<span>The purpose of determining the fundamental matrix (F) is to define the epipolar geometry and to relate two 2D images of the same scene or video series to find the 3D scenes. The problem we address in this work is the estimation of the localization error and the processing time. We start by comparing the following feature extraction techniques: Harris, features from accelerated segment test (FAST), scale invariant feature transform (SIFT) and speed-up robust features (SURF) with respect to the number of detected points and correct matches by different changes in images. Then, we merged the best chosen by the objective function, which groups the descriptors by different regions in order to calculate ‘F’. Then, we applied the standardized eight-point algorithm which also automatically eliminates the outliers to find the optimal solution ‘F’. The test of our optimization approach is applied on the real images with different scene variations. Our simulation results provided good results in terms of accuracy and the computation time of ‘F’ does not exceed 900 ms, as well as the projection error of maximum 1 pixel, regardless of the modification.</span>

Aircraft detection in remote sensing images (RSIs) has drawn widespread attention in recent years, which has been widely used in the military and civilian fields. While the complex background, variations of aircraft pose and size bring great difficulties to the effective detection. In this paper, we propose a novel aircraft target detection scheme based on small training samples. The scheme is coarse-to-fine, which consists of two main stages: region proposal and target identification. First, in the region proposal stage, a circular intensity filter, which is designed based on the characteristics of the aircraft target, can quickly locate the centers of multi-scale suspicious aircraft targets in the RSIs pyramid. Then the target regions can be extracted by adding bounding boxes. This step can get high-quality but few candidate regions. Second, in the stage of target identification, we proposed a novel rotation-invariant feature, which combines rotation-invariant histogram of oriented gradient and vector of locally aggregated descriptors (VLAD). The feature can characterize the aircraft target well by avoiding the impact of its rotation and can be effectively used to remove false alarms. Experiments are conducted on Remote Sensing Object Detection (RSOD) dataset to compare the proposed method with other advanced methods. The results show that the proposed method can quickly and accurately detect aircraft targets in RSIs and achieve a better performance.

Abstract: Skimming of card details is the primary problem faced by many people in today’s world. This can be done in many ways. For instance, a thief can insert a small device into the machine and steal the information. When a person swipes or inserts a card, the details will be captured and stored. This problem can be solved using biometrics. Biometrics include fingerprint, iris, face, retina scanning, etc. This paper focused on solving this issue using fingerprint and iris recognition using OpenCV and propose a suitable method for this issue. Fingerprint and iris recognition are performed by identifying the keypoints and descriptors and matching those with the test data.
