common model for algorithms arising from both rewriting systems and almost convexity for groups.

Unity and Diversity in Luther's Biblical Exegesis: Psalm 51 As a Test-Case

Most of the standard treatments of Martin Luther's biblical exegesis move deductively: general propositions are enunciated (e.g., Holy Scripture as its own interpreter; all correct interpretation standing under the rule of the analogy of faith, construed Christocentrically) and are then supported with extracts from the Weimar Ausgabe or Luther's Works. Genuinely instructive as such a procedure can be, its total effect is often a rather ‘flat’ or undifferentiated presentation of Luther's biblical interpretation throughout his career. Perhaps some of the dimensions of the subject — the unity and diversity, the constancy and development — would become clearer were we to adopt a more inductive procedure: to examine, compare, and contrast three different specimens of Luther's exegesis of a single text.
