Personalized recommendation has become more and more important for users to quickly find relevant items. The key issue of the recommender system is how to model user preferences. Previous work mostly employed user historical data to learn users’ preferences, but faced with the data sparsity problem. The prevalence of online social networks promotes increasing online discussion groups, and users in the same group often have similar interests and preferences. Therefore, it is necessary to integrate group information for personalized recommendation. The existing work on group-information-enhanced recommender systems mainly relies on the item information related to the group, which is not expressive enough to capture the complicated preference dependency relationships between group users and the target user. In this article, we solve the problem with the graph neural networks. Specifically, the relationship between users and items, the item preferences of groups, and the groups that users participate in are constructed as bipartite graphs, respectively, and the user preferences for items are learned end to end through the graph neural network. The experimental results on the Last.fm and Douban Movie datasets show that considering group preferences can improve the recommendation performance and demonstrate the superiority on sparse users compared

Abstract Background: Social connection is often impacted by acquired brain injury (ABI), contributing to isolation and compromised mental health. Group therapy is thought useful in this context. For those experiencing cognitive communication challenges, finding alternative ways to engage is also valuable. Art therapy may offer pro-social support through shared activity, self-expression, organic subject matter and enduring visual prompts. Method: A multiple A-B-A single case experimental design compared participation in sports discussion and art therapy groups on a long-stay secure unit. Nine individuals with ABI and complex combinations of communication, cognitive and mental health needs were studied. It was hypothesised that for some individuals, participation would be greater in art therapy than sports discussion groups. Results: Results from six individuals with at least five measurement points per phase are reported. Tau statistics revealed significant interphase differences for three individuals. Significantly less participation was recorded for two individuals in art than sports discussion, however they still appeared invested in the art groups. The remaining participant, with the most severe communication difficulties, avoided all baseline sports discussion groups, but participated in almost all art groups, with significant increase between initial sports discussion and art phases. Conclusion: Further research is warranted regarding the potential art therapy offers for group engagement, particularly where complex challenges render traditional talking-style groups less appropriate. Furthermore, disparate and complex needs in severe ABI require diverse, well-designed groups offering different opportunities and responding to individual strengths and motivations. More research into such approaches may increase group participation in this challenging cohort.

The aim of this study was to characterize those schools in the Autonomous Community of the Basque Country (Spain) with high numbers of immigrant students in accordance with their effectiveness level (high or low). Three effectiveness criteria (scores, residuals, and times) were used to select the schools, resulting in three models: a ceiling or floor effect model, a contextualized cross-sectional model, and a contextualized longitudinal model. Of the 524 initial schools analyzed, 7 were found to have high or low effectiveness levels and higher-than-average immigration levels. Following the selection, the discourses of 40 education stakeholders were analyzed through semi-structured interviews and discussion groups. The results highlight the strong sense of vulnerability felt in some schools, as well as the general conviction that greater support, commitment, and stable, collaborative leadership by the management team and inspectorate would contribute to improving effectiveness.

The aim of this study was to explore the experience of women who take care of their children in postpartum and who desire to be understood by society, with no judgements. For this purpose, a qualitative methodology was followed. In-depth interviews, discussion groups, and an online forum were used for data collection. The participants were Spanish women that had given birth in the past 6 months, and their partners. Healthcare specialists with experience in the topic were also included. Results showed three main categories: lack of priority, self-demand, and self-esteem changes. As a conclusion, the concept of motherhood needs to be redefined, as women feel that they are living under the pressure of being a “perfect mother”. It is important that mothers allow themselves to fail in reaching the imposed requirements. Simple acceptance of motherhood boundaries could help in this transition.

Volunteer moderators play a key role when making judgements about which online content should be accepted and which should be removed. As such, their work fundamentally shapes the digital social and political spheres. Using the data obtained from 15 Facebook group moderator interviews as research data, this study focused on the content curation work by the middle-level gatekeepers of Finnish political discussion groups on Facebook. The findings show that the moderators feel strong ownership of the groups they moderate and of the information such groups provide, and as a result, they strongly shape the groups’ discussion and governing policy. Facebook’s governing policy for groups is vague, which gives space for group norms and identities to develop. The stakeholder groups (i.e. the platform administration, moderators and users) do not attend to the governance process all together, so negotiations among them are almost non-existent.

Cyberbullying has become one of the major threats in our society today due to the massive damage that it can cause not only in the cyber world and the internet-based business but also in the lives of many people. The sole purpose of cyberbullying is to hurt and humiliate someone by posting and sending threats online. However, recognition of cyberbullying has proved to be a hard and challenging task for information technologists. The main objective of this study is to analyze and decode the ambiguity of human language used in cyberbullying Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Queer or Questioning (LGBTQ) victims and detect patterns and trends from the results to produce meaning and knowledge. This study will utilize an unsupervised associative approach text analysis technique that will be used to extract the relevant information from the unstructured text of cyberbullying messages. Furthermore, cyberbullying incidence patterns will be analyzed based on recognizing relationships and meaning between cyberbullying keywords with other words to generate knowledge discovery. “Fuck” and “Shit” account almost half of all cyberbullying words and appear more that 75 % in the dataset as the most frequently used words. Further, the terms “shit”+“hate”+ “fuck” with a positive lift value and “shit”+ “stupid” positive obtained the highest chance of togetherness / chance of utilizing both of these words to cyber bully. The combination of words / word patterns was considered abusive swearing is always considered rude when it is used to intimidate or humiliate someone. The output and results of this study will contribute to formulating future intervention to combat cyberbullying. Furthermore, the results can be utilized as a model in the development of a cyberbullying detection application based on the text relations / associations of words in the comments, replies, blog discussion and discussion groups across the social networks.

Hegemonic masculinity has been especially linked, among other aspects, to unhealthy behaviors and heterosexuality. This study aimed to explore the discourses of masculinities with young Spanish men with different sexual orientations (heterosexuals, bisexuals, and homosexuals), comparing them with the social representations that are put into practice on Instagram. Three qualitative approaches were triangulated to seek a richer comprehension and interpretational level: discussion groups, semi-structured interviews, and an online non-participant observation on Instagram with a total of 26 young men aged between 18 and 24. Results indicate that hegemonic masculinity discourse is still significant when understanding and experiencing young men’s masculinities, promoting behaviors that put their health at risk and generating psychological discomfort, especially among non-heterosexual men. Our findings provide knowledge of the social framework that legitimizes and reproduces male domination in younger generations both online and offline and how this is reflected in men’s health.

El siguiente artículo aborda al Profesorado Técnico de Servicios a la Comunidad en los centros educativos públicos de educación secundaria en la Región de Murcia. En palabras de Paredes (2020) el PTSC es un profesional de la educación y agente dinamizador, sirviendo de puente entre el centro educativo de secundaria, la familia, el alumnado y la sociedad. Los objetivos establecidos en el presente artículo, son: conocer las tareas reales del PTSC y analizar las relaciones coherentes o no, existentes entre las tareas oficialmente reguladas y las que desarrollan los PTSC en la realidad educativa. Debido a las características de la muestra así como a la escasa bibliografía en el tema, se ha optado por una metodología mixta en donde se complementa el uso de cuestionarios, entrevistas y grupo de discusión. Como resultados, entre otros, se ha obtenido que el PTSC en la Región de Murcia ejerce como funciones reuniones y seguimientos con familias, coordinación con Servicios Sociales, colaboración con los tutores y tutoras, control del absentismo escolar, fracaso académico y abandono escolar , y por último, mejora de la convivencia y no violencia. Otro resultado a destacar, es que el 55,7% de los encuestados afirma que hay diferencias entre lo que deberían hacer según la normativa y lo que hacen en la práctica laboral diaria. Para finalizar, como conclusión se puede sintetizar en que las tareas asignadas legalmente y las realizadas en la práctica laboral diaria son coincidentes, aunque con matices, y que estas situaciones son múltiples, diversas y complejas. The following article deals with the Technical Teacher of Community Services in public secondary schools in the Region of Murcia. In the words of Paredes (2020), the PTSC is an educational professional and a dynamic agent, who serves as a bridge between the secondary school, the family, the students and society. The objectives established in this article are: to know the real tasks of the PTSC and to analyse the coherent or non-existent relationships between the officially regulated tasks and those developed by the PTSC in the educational reality. Due to the characteristics of the sample as well as the scarce bibliography on the subject, a mixed methodology has been chosen, complementing the use of questionnaires, interviews and discussion groups. As results, among others, it has been obtained that the PTSC in the Region of Murcia has the following functions: meetings and follow-up with families, coordination with Social Services, collaboration with tutors, control of truancy, school failure and school dropout and, finally, improvement of coexistence and non-violence. Another noteworthy result is that 55.7% of those surveyed stated that there are differences between what they should do according to the regulations and what they do in their daily work practice. Finally, as a conclusion, it can be summarised that the legally assigned tasks and those carried out in daily work practice coincide, although with nuances, and that these situations are multiple, diverse and complex.
