Abstract Background: Isolation is important in the prevention and control of infection with multidrug-resistant organisms(MDROs) but implementation is weak. We aim to analyze the impact of multidisciplinary collaborative intervention on isolation in multidrug-resistant organism(MDRO) infection and determine the factors affecting the implementation of isolation measures.Methods: A retrospective analysis of the issuance of isolation orders for 1338 patients with MDRO infection and colonization in 10 months before and after multidisciplinary collaborative interventions carried out on November 1, 2018 at a teaching tertiary hospital in central China. Univariate analysis and multivariate logistic regression analysis were used to analyze factors affecting isolation implementation. Results: The overall issuance rate of isolation orders was 66.12%, which increased from 33.12% before the intervention to 75.88% after the intervention (P <0.000). The multidisciplinary collaborative intervention (OR = 0.154) is a promoting factor for the issuance of isolation orders, in addition to Length of stay(LOS)> 15d (OR = 0.459) and department (P <0.05). Conclusions: Multidisciplinary collaborative interventions related to isolation can promote doctors to issue isolation orders in accordance with regulations.

Abstract One-third of women are victimized by intimate partner violence (IPV) in their lifetime; when women are killed, they are often murdered by a previously abusive intimate partner. Risk-informed collaborative interventions, such as domestic violence high risk teams (DVHRTs), use IPV risk assessment to identify and intervene in high-risk IPV cases. This study reports on the development and testing of the Danger Assessment for Law Enforcement (DA-LE), an IPV risk assessment intended for use with DVHRTs. Data were collected through structured telephone interviews from service-seeking survivors of IPV at two time points approximately seven to eight months apart. One sample (n = 570) was used to develop the DA-LE and another (n = 389) was used to test the predictive validity of the instrument using the receiver operating characteristic area under the curve (AUC). The DA-LE predicted near fatal IPV on follow-up with similar or better accuracy than most validated IPV risk assessment instruments (AUC = 0.6864–0.7516). There were no significant differences in predictive validity based on survivor/offender race or ethnicity. The DA-LE has the potential to identify high-risk police-involved IPV cases. Risk-informed collaborative interventions may enhance outcomes for survivors of IPV by holding offenders accountable, increasing help seeking, and reducing future assaults.

Co-teaching is when two or more people share instructional responsibility for all of the students assigned to them. There are many benefits to students when speech–language pathologists (SLPs) participate in co-teaching relationships with other educators and specialists by working on functional goals in the natural environment of the classroom. With co-teaching, SLPs are able to provide services to students who are eligible for special education and also support their school community through a model of multitiered system of support for all children. The purpose of this tutorial is to provide SLPs with a rationale for collaborative interventions and co-teaching, information about the four co-teaching approaches, planning and collaboration issues partners need to address, and tips for success.
